Taking her is my right.
Breaking her, my duty.
I was always going to choose Helena. I knew it the instant I saw her.
She’s different than the others. There’s a darkness about her. Something wild inside her. And it calls to the beast inside me.
But she isn’t what I expect. With every word and every touch, she pushes me, burrows deep under my skin, challenging the rules, upending history.
And … rules, upending history.
And all the while, I see how my brother watches her. He wants her, and as the rules stand, she’ll become his in one year’s time.
Except that I have no intention of giving her up.

OMG !! I mean WOW what an amazing read. I thought Taken was an off the chart dark read, but Torn completely blew me away. It was full of twists and turns that I never saw coming. Epic is a word I would use for this book. It’s characters Helena and Sebastian took me on a journey that filled my mind with so many different levels of emotions. It feed my need for the dark side of imagination and held me hostage, blocking out anything except the journey it was taking me on. Writing that put my mind in euphoria mode. So stunning that I was completely riveted to every single word. Filled with suspense, hate, danger and sick twisted traditions that were carried out through generations. A compelling story that kept me turning pages without any thought of stopping. I can’t say enough about how awesome this book is. It surpasses even the word stunning. If you are looking for a very dark read then do not pass this book up. It is the second book of the duet, so don’t forget to read Taken first. I promise you will not be disappointed in them. Natasha Knight is an amazing author that truly feeds your need for dark romance.
I was Stunned, Enraged, Abhorred, and absolutely Riveted by this story. It was a reminder that it’s possible to hate something as much as you love it. Those emotions were so entwined while I read, it was impossible to separate them. I still have trouble trying to identify how I feel and I’ve let this simmer for days, while trying to formulate a coherent review of this book.
Reading this was not easy. I was angry, appalled and utterly Torn but I couldn’t look away. I couldn’t stop reading, thinking…..ranting. Enjoy, is not a word I’d use to describe my experience but I can’t deny that this story consumed me, and not necessarily in a good way. What I wasn’t was bored or indifferent or uncaring. My inner feminist was screaming, and my inner warrior wanted to tear these men apart and knock some sense into Helena. I can’t make peace with this story or my emotions but I can recognize the talent of this author to evoke such deep seeded feeling and give me a story I will never forget. Kudos to you Natasha! This book will leave an indelible mark on my soul.
Obsession, manipulation, lust and power were driving forces for the men in the Scafoni family. A centuries old curse placed on the family led to abhorrent actions of generations of men…the taking of Willow women to use as they pleased, to exert their dominance, retain power and fulfill their lust. Defying the curse was believed to result in decline in the male births and the eventual annihilation of the Scafoni line. But is the curse real or just a justification used by generations of deviant and power hungry men?
In this duet we follow story of the current generation of Scafoni men, Sebastian, Gregory and Ethan, the selected Willow woman, Helena and their struggle to deal with the curse, fulfill family obligations and deal with the emotions and repercussions of their actions. It’s complicated doesn’t even begin to describe it.
Deceptively dark and delicious. What an amazing conclusion to this story. I devoured every word, not wanting it to end. This book was full of intense filled scenes and scenes so hot my kindle was foggy. By far one of my favorite reads this year!
I’m a little torn I give this book 3.5 stars………..
I did a buddy read with this book. It’s was funny how we all had different opinions about certain things in this book. But it was fun to have someone to hold your hand through a story like this. I was very torn (no pun intended) on how I felt about some of the events that happened in this book. I don’t want to mention them because they are spoilers. I did get some answers to questions that I had from the first book. But I felt like I still had questions at the end.
I wanted to love the characters but I found them weak. They had strong points at times. But they let others control them to much. I wanted to love Sebastian, Helena and even Gregory. But they crossed lines that I found unforgiveable.
I enjoyed the storyline. I just wish things would have played out differently.
Wow!!! For a story that when I started the first book Taken, that I thought I was not going to be into….I ABSOLUTELY fell in love with this duet. This for me was the best duet that I have read all year. I fell head over heels in love with Sebastian and Helena’s story. I loved his bossiness and that he always had to be in control. I loved her feistiness and how she went against the rules and wanted to put an end to the Willow/Scafoni dark legacy. Their story is dark, unpredictable, and unlike anything that I have ever read.
Now throw the brother Greg into the mix and I was at a crossroads with liking him just as much. The love that is not supposed to form between the three left my heartbroken for him. Although with that ending…I have my fingers crossed that Greg is going to get his own story. I hope that I am right because I want to see more of his story and I need to have those unanswered questions answered. This can’t be the end of Greg or the ending of Amy….I have to know have these two disappeared off together?????
Actually, I could use more of the Willow/Scafoni story including more of Helena and Sebastian. I am sad to see this end. This is a duet that I want to re-read again and again. Natasha never disappoints and she does a fantastic job writing and this is no different. She made me fall in love with this story and has me begging for more.
I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS!!
Happy Reading Everyone!!!
Hooray for Torn.
After reading Taken (Book 1) and being left hanging I needed to know what lay ahead for Sebastian & Helena. Would they find a way to break the Willow Girl curse? Will the evil Stepmother Lucinda create chaos or get what she had coming to her? Who will win in the end? I had so many questions and all of them were answered in Torn.
Torn picks up exactly were Taken ended. My heart went out to Sebastian & Helena. They had both suffered so much at the hands of those who were supposed to love them. Gregory gave me a tug or two as well, he could see the closeness growing between his brother and his Willow Girl, meaning he may never get the chance to experience it himself.
The feisty Helena is struggling with the feelings she has for her captor. He’s a man she’s supposed to hate but after the things they’ve done and time they’ve shared it’s becoming harder to do.
Sebastian has never loved anyone but the more he is around Helena the more she is getting under his skin and he’s kinda liking her being there. Will these 2 great characters get the ending they strive for or will the curse continue to stand in there way??
This story was so well written with twists and turns galore that I couldn’t put it down. I was captivated from the first word to the last. Torn was a great ending to this duet, BUT I have a sneaky feeling that we may see these characters again!!!
“I stole her out of her life and forced her into mine.”
Good Lord. I thought I was ready after reading the craziness and utter brilliance of Taken but I seriously was NOT prepared for Natasha Knight’s Torn. This author legit killed it as I am left gasping for breath and wanting more. I absolutely loved the conclusion to Sebastian and Helena’s story!! After that crazy ending in Taken, Helena is trying to take back her life and rewrite her path as a Willow Girl but she could never have prepared for the ride she and the Scafoni brothers are put through!!
This book can only systematically be categorized as INTENSE FIRE. No other words can describe it. Torn was absolutely amazing and I never wanted it to end. Without giving away any spoilers, just when you think the fast-paced adrenaline-filled ride was over…BOOM..this author just flat out knocks you on your back once again. I LOVED Torn as it was the perfect ending to Helena and Sebastian’s story. True to Natasha Knight’s writing style, Torn was deliciously dark, erotic and filled with high tension-emotional and sexy moments. Sebastian and Helena were everything and the second part to their story was the perfect conclusion as we see both of them come to terms with their relationship and their future as a Willow girl and a Scafoni boy and the legacies that destroyed their families for generations.
What can I say that I haven’t already said about this series and this author? This story was epic and brilliant and I devoured this sexy duet as fast as possible. Natasha Knight is truly one of the most gifted authors and I seriously can’t wait for more! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula
This Duet was perfection in every word and it will throw you into a book coma, Sebastian and Helena are intense and they face a lot of darkness together and are truly faced with ultimate tests of survival and challenges that will destroy and change the destiny that the Willow Girl and her captive has planned, and you throw in the brother and jealousy that’s sets its sights on destruction. I loved Helenas character she was so real and with real feelings and tried her best to accept the situation when wanting to do the right thing but other things take over, it was like they were made for each other torn on what was right and wrong and it consumes you and the title fits perfectly.
Second installment in the duet, Torn starts off where the maddening end of Taken left us. With Lucinda still the troll we knew her to be, the entroductory scenes plunge us right away into the darkeness .
But there was also such a sudifferent vibe to this book!!! It was really surprising and never would I have expected these turns of events. And in that matter, the title is pure perfection. TORN. That is exactly how the characters felt, and by extension, how I felt. Torn between what should be done and what is expected (I’m not telling you which is which, though). Torn between the rivalry and the jealousy of the brothers. And then Torn between Helena’s contradictory emotions.
“Life isn’t fair.”
I know I’m being vague but it would be disappointing to have the plot spoiled when it’s so neatly and thoroughly executed. The author played with the angst and the growing suspense all along. From the beginning of the series I was pretty sure I wouldn’t ever fall in love with Sebastian, least of all Greg, but eventually Natasha’s talent worked wonders and her anti-heroes eventually grew on me, until my heart broke for Greg, and pounded at the idea of Sebastian. Helena stayed strong and I’m glad the Scafoni didn’t tarnish her beautiful mind. I absolutely loved the way she adapted and her resilience. They ALL are incredibly interesting characters, multi layered and Torn by both families, the Willows and the Scafonis, the weight of their history and traditions.
“I’m angry at all of them. […] I can’t forgive them. Not yet. Maybe not ever.”
I hope that you ladies will take as much pleasure reading this gritty, sexy (hell, who am I kidding?) scorching hot and raw conclusion as I did! Enjoy!
This is the second half of the Dark Legacy Duet and cannot be read as a stand alone. It continues Helena and Sebastian’s story and picks up right where the first book left off.
This was twisty and dark and it travelled down a path I was not expecting. We get a lot of Gregory in this book. He is Sebastian’s brother and while I am terribly intrigued and fascinated by him (please Natasha Knight give him his own book!), I’m not entirely sure how I felt about his involvement here. I’m not going to talk much about the actual plot. The surprise and unknown is a big part of the enjoyment with this story. I will say that we do get a lovely ending and this book was extremely hot. I’m still working my way through some of the sections in the story and how Gregory got involved with Helena and Sebastian’s relationship. Natasha Knight does dark with a side of twisty well when it comes to mafia romance, so nothing should probably surprise me. This is author is one of the very select few I read in this genre and as always, I definitely recommend this duo.
After reading Taken, and with the way it ended, I just couldn’t wait to read Torn! This book is even better! I needed to know what happened to Helena and Sebastian and to his brothers, Gregory and Ethan. Not to mention the evil Lucinda! The story continues with explaining more about the Willow Girls and how it all came to be. Helena was determined to end the cycle, but she didn’t know how. She struggles with her feelings towards her captor, Sebastian. And he finds that he may have feelings for her as well. But they both know that cannot happen! Helena is a bit of a spitfire and will go to great lengths to find out more about her Aunt and the Willows and Scafonis. This book kept me captivated from beginning to end and I read it in one sitting! I truly loved this duet and would love if there was a continuation of the story. Who know?! Maybe there will be.
Wow!!!!! What an amazing duet. This is the second part that starts where Taken left off with a cliffhanger. This 5 star had me hooked so deep that I basically read it in one sitting.
This second half was amazingly hot. There were some scorching scenes that blew up like fireworks. A great conclusion to an amazingly dark story. I hope we get more from some of these amazing characters.
I loved the epilogues from Sebastian and Helena. I strongly recommend this duet and wish to get more. Hoping for Gregory’s story. Duet told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend reading it.
Torn by Natasha Knight is book Two in the Dark Legacy Duet. This continues the story of Sebastian and Helena, so you will need to have read the previous book ‘Taken’ to fully enjoy this one.
Sebastian and Helena are still dealing with the outcome of his choose in Helena. Sebastian understands the legacy guidelines that are suppose to take place but he doesn’t want it to come to that. Sebastian has strong feelings for Helena and his brother Gregory is lurking around them.
Helena is surprised of her feelings for Sebastian but can they get past the outcome that is set before them? Really enjoyed their story.
Helena knows she is the key to stopping the cycle of the Willow Girls – but first, she must find a way to survive the nightmare she has awoken to.
For Sebastian this began as a duty- something to be done to protect his family – he did not foresee loving his Willow Girl – he did not foresee the pain, the vulnerability that love would bestow upon him.
Two lost souls that call to one another – a sickness that burns brightly within both houses-
Love
Can Helena expose the secrets that have been buried beneath the guise of the “curse”?
Will she survive Lucinda?
Will Sebastian do what is necessary to set Helena free – even if it might destroy her?
Be prepared to have your heart shredded and slowly pieced together again
I gave this Book a rating of 5 ’s

>-< >–< >–< >–< >–<>–< >–< >–< >–< >–< >–< >–< >–< What I liked/Didn’t Like: *****Disclaimer Must read Book 1 in this duet first or nothing will make sense***** The storyline was well thought out and flowed from the first book smoothly to the second book. I loved the characters and the storyline in this one. The author gave each of the characters personalities tat made the book well worth reading. This one is dark and twisted and I loved it. May contain triggers for some people you have been warned.
Torn is book two of the Dark Legacy Duet and the conclusion of Sebastian Scafoni’s and Helena Willow’s story. You must first read Taken in order to know what is going on and who the characters are.
Torn picks up where Taken ended with that stressful cliffhanger ending. Sebastian surprises me in this story by allowing a couple of things to happen that I wasn’t anticipating. It’s obvious he genuinely cares about Helena and is protective of her in a way he wasn’t expecting. It’s also obvious Sebastian is struggling with what is expected of him due to the traditions and rules of the family. Helena appears to have matured and is much stronger to me in this installment. I felt as though she was more at Sebastian’s side rather than just the Willow Girl as before. I was completely shocked by the actions of one of the characters at the end because I had guessed something completely different was going to happen. That said, Helena’s and Sebastian’s story ends in a really good place and I loved their epilogues.
Although Sebastian’s brother Gregory plays a bigger part in this book, there is a lot more of him I want to learn about. The same goes for Helena’s sister Amy. I’m hoping that the two of them will each get their own book, or maybe, just maybe they’ll get a book together.
Torn was a fantastic finale to this dark and twisted duet.
I was kindly provided an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Torn takes us back to Lucinda and how the jealous, evil woman enacts revenge. Thankfully Sebastian is able to use his money to do some detective work and saves his Willow Girl from her talons. Although I’m not so sure that’s a true account. He sets her tasks, some that are going to be impossible to achieve. Gregory is very present in this book, so much so that I became quite fond of him and would like to see what his story is. Helena and Greg forge a newfound friendship at least that’s how she sees it. There was some more insight into the preceding Willow girls and Helena’s sister Amy! Who I might add made me feel thankful for strong women in this world who choose to stand up and be counted. The real question is can you trust a Scafoni if you are a Willow girl?
This story is full of twists and secrets unfolding. It’s a great story with a strong heroine and alpha hero with a dark side. I would recommend it.
Okay, and wow, that was……… that was scary amazing!!!!!! So much pain, so much change, so much sexiness, it was crazy good. Please, please, please tell there will be more story for a certain Scafoni brother????
Okay, so this book, it picks up where Taken ended, with Helena in the hands of the crazies. Bad things happen, then she is saved. So much plot line that happens, the many emotions, from all the characters, hard to explain without giving anything away. Just know, Torn is appropriate as a title. Torn from what you want and want you should. Torn from following the path you know you should follow and the path you want to go, and what if they are the same? Torn by who you love, and why you shouldn’t. Torn from family tradition and Torn from needing peace
Sebastian and Helena go through so much, together, separately, internally, externally, to come out the other side as new people, who are whole, and no longer torn apart. A fantastic conclusion to a fantastic duet!
Torn by Natasha Knight is the second book in the Dark Legacy Duet.
As provocative as it is engrossing, this book will have you on the edge of your seat.
Torn starts off where Taken left off. Helena must do everything in her power, now more than ever, to secure her happily ever after while finding a way to end the tradition for future Willow daughters.
Stirred into the mix however is Gregory, Sebastian’s brother. It now seems like both brothers will not let her go without a fight. Can anyone win in a game where everyone is destined to lose?
This was another fast paced and well written story. Although not as suspenseful as the first book, this author has without a doubt turned up the sensuality several notches.
It is not where I thought the book was heading but I was completely surprised and satiated with the end result.
I must say that I loved Sebastian and Gregory in equal measure and I am hoping that Gregory gets his story written in the near future, sigh!
Natasha Knight has written a seductive and page turning duet that will leave you begging for more!
I received an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
