I loved this emotional, sexy, completely satisfying romance! Carly Phillips writes books for your keeper shelf.
Kane and Halley are fun characters. I recommend this read!
I really enjoyed these characters and their struggles.
In this new book by Phillips we are introduced to Kane, a young man who owns his own Garage in the town of Rosewood Bay. Rosewood Bay is a town in New England that sits by the ocean. It’s a place where there is always an influx of summer visitors who enjoy spending time there but always leave. Kane learns this when his ex, who came for a summer, made it clear that he wasn’t good enough for her when it came to her real life. He has grown tired of dating summer people and hopes to find that special someone to make a life with. When Kane gets a call about a motorist who needs assistance he is surprised to find out it’s Halley Ward, a young girl he protected when they attended school together. It has been forever since he has seen her but she sparks an immediate interest in Kane. Haley lives a life of solitude enjoying her passion for painting and she isn’t looking for that to change. You see when she was younger she ended up in the foster care system and things weren’t always a bowl of cherries. Haley has taken her childhood experiences into her adult life and doesn’t seem to realize that they are holding her back from actually living. Follow along as Kane tries to show Haley what laughter, love and truly living can do for a persons inner self. Will she let him help her through all the things that are holding her back or will she stay the same old Haley. This was a lovely read filled with a roller coaster ride of emotions that had me crying one minute and smiling the next. I look forward to seeing what happens for some of the other characters in the book, will they find what Kane and Haley did in their books?
Wow!! Fearless is the perfect story to start off the new Rosewood Bay series by Carly Phillips!
Halley is a quiet woman who has kept to herself for years because of all of the issues her family has had. Kane, a mechanic, also has his fair share of family issues but does not let that get him down. When he is called to tow Halley’s car, he’s smitten with the woman he once knew back in High School. Kane knows that it will take patience, understanding and a whole lot of trust to keep Halley in his life for good, which is exactly what he wants. But when Halley runs, will Kane have what it takes to show her that he is truly in this for the long haul?
I truly enjoyed this book and devoured it in one afternoon. The story was full of all the emotion you could possible pack into one story…from hurt to helplessness to love and understanding. I look forward to so much more from Rosewood Bay!
I knew it, I just knew it. What you ask??? Well you see this is one of those books that will grab you by the throat, the back of the hair and have you going, Yesssssssss. I always knew that author Carly Phillips could write a good books ….but this book shows me that she writes from the soul.
Kane Harmon and Halley Ward are not just two people who happened to run into each other because her car needed to be worked on. Oh no so much worked in the fates. So much in the past becomes the present. This book is is so well written and I can’t believe I am actually going to put this out here, it is mirrors my life in so many ways. Once I finished this book I passed it off to my husband, who is my Kane. He was amazed at how much it was like our history and life. I am so looking forward to the next book in this series. I have read this twice now and yes I am looking forward to a third time.
I didn’t love this story but then again I didn’t hate it either.it was cute and charming but I really felt nothing for either character. Overall, it was okay.
I really enjoyed this book by Carly Phillips and it was a good start to this series. Kane and Halley were cute together and I’m glad they developed a friendship which was difficult for Halley. I liked that Kane recognized her fears and did everything he could to make her feel comfortable. They really deserved a HEA with what they’ve been through and their family drama. This story had all the feels and I was invested in what happened to them. I really liked the secondary characters and looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.
From tragedy comes loving oneself and others, amazing story.
I look forward to reading anything by Carly Phillips! Herfast paced dialogues, amazing characters keep me coming back for more.
A troubled woman from a troubled past meets a man who dealt with trouble all his life. Heavy on sex, light on foul language. Happy for now ending. Good writing.
Really wanted to love this book. But gosh darn is Halley annoying. Same thing over & over….
Usually love this author but this book missed the mark. The story just did not flow and pull together. Very disappointed.
Loved these two and how they helped each other. Very sexy. Good depiction of someone with anxiety and OCD. I appreciated how compassionate she was.
Romantic, but not sexual graphic, leaving enough to the imagination for the reader to drW logical conclusions! GOOD READ
This book made me laugh, cry and fall in love with the characters. Another ” can’t put it down until I have finished it” book. Loved it!
Steamy
I initially struggled with the rich girl and the mechanic. Then I really liked it for awhile. At 42% it got steamy … and then every 5 to 10 pages another steamy. Too often just has me flipping past to the story. I was intrigued when Meg was brought in. Really would have wished for a different ring issue. Wish a different Julliette ending.
A fabulous gentle romance with fabulous characters with real life problems and baggage. No shaming addictions, but rather a true view of how addiction is a family disease. As a recent owner of a rescue dog, kudos for adding that level. No one turns a phase better than Phillips. One of the best written books I’ve read this year.
I won a free copy of this one, and it was fabulous! Everyone in this story has baggage and backstory, but I loved how they took care of each other. Halley and Kane makes each other better people. Cute romance!
