The finale to the Dublin Devils trilogy is here and it does not disappoint! I fell in love with the MacFarlane brothers, Cian, Liam, Finn and Conner and their misfortune of fate to be born into a Chicago Irish mafia family. Beneath their hard exteriors were the hearts and souls of great men with dreams of their own. Dreams that went far beyond their daily lives of organized crime. Since this is a trilogy it is mandatory to read all of the books in order because of the ongoing storyline. At the end of Brush of Despair Cian is left searching for his love, Lila. His younger brother Finn has been taken into police custody and his two other brothers Liam and Connor are finally free from the hold of the mafia. Now I am not going to give away what happens to Liam, Lila and Finn but I will say that every question that you have will be resolved in Touch of Dark. As with the other two books it is told from dual POV and is loaded with action and intrigue with a touch of romance. I honestly cannot recommend this trilogy enough!
Third book in a series that I have not read, but even so it was a good read. Is it possible to get out of the Irish Mafia? The MacFarlane brothers want nothing more. With plot twists, suspense, and a bit of unexpected attraction, Selena Laurence writes an intriguing story.
What a great ending to a great series! I loved the characters, and how family was first. I would recommend this book to everyone!I absolutely loved this series, and this book was a perfect ending! The characters and plot were well thought out. I would recommend this series to anyone!

Amazing. The Dublin Devils series captivated me from the first page and in this final book, I was on pins and needles needing to know how this loyal group of brother’s journey would end. In all of Cian’s planning to get his brother’s out of the family mob business, he never expected to fall in love and have that used against him. Knowing Lila has been taken and his father is out of commission, the race is on to find her. He takes solace knowing the Connor and Liam are now safe but Finn is waiting to be released which is delayed as Cian searches for Lila. I love that the story is told from multiple characters viewpoints which adds so much depth as all the crazy and unexpected events unfold. Even as a mob boss who has to make questionable decisions at times, you can’t help but love him for the loyalty he shows his whole family and all the risks that he takes to free them from the family business which allows them all to find true happiness. I don’t want to say anymore, dive into this series, you won’t regret it. I read this book using Kindle Unlimited.
Lila from Rouge is tougher than we all thought. When you read this last installment you will have to choice to fall in love with Cian all over gain. The things he has been planning for years will blow your mind. You will wonder how a person can think that far ahead of time and put in place the things her does for the ones he loves !!
Yes .. there is the usual mob situations, torcher, death BUT there is som much LOVE it will make you cry .. just plain out cry for Cian.
Can he go to jail for even helping the feds .. YES .. and he would do it again and again and again if it meant keeping his brothers and their loved ones safe.
One surprise after the another will have you turning the pages faster and faster !! I hated to see it end ..
The series has been one wild rollercoaster ride and the ending is just plain awesome.
It’s hard for me to feel empathy for a mob boss. The crimes, the killings, the shady deals. Selena Laurence made the MacFarlane boys likeable. The motto “family first” is central for these men. The ladies they fell for are as remarkable, as they are varied. Cian kept his promises to his family and made huge sacrifices for them. He, and his brothers surprised me and I really enjoyed reading about their journeys.
WOW !! This was a wonderful book !! Captivating and suspenseful ! Cian has a strong love for his brothers as well as his kidnapped girl, Lila. He’s trying to find who took her and where they have her in addition to trying to help his brother Finn get out of custody and to a safe house AS WELL as hiding from the FBI until he can find his girl. Will he be able to do all these things, some or none ? I loved it !! Highly recommend !!

Wow! That is all I can say! What an ending to a fantastic series. You fall in love with the MacFarlane brothers and you don’t want it to end. I would recommend this book to everyone. A fantastic read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What a finale! The Dublin Devils is an amazing read. These brothers stories will have you on the end of your seat. They were born into the Chicago Irish mafia but want out. They go through so much. I loved them, their women and the love they had for one another. Everything gets tied up beautifully with this final book. A must read and well worth the wait!
I absolutely loved this series and this was a great conclusion. I love Cian,Liam,Connor and Finn, and how much these brothers loved each other. They all want out of their mobster (mafia) life. Could Finn be falling for a cop ( Keira)? Will Cian find and save his Lila? My heart really aches for him, is the only way to save his brothers is to sacrifice himself? I went through so many emotions. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy through book-sprout and I highly recommend this book.
FINALLY, the conclusion we’ve all been waiting for!! Thank you Selena Laurence to wait was worth it. Cian is still struggling to leave the family business while protecting his brothers. A balancing act that has left him stressed and vulnerable. A dark and gritty page turner that will keep you reading well past bedtime to finish.
The MacFarlane Brothers are back again in this thrilling conclusion to the Dublin Devils trilogy by Selena Laurence. When the series left off, Cian MacFarlane was plotting to get his brothers out of the family business. He’d almost accomplished his goal when his father decided to rein Cian back in by taking something he loves. Then there was the added drama of one of the brothers being taken into custody. This book picks up right back in the midst of that drama, and I could not turn the pages quickly enough. I love a great lawless hero, and the MacFarlane brothers walk that line so carefully I can’t help but cheer for them. Cian is a criminal mastermind, determined to rescue Lila from Rogue (I still love that so much), but what he forgets is that he doesn’t have to do it all on his own. His brothers, Liam and Finn, are just as committed to helping Cian. I was all-in for Cian’s sacrifice and so appreciated The Queen’s role as savior in the end. She’s such an amazing woman, and one of my favorite heroines. Who else could challenge a mafia boss and win his heart! A Touch of Dark was a non-stop, page-turning, stay up way too late, can’t put it down story! I’m sad their story is over, but thrilled that the MacFarlane brothers found love and some peace.

In this last book of the trilogy, we saw Lila in captivity. While Cian was racing against the clock, to save her, with Liam’s help, he was also arrested. Things went from bad to worse for our hero. He was able to rescue Lila though, and his three brothers were saved with their significant others. They all left the country. Cian, was in prison, awaiting trial for two years! At Last it all worked out, and my heart rejoice. This saga has me in a roller coaster of emotions. I love Cian, and his brothers, the women who love them are no slouch either. I will be rereading this again. So enjoyable and full of hearts.

Well shit has definitely hit the fan!! Liam and Connor have been swept away with their loves to a secure place, and Cian only has his brother Finn and Lila from Rogue left to squirrel away from the grimy clutches of the FBI. There is only one problem, the FBI have Finn in custody and Lila from Rogue has been kidnapped by an unbalanced, dangerous psychotic, that was hired by Cian’s father. The CPD and FBI are hot on Cian’s tail and his time is running out to find and save Lila. Once she is safe he can work on protecting his brother from a life in prison. But they may have an ally in the CPD, one who is sweet on Finn. And she may just come in handy for what Cian has planned.
This final installment of this suspenseful and captivating story of four sexy Irish mob brothers is attention grabbing and passionate and totally worth the wait! The whole series held a cloak and dagger suspense that was filled with drama, danger, betrayal and four complex romances. It had me drowning in the desperation that Cian is feeling in needing to get his family safely secured from the FBI. The family bond and honor shine through in this spectacular trilogy. Bravo S. Laurence!! I absolutely loved and adored this Irish Mafia Series. I highly recommend the Dublin Devils to all mafia lovers!
Wow! What a finale, where do I begin?
First, I’ll say I expected it to be good and boy was I impressed. Selena Laurence did not disappoint. Prior to this, I’d never read any of her books. Now I won’t miss another. Calling this series unputdownable doesn’t quite do it justice.
On to the story…
(((SPOILER)))
Cian MacFarlane (my book boyfriend in my head) is the head honcho of the Dublin Devils and is in a world of trouble. Trouble he didn’t ask for he’d just inherited. He’s had enough of his father and mob life and is eager to trek far away from it as possible. Though with vengeful enemies and the FBI hounding down his back at every turn, that proves impossible. There’s also another problem he has: Lila. He has to find her before he gets caught.
Finding her isn’t easy but he gains headway. Only opposition is eminent. Cian must fight to get Finn out of custody and in a secure place.
Seems like they can breathe (a bit) once Finn is safe. However the FBI uses Finn’s untimely predicament of being under house arrest to force Cian to cooperate.
Like Finn, all the MacFarlane brothers want love, a family, and a real chance of happiness. But can they have that when their lives are tested? Can Cian find Lila before the FBI finds him?
Final thoughts:
I thought the book was an engaging, thrilling, edge-of-your-seat roller coaster ride I couldn’t put down. 5-stars all the way!
**I received this wonderful ARC in exchange for an honest voluntary review via Booksprout.**
Author Selena Laurence really knocked it out of the park with TOUCH OF DARK, the final book in her Dublin Devils series. Filled with themes of family, power, passion, betrayal, and plenty of intrigue, this is a book that had me on the edge of my seat.
TOUCH OF DARK is a great read for lovers of romantic suspense, heavy on the ‘suspense.’ Mafia reads don’t always work for me, but Selena had me from go, and I could not put this book down. Action packed from start to finish, this book does have moments both gritty and uncomfortable, but the end is so very worth it.
This is the third in a series, and it must be read in order to understand the way that things play out. So, my question is, what are you waiting for, because you will be all in with the entire series. Move TOUCH OF DARK and the other books in the series to the top of your TBR and enjoy.
