~ An Alpha Male, Relationship Coach, Erotic Romance ~I don’t know when things became so out of control. On one hand, I have new patients who exhibit all the signs of a toxic relationship: anger spewing from the man, fear emanating off the woman, faded bruises that look to be covered by makeup, and an obvious level of control that exceeds anything that can be considered healthy. On the other hand, a … healthy.
On the other hand, a blast from my not-so-distant-past has returned, and the effects of her arrival are like wildfires being set throughout my life. The flames are spreading too rapidly for me to put them out, and somebody is bound to be burned.
I don’t know when things became so out of control, but if I don’t reel it all in, everything I’ve built will become ashes in the wind.

This book ended this series perfectly for me. Again we see Dr. Malcolm Colson take on another couple with another troubled relationship that we again watch him pick apart and put together again. This book indeed stands up to its name, as for Dr. Colson his private life gets more than a little toxic.
Again I will be very vague with my review as I don’t feel that much can be spoken about. It would ruin far too much, even if a little snippet was to be spoke of. Just know its not plain sailing, its not pretty. It keeps you on your toes, on the edge of your seat, and at times, it just makes you sad, confused, and angry.
This book has been brilliant to read it will leave you with a mixture of emotions and for me a relief it’s over. Not in this book is the rubbish way. In a way, that I don’t think I could take much more. This book and series are a huge recommendation from me.

4.5 stars! What a journey Malcolm went through as well as Kim and Trent.
Every book in this series opens your eyes to what goes on all the time as we see with the different couples. I’ve enjoyed all of them and the advice given while we see Malcolm deal with all that’s going on in his life.
As things are finally calm and Malcolm has some happiness in his life, we see Ava make a reappearance. How does this affect him? You have to find out 🙂 I highly recommend starting with book 1, The Therapist so you can go on Malcolm’s journey from the beginning. Trust me, this is a must read series.
This series has totally blown me away and I know I have said this about all the books so far so I will say it again for this book, but it was insanely good and amazing!! Each book has been unique in that we get to follow a different couple and their specific issues that Dr. Malcolm tries to help them through and then we get to continue the story of Dr. Malcolm and his personal life. Things seem to be going good for Malcolm and Evelyn, they have a happy relationship that is working for them and enjoying every second of each other, but things seem to be going too well and something or someone has it out for them. Dr. Malcolm has new clients he is helping, and this couple reminds him of his past relationship and realizes how Toxic it truly was. There are a lot of twists and turns, Dr Malcolm helping this new couple who are volatile to each other, and while trying to navigate his own life and situations. Not to give too much away, I will just say I loved this book and Dr. Malcolm. This series has been a fun one for me because of its uniqueness and originality. This quote was my favorite that Dr. Malcolm stated and sums up his life, this series, and the world we live in: “The reason the world seems to be in such disarray is because we as a society don’t know how to communicate with each other. We make assumptions about the people on the opposite side of the argument, and never take the time to learn anything about people who think differently than we do.”
Toxic is the fourth and final book in this series and it did not disappoint! At the end of the third book I was expecting life to get a little ‘toxic’ for Malcolm and sadly for him it most certainly did.
Once again, we see Malcolm helping new clients with their relationship difficulties and I love that the author addressed the issues that Kim and Trent were having. I appreciated how the outcome from their therapy sessions was written too. I have genuinely enjoyed witnessing Dr Colson helping and advising different clients throughout the series and I have gained a greater understanding due to being able to read the different perspectives of Malcolm and those clients. It was also interesting to see him using his training during the times when he experienced complications in his own personal life – especially with Evelyn who is a therapist herself.
Toxic has been a great ending to a must-read series. It has all the drama that I was hoping for, which had me on the edge of my seat at times.
The Therapist is a series that I recommend without hesitation. The books must be read in order and I am certain they will keep you gripped from start to finish as they did me. I have loved the way that W.S. Greer has written this series; it is unlike any other I have read before.
