“A steamy romance.” —Library Journal Love isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s silent.Gabby Cosette has always been dubbed the good girl of quaint Redwood Ridge, Oregon, and being permanently put in the friend zone has left her dating life stagnant. With no prospects in sight, she clings to her friends and resolves to not let loneliness drag her under. So when the town Battleaxes set their … the town Battleaxes set their matchmaking sights on her, she figures it can’t hurt. Yet the guy they think is perfect for her just happens to be not only her boss at the veterinarian clinic, but her best friend. Sure, Flynn O’Grady is attractive and the nicest guy around, but going there with him would topple both of their carefully constructed worlds and there would be no going back. Even if he is starting to make her girly parts zing.
Having been born deaf, Flynn has already felt like an outsider most of his life. Aside from his brothers, Gabby is about the only person who’s gone out of her way to treat him as more than a handicap. Which is exactly why he’s banked his secret attraction for his sweet, beautiful vet tech. Except his meddling family is trying to play Cupid and ruin the best thing to ever happen to him. Without Gabby, his work as a veterinarian, never mind his personal life, wouldn’t flow. Determined to ignore the antics, he’s secure in the knowledge she’s not interested in him romantically. But then a kiss changes everything . . . and he’s wondering if taking the ultimate shot at love might be worth the risk.

‘Tracking you’ is the second book in the ‘Redwood Ridge’ series and is about the second oldest O’Grady brother, Flynn. After enjoying the first book in this series so much I was really looking forward to Flynn and Gabby’s story and I can say that I liked their story also very much.
Flynn and Gabby met when they were children and when Gabby discovered that Flynn was deaf, she learned sign language to speak to her new friend and they have been best friends since then. His deafness didn’t stop Flynn from becoming a veterinarian, just like his father and his two brothers. And with Gabby at his side as his vet tech assistant things go very smoothly. Both of them have good lives but there is one thing missing in their life and that is a love. Because of his deafness, Flynn has find it hard to really connect with a woman and Gabby may have a gentle and good heart, guys always end up going for her sister and not for her. Both are more than ready for love and to settle down but they just haven’t find the right partner. Gabby and Flynn, both want someone who looks further than just the outside, someone who can see into their hearts. Someone who accepts every part of them. Maybe someone like their best friend?
When their friendship slowly change from friends to lovers, both are hopeful and fearful but this new direction could be a wonderful thing or a disaster to their friendship. Are Gabby and Flynn ready to open their eyes and hearts to each other?
‘Tracking you’ is a friends to lovers story. It was so lovely to see all the characters from the first book again! That is also the reason that I would suggest that you start with the first book, it gives this story more emotions and depth when you know the background of the secondary characters of the previous book. And again you get both POV’s in the story.
I love both the main characters very much. Flynn is just like his two other brothers, a really great and good guy. He may not be an alpha but he is protective of Gabby and she of him. It’s really lovely to see how their relationship goes from friends to lovers and like in most of these cases, they are the last ones to see that they belong together. The connection between them is sweet, intimate and filled with lots of love. It is really wonderful to experience it. Gabby is such a lovely character, she has a big heart and is very understanding of Flynn’s feelings and insecurities.
The bond between the three brothers is strong and filled with friendship and humour. They are really there for each other and for their friends.
This is a story without drama but that doesn’t mean it’s boring. No! It’s the perfect story to forget your worries and enjoy a sweet, still emotional and steamy romance story. I’m already looking forward to Drake’s story and other stories of this writer.
Favorite Quotes:
Most of the town knew to take off sprinting when the Battleaxes headed their way. The women meddled. A lot. Not only as a hobby, but a life mission… Flynn could no more thwart the Battleaxes than a Band-Aid could help with an amputation.
You are no star, Gabby. You’re the sky. The rest of us are just circling your orbit.
Seriously, look at you. The good girl, a great buddy, the town sweetheart. Annoying, really. You make the rest of us look like henchmen with leprosy.
Did you happen to pay attention to Gabby last night? You broke her. You made her cry. Gabby who burps sunshine and farts rainbows.
I love you, Gabby. I love you so much I can’t think if you’re not in my vicinity.
My Review:
Tracking You was an amusing, heart-squeezing, panty-melting, friends to lovers romance. I adored every page of this thoughtful, well-written, and engaging story. Kelly Moran has an extremely enjoyable and fluid writing style that I find highly entertaining and easy to follow. I just seem to free-fall into her delightfully sweet and steamy stories and smirk and gasp my way through to the conclusion. I am in love with these quirky and endearing characters, even the Battleaxes, and am already eager for the next installment.
This is about Gabby Cosette and Flynn O’Grady who all theirs lives have been skipped over for other people because everybody considers Gabby as just a friend especially men and Flynn because he has a disability [he can’t hear] and he has a quiet nature. Gabby and Flynn are not only best friends [since childhood] they are co-workers. Gabby has always been there for Flynn and vise versa. Flynn has had feelings for Gabby but, kept locked them up as he is afraid of what will happen to their friendship if he acted on his feelings. Gabby is disappointed that Flynn only sees her as a friend. Then while she was helping with slow dancing [for his brothers wedding] Flynn kisses her hotly and that opens his eyes and he has a hard time getting that kiss out of his mind. They do have a talk about what could/would happen between them. Do you want to know more?? Well then you will need to read this book. I totally loved this book. Thank you Kelly!!
Tracking You, the story of Gabby Cosette and Flynn O’Grady is a delightful, touching, fun, emotional, and passionate tale about friends for life, family, small town living, and finding the happily forever after with your best friend.
I absolutely adore this series, the fact that Tracking You is as wonderful story as Puppy Love (book one) – filled with deep emotions and charming characters – was no surprise to me, but it still managed to steal my breath away with poignant, stirring storytelling.
Flynn O’Grady and Gabby Cosette have been the best friends ever since they first time met, in kindergarten. The connection they have is unique, their lives have twined together into a beautiful, harmonic balance over the years. The attraction they have for each other is better left untouched, there is no need to rock the boat, right?!
What I loved the most about Flynn and Gabby is how they never let the other one feel ignored, how they see each other to the core of the other’s being, not the disabilities or handicaps, but the person inside. They celebrate that person, they take care of each other, they constantly look out for each other. It’s like the other person’s happiness is their own, fulfilling their needs, making themselves complete as long as the other is happy. And this symposium is truly working for them.
You can imagine the spark, the fireworks they create when they finally dare to act upon the attraction and deeper feelings that have been building up inside them nearly all their lives. And the inferno they fall into when things don’t work as they hoped and when the people’s discrimination and doubts against handicapped are voiced, when for the first time ever they have to ignore the other to survive the heartbreak.
The O’Grady brother’s bond is as strong as ever. I love the fun banter between them. They are always there for each other, either to give hell or support, whatever is needed. Flynn’s connection to little Hailey is so tender and poignant, it had me in tears.
Overall the dialog is delicious, I was constantly anticipating what on earth comes out of their mouth’s the next time. Confession – I read the book twice. I just started over when I finished the first time. Honestly, I’m blown away with the connection I feel to this series and to these characters. It is the earnest love, care, and consideration they have for each other, how their enjoy life, living, and loving. How deeply they feel both joy and sadness, and how well those feelings are balanced in the tale.
There is a great energy of acceptance and approval within the tight circle of friends and family. If there is one thing a reader can take home from this story it is the fact that we all have handicaps, each of us is disabled in one way or other, but not to focus on those things that might make us less than ‘perfect’ but celebrate what we are, who we truly are inside.
I said at the end of Puppy Love that I was in awe of the story, well folks, that wonderment has not worn off. I am in love and highly anticipating for the series to continue. Can I give more than five spoons for this one?!
~ Five Spoons!
For years, Gabby has always been the good girl and Flynn’s best friend. Both Gabby and Flynn are always passed over, Gabby because she’s sweet and innocent; Flynn because he’s deaf. Yet, dating each other didn’t seem to be an option. But what is awesome is the power of suggestion. Once the thought is put in your mind, it’s kinda hard to get out. The Battle Axes are playing matchmakers with some help from Brent and sparks fly!
Flynn has always had a crush on Gabby, but not wanting to lose their friendship he pushed those feelings away. Once Flynn gives in, something amazing happens. They click. They are meant for each other and everyone knows it, but when is the other shoe going to drop? The story of going from friends to dating was nicely done (with a pretty hot love scene!) The insecurities on both sides just grabbed you and refused to let you go. I was almost in tears in quite a few scenes. This may be my favorite book of the series, although I am looking forward to Drake’s story. Excuse me, I have to go reread this book!
