*Please note, this story is a rerelease from Ivy Chapman, now under D.E. Chapman. The story has not changed or altered, other than small editorial corrections.*They thought they were safe. They were wrong. Omegas no longer have rights. They’re considered property. Exploited for their heat and sold to the highest bidder. For twin omegas, Seraphine and Arden, discovery means suffering at the hands … and Arden, discovery means suffering at the hands of alphas. They assumed they were safe. They were unprepared for the horror that found them. Torn from their home, the twins are separated for the first time in their lives.
Can they survive the hell at their captors’ hands long enough to find one another?
**This reverse harem, omegaverse novel is not for the faint of heart. Torn Apart contains graphic sexual content and dark situations that may not be suitable for everyone. Trigger warning: this book contains total power exchange and scenes that might be upsetting for some. Some scenes feature m/m/f and f/m/m/m. Be advised, this is a #whychoose story as the main character ends up with more than one mate at the end of this book.

Talk about jumping right into the story. This one does and it takes you on the most intense and harrowing journey. Twins torn apart and living wildly different lives. Your heart can’t help but break over Sera’s treatment. Long journey ahead for these two twins so hopefully there is a sequel coming.

My first time reading this author and it won’t be my last! Wow, what a story. This is a very dark plot and there not one for the faint of heart. If you love raw dark short stories, then this is definitely your book. It’s perfect for easily reading in one sitting and left me wanting more – more about these characters and more from this author.

I found this story to be dark as the author said. It was hard to read at times. However it was also intriguing, mesmerizing and entertaining. The author portrayed the sense of drama and danger that permeated throughout the entire story. I liked the story.
It was definitely dark. The romance part was not really there. I kept reading because I was engrossed in the torture and wanted to know the outcome. There is forced situations and some situations that may caused tummy troubles.

Dark and grim, but with a thread of hope
When it says “dark omegaverse,” believe it. This was well written, graphic and violent, full of non-con, but with a hfn. I liked the way the story followed both the twins so we could see what was happening during their separation.
Not sure if there will be another book. This one was left in a place that could be the end, but I would hope for another volume. There is definitely more story to tell.
I received this as an ARC and chose to review it.
A delightful little number here. A new to me author and her stories certainly have me wanting more. Just on the edge of your seat, will the twins be reunited, the horrors that await them by Alphas are not for the faint of heart. Totally recommend if you are a fan of A/O

My first read from D.E. Chapman, but not my last. If you don’t like or appreciate dark, ugly reads, pass this one up. Sera and Arden are twin sister and brother and both taken captive. Sera’s story is brutal and your left hanging. Arden has a much better time, though pretty intense. This book is a short, fast paced, omegaverse novella, not warm and fuzzy at all.
I received a copy from Booksprout and this is my honest review.
This was an intense Omega/Alpha story.
Twin Omegas are trying to survive in a time where Omegas are sold and abused. And they endure so many atrocities.
Heed the warning doe this one.
Torn Apart is a novel by D.E. Chapman about two twins being separated. Seraphine and Arden both deal with their own trials while the hope they will ever reunite seems more like a fantasy with every passing day.
This book luckily comes with some trigger warnings to help readers decide whether or not they want to read it. The big one for me was rape as that is one of the few things that trigger me. But I decided that even with that warning I would continue reading.
The sex scenes tend to be of dubious consent (dubcon). This book is an Omegaverse which is a complicated thing to explain as the sub-genre can go a million different ways depending on what the author wants to do. But, to keep it simple, there is a dynamic of Alpha/Beta/Omega. This book has Alphas and Omegas part of breeding while Betas sort of just exist. A/B/O is based on the stereotypical ideas of a wolf pack.
So back to the majority of the sex scenes…Seraphine and Arden are both Omegas and go into heat. So at first their bodies drive them to have sex but then they end up bonding with the Alphas that had sex with them. If you consider this rape, or are also triggered by dubcon, you will need to pass up on this book.
Seraphine and Arden are both given dark paths to walk down. With Seraphine having the darkest storyline out of the pair. How she changes throughout the book is heartbreaking but in a really good way. I truly felt for her and felt frightened every moment she was tortured.
I would recommend Torn Apart to those that don’t mind their books getting more than a little dark.
Just when I think I’ve read it all and felt it all and didn’t think I can be surprised by anything new. I guess I am wrong. Or maybe, it’s just been a long dry spell and I just haven’t felt these feelings in a long while.
This book by Ms. Chapman got me feeling all over the places because you got two Omegas you are invested in having a HEA. But man…this author really puts them through the ringer, especially our girl, Seraphine. She definitely pulled the short straw instead of her twin brother, Arden. And this universe they are in, it doesn’t sound like one I want to be in regardless of what dynamic I am in. It seems that if you have no power at all, you’ll get the short end of the stick.
I’m looking forward to the next book. Hopefully, we’ll get to explore more about this universe and see our Omegas blossom.
OMG! OMG!
Oh my stars this story is an emotional roller coaster. It has a very dark theme about twins. There is a twist I have never seen in a book each twin ends up in different situations and places. Places they could have never imagine! If you are faint of heart please don’t read this book. I can’t wait for the continuation of Arden and Sera stories.
This is fucking dark. And trust me, I know from dark. And I definitely know from dark Omegaverse. Ivy Chapman has created an Omegaverse world that is dark, terrifying, and twisted.
Arden and Seraphine are twins. And they are both Omegas, which are very rare. In their country, they are barely considered people, because all Omegas are good for is breeding, and oh yeah, torturing. So they hide.
I like the title, because it describes the story in so many ways. It’s an intense title for a very intense story. There were times when I didn’t feel as if I could catch my breath because of what was happening, and how Sera and Arden were feeling.
I can’t wait to see where Ivy Chapman takes us next, because I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a serious ride, and not one that I want to avoid.
This is Omegaverse, if you don’t know what it is, please take the time to look it up before you judge this book. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it’s DEFINITELY Mine.

Received ARC from Author for Honest Review
I Give this Book a 4/5 Star Rating
Dark: 4/5
Romance: 3/5
Drama: 4.5/5
Suspense: 3/5
HEA(?): Not Completely. It’s a TBC, so expect a Cliffy!
BUT technically with how it ended, you could treat it as a stand-alone and technically could be an HEA.
No Spoilers.
Really enjoyed this book!
This is Dark, so non-dark readers Beware!
Its fairly fast paced, but it’s paced well.
Looking forward to see what happens next!!
Would I recommend! To dark omegaverse readers!
This probably won’t be the best starter to the omegaverse genre, if your new to it LOL
Ok so I like that there is a warning for this book, because it is DEFINITELY a dark romance. That being said. . . It was totally worth going into the dark to read! The twins are stronger than either one of them realize. You follow both their stories and find out what happens to both of them.
It isn’t a long read, but it also doesn’t skimp on story either. This is my first book by this author but I will definitely be reading more!
I love this story! The male/female twins is unique and the POV of each is so unique. I love the way this story is written with the contrast between one chapter and the next. Definitely a must-read!
