Frost travels the star systems, bringing intergalactic fugitives to justice, and this time it’s a maximum-security prisoner who has escaped. Under normal circumstances this would require quite a bit of skill and caution to handle, but this fugitive has escaped to a distant, forbidden planet inhabited by a race that has not mastered space travel yet – which means this mission will probably … get…complicated.
Lacey Adams is a widow who owns an animal shelter in the small town of Magic, New Mexico… an unusual town, to say the least, but she’d never encountered an alien before, at least not that she knew of, and now there are two of them in her home!
When Lacey is taken hostage by the fugitive, Frost is shocked to discover that his heart is not as frozen as he thought, and Lacey is a far more formidable opponent than either the fugitive or Frost could have imagined….

I have never been into romance involving aliens and other worlds so picked up this book on the recommendation of a couple of friends. I LOVED IT! Frost is absolutely one of the sexiest alpha male I have read about and Lacey is strong, curvy and adorable that I fell in love with her almost as much as I did Frost. If you want a great read with action, friendship, love and hot sex? This is your book!

S.E. Smith’s TOUCH OF FROST starts the Magic, New Mexico shared-world series. I already loved this book and the delightful world she’d created, so I was honored to be asked to participate in the shared world. TOUCH OF FROST an excellent blend of paranormal romance, science fiction romance, and fun. The hilarious fate of one of the villains is especially delicious.
I found this story really interesting and the plot new.
Want another book for this series. Very interesting and entertaining series with Supernaturals and Aliens. Hot Alien and smart witch with a alien criminal dropping into a community of strange and interesting characters. Funny and sexy story that leaves you wanting to know more about the residents of Magic New Mexico.
Paranormal meets Science Fiction Romance.
Lacey is a witch living in a small town full of paranormal residents. Frost, a Glacian, is a Star Ranger tracking down a lizard like criminal and finds himself in Magic. Frost is going to have to break the rules if he wants to keep Lacey. I like Lacey and Frost and many of the other people from Magic but Jonah & Joseph steal the show!
I’m very curious to know who the Director in Black is. I also wonder what happened with Agent Maxwell.
I’m not sure if or when there will be a crossover with this series and Lords of Kassis but we meet a Glacian in Risteard’s Unwilling Empress.
Has anyone else ever thought that alien civilizations might be a titch bigoted about their technological superiority over Earth? This is the first time (other than in John Conroe’s Demon Accord books) that Earth’s preternatural or supernatural denizens proved to such alien civilizations that Earth was not be despised. I really enjoyed this twist! Oh, to be a fly on the wall of the chambers where the Directors were meeting! I really enjoyed this twist!
You can never go wrong with a book by this author. Laugh out loud occurrences happen.
Magic New Mexico is just that, a place where lots of different paranormals live, including talking animals and ghosts. This of course gives rise to lots of humour and comedy due to the actions of these residents as magic abounds.
Humour, silliness and magic abound in this story. Add in super hunky alien ranger that comes to earth to apprehend a nasty alien, horrible government agents, evil scientists and you get one hell of a story.
Love what happens at the end with everyone turning up on Frost’s planet.
A fun read that I have reread numerous times but I am rereading as a third book has at long last been written.
My previous reviews have gone missing but it is no hardship to read and review again.
Enjoyed the story of Frost a alien falling in love with a witch. He was a law officer from his world after a fugitive and Lacey lives in Magic New Mexico where everything is not as it seems to other humans but the magic vibe for Frost was with her deceased husbands consent for wanted her to be happy and smile again.
