I am a ghost,a captive stripped of my own identity.I’ve lived in solitude in the depths of hell until the devil appeared, pulling me out of the darkness and shoving me into the arms of my new prison. But sometimes a prison becomes a home. And sometimes that home is within the heart of a man.I have a debt to pay and my brother’s collecting. He makes the messes and I deal with the aftermath. Only … deal with the aftermath. Only this time, he went too far and took something that wasn’t his and now it’s my problem.
She’s a liability and the last thing I need.
She’s an enigma and she’s everything I need.
Our separate hells brought us together.
Our personal inferno molded us into one.
The devil reappeared and tore us apart.
I will turn this world upside down until I find her.

C.M. Radcliff you did amazing with this book. It hit my emotions in all the right spots. I finished this book in less in 24 hours cause it was so good I couldn’t put it down. This book made me stop for a few just to take in everything but the suspense kept me wanting more.
This book blew me away! It was unexpected, dark and made me clap a few times! I’m a forever fan of this author now!
Wow this book was so good. I am a huge fan of dark romances and this one was so fgood. I loved every part of it. As soon as I started it I couldn’t be able to put it down. The dark in this book consumed me so quick and I was sucked into the story. There were lots of triggers. Kidnapping. Torturing. Lots of blood. I was reading with my mouth open in shock at some scenes, but hell I loved every single part of it. The pace was perfect. And the writing amazing. Easy to read. I highly recommend it for people who love dark mind fuck romances. Well done to the author. That was my first read by her, but now I want to read all her books. 5
Oh Holy Night, this book is AMAZING!!!!!! It’s dark and twisted and amazing and fast and everything I didn’t expect it to be. This is the first book I’ve read by the author and I just found out that there is a duet that precedes this which features all of the other characters.
If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would.
I freaking loved this! It’s sick and twisted but has an eerily reality like something you’d see on Dateline. It had me hooked from the beginning and the touch of romance that has you eagerly turning the pages. I definitely recommend this book but be warned it’s not for the faint of heart.
“The darkness is so frighteningly beautiful, it draws you in like a moth to a flame and I’m already in, deeper than I’d ever admit, slowly falling into his sinful world.”
Rowena is like a ghost, captive and living in solitude. Her life had been shrouded in darkness since she was ten years old. But, the thing about ghosts is they aren’t afraid of death. Her prison is quickly becoming home.
Griffin is paying a debt to his brother- the devil himself. He cleans up the messes Jared leaves behind. But this time, he has gone too far, and Rowena lands in his lap.
Their separate hells brought them together, until the devil himself tore them apart.
This was the first book by C.M. Radcliff that I have read. It was dark and twisted, and you never knew what was going to happen next. I was drawn in by the cover, and the blurb, immediately wanting more. I felt for Rowena, and the crazy, life she has lived. I enjoyed watching this story unfold, 4 out of 5.
This story keeps you in its clutches from the 1st page breaking your heart as you watch tragedy step in and not leave Ro until the end.
She’s one of the strongest Heroines I’ve come to read about. Mrs Radcliff places her on situations where as a reader you can’t help but cross your fingers hoping for peace on the next page turn and yet Traces Of Her teaches us Survivors are made from the awful situations they live thru.
There is most definetly a HEA, and as a dark romance lover i must say I personally didn’t feel like a trigger warning is need because situations aren’t in full detail so it should be safe for sensitive readers. My last side note is this is a spin off from this authors duet so if you’ve read it 1st you’ll understand this story best.
Traces of Her by CM Radcliff was seriously way more amazing than I thought it was going to be. First, that cover, that cover drew me in like I couldn’t help myself. I wanted to read this story solely based on that gorgeous cover. It did not disappoint me at all. The characters were super interesting and I found myself rooting for the characters… as messed up as they were. This story is a dark trip and starts at the tender age of 10 for Rowena. Life is altered and her life is drastically changed. I was fascinated with both Griffin and Rowena, fascinated.
Traces of Her is an intense and all-consuming. This is not a story for the faint at heart or the weak stomach. I wish I had realized there were connected stories beforehand but I’m not sure that would have stopped me. I was in love with this cover and had to read it! However, with that said… I could tell I was missing some things. Oh well, it just gives me more books to add to the ol’ TBR pile! This book has everything I want from a dark romance… suspense and mystery, with hot passionate loving, darkness… so much darkness, and love. It’s all there!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
And back to the dark we go…I love when two broken souls connect immediately. Like they call out to each other even if the people housing those souls aren’t aware of it yet. Rowena’s life was picture perfect, until it wasn’t. And Griffin’s was shadowed with evil from the beginning. And then there is Jared – evil personified. A barrier to Griffin when he was younger, but turned the hatred on him when he got older. I just can’t even with him – zero redeeming qualities. Sometimes the bad guy has some semblance of kindness – other than when he was younger, there was none, zero, zip.
You get the other side of Lydia’s captivity in this book – from Grif and Ro’s point of view. I loved both of their characters and how they were portrayed – they were absolutely perfect for each other. Both of them forced into a life neither of them asked for, but did the best they could with what they had. Jared got his comeuppance and Grif and Ro got their happily ever after that they so deserved. Great book/series that I highly recommend checking out!
This new to me author has impressed me immensely with this dark and gritty book that has left me with tingles all over my body.
This story was so damn fascinating and held my attention throughout the whole book.
Rowena and Griffith were pretty much thrown at each other without wanting to. It’s bad enough Ro already has issues and she doesn’t have a very good childhood per se after the death of her best friend as a child.
The things she goes through as a child is just appalling and I hated to read what she went through in those few years of her life.
She goes from being in one bad situation to jumping right into another one, but she’s a survivor and I loved that about her. She was done with everything and everyone and was just taking things as they go. Ro and Griffith end up getting to know each other better and they start confiding in each other and sharing their demons and at the same time they are faced with the devil (Grif’s brother Jared). They never know what to expect from him or what he has planned next. He was one hell of a psychopath.
We get nothing but suspense throughout this book that will leave you on the edge of your seat.
C.M. Radcliff Drew me into this book from the very beginning. It was riveting and kept me guessing until the end. Well worth the read.
Traces of her is my first book book by CM Radcliff but will not be my last. I loved the progression of the book as well as the characters. Once you start you will not be able to put it down!!
Wow! This is my first time reading this author but definitely not the last. I loved all the dark and twistyness that was this story. Looking forward to reading the backlist of Ms. Radcliff and future releases.
I had never heard of this author before. I saw the cover and the blurb that was inviting. So I decided to take a chance.
oh my god! What a mind F*&%k. I was blown away by this intense and addicting story. It was rough, raw and gruesome. I loved it!!!!!!! It’s a dark story but not the love story. It’s the storyline in between. I was kept on the edge of my seat throughout. I basically devoured this story. I was surprised at every turn. I never knew what to expect.
I don’t want to reveal anything because it needs to be experienced. Let me say this if you Love darkish kinds of stories, trust me you need to read this.
Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story.
Wow. Just wow. I absolutely loved this book. It took me on a twisted game to see who came out on top. After Rowena was stripped of everything she finally escaped. I always wondered who Ghost Girl was and what her story was. I am so happy that her and Griffin got their HEA after everything they both went through.
We can read this story in the present time. We can read this story from Rowena’s point of view. The beginning of the story references we get to the end. We fly back to the present where Rowena and Maggie’s compete with bicycle. Maggie’s life loses in an unfortunate accident. Rowena gives flowers for Maggie’s parents a year later. The girl’s life will completely changed.
Tragedy, mental problems and love there, where no one would have thought.

I really loved this book, this book took my heart crushed it and put it back together again. Damn Rowena is a strong girl she goes thru some traumatic events and she still comes out kicking and screaming, just to end up in another situation. Wow what can I say I love Griffin he’s such a broken and tortured soul just like Rowena who are thrown in together in a situation not of their making but they come out strong and tougher.
I freaking loved this book it gets you sucked in since the first page and you just can’t put down. This is a must read, if you haven’t read the other books you should to be understand the stories better.
I’m so torn on this book. It had my attention from the beginning. Overall, I think it was a tad too dark for my taste. That being said, it was absolutely well written. I felt as though I knew the characters and what they each went through was tragic. While we got a little HEA in the last chapter I could have used more just to balance out the intensity and angst of the book. That’s the only reason I can’t do a 5th star for my review. This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I will definitely try more.
In the midst of all the darkness lays one hell of a Ghost.
This book is Fanfluckingtastic!! Rowena and Griffin’s story is addictive. Both their lives have been turned upside down, their pasts forcing them to rely on their survival instincts. The book is dark, gritty, contains triggers and is deliciously dangerous.
I loved all the characters, yes, even sadistic Jarad.
C.M has delivered another fantastic dark read, her writing is impeccable.
Dear CM Radcliff,
Please return my heart.
Love,
A Forever-Will-Be-Yours Reader
In Traces of Her, be prepared to witness such utter strength and pain, truly intense hatred and love, gutted heartache and redemption.
I am usually an HEA reader, and avoid the cracks and crevices of both physical and mental torment and pain. But when an author can create a world that savors the psyche and takes you along on her journey as an extension of her soul, then I am willing to forego my sweet sensitivities.
