Taking her is my right.
Breaking her, my duty.
I was always going to choose Helena. I knew it the instant I saw her.
She’s different than the others. There’s a darkness about her. Something wild inside her. And it calls to the beast inside me.
But she isn’t what I expect. With every word and every touch, she pushes me, burrows deep under my skin, challenging the rules, upending history.
And … rules, upending history.
And all the while, I see how my brother watches her. He wants her, and as the rules stand, she’ll become his in one year’s time.
Except that I have no intention of giving her up.

Torn (Dark Legacy Duet #2) takes place in this dark world that starts in Taken & continues in Torn where it takes control of your mind. Oodles of twists intricately weaved throughout the narrative. A web of truths and lies unraveling into a thrilling & suspenseful listen.
Narators Michael Pauley and MacKenzie Cartwright flawless performance brings mortal being into existence. Just the right dose of angst, passion, & voice. I love Michael’s deep baritone voice which brought out Sebastian’s fierce personality. MacKenzie brought out Helena’s defiant, resolute personality.
I hope Twisted (Spinoff of Dark Legacy Duet) which follows Gregory Scafoni & Amelia Willow will be turned into a audiobook.

Wow, what a conclusion to the ‘Dark Legacy Duet’. Natasha Knight takes you for a ride, a twisted ride down a curved, slippery slope, it will keep you on the edge of your seat and have your hair stand up on its end. What started out as a taking turns in to so much more as the Scafoni & Willow legacy plays out for this generation. If Helena gets her way it will be the last time it plays out, no more Willow girls will be sacrificed. But Helena she gets caught up in a Scafoni web, Sebastian wants her for himself but Gregory wants his turn too. With so many secrets and lies she does not know what or who to believe. We find out more about the secrets and lies in this book as the web and truths unravel. I really enjoyed this book, so much drama, twists, turns, thrilling suspense and lots of hot scenes. I hope this is not the last we hear of the Scafoni Family, I am curious about Gregory, where did he go, did he go off to get his very own Willow girl? I hope his book “Twisted” will recorded for Audible too. Natasha Knight, thanks again for this fantastic story!!
I listened to the Audible edition, narrated by the talented Michael Pauley and MacKenzie Cartwright, they continue to bring the characters and their story to life with their great performances. They brought so much to this story, heart, attitude, personality and emotions. They commanded the demand of the characters and storylines with ease Michael’s Sebastian was dominating and fierce. MacKenzie’s Helena was defiant and strong willed but she always had heart. Thank you for another great and entertaining listen

Willow girls are damaged and will rip apart the Scafoni men. Is this true? I had to find out what would happen in this second of the Dark Legacy Duet. Helena is the chosen Willow girl, and is finding her new normal living with Sebastian. As her feelings grow, and his protectiveness strong, it is inconceivable that she would have to be shared with the other two brothers. Is this the curse? Does it truly rip apart the families? Secrets are bared, relationships ripped apart and love grows strong. Natasha Knight brings light to the darkness, but not before it goes completely black! Her supporting cast of Lydia, Michael, and Amy all add depth to the story and just leave you wanting more even when this one ends! You have to listen to see what happens to Helena and Sebastian, Michael and Ethan. It will keep you captivated the entire time.
Continuing the narration, Michael Pauley and MacKenzie Cartwright are able to draw every emotion from you. There is more darkness in this installment, and each bring voices that will chill you to the bone and then in the next chapter warm your heart. It’s the perfect team bringing this dark story some brightness! I loved them together!

Wow!!! For a story that when I started the first book Taken, that I thought I was not going to be into….I ABSOLUTELY fell in love with this duet. This for me was the best duet that I have read all year. I fell head over heels in love with Sebastian and Helena’s story. I loved his bossiness and that he always had to be in control. I loved her feistiness and how she went against the rules and wanted to put an end to the Willow/Scafoni dark legacy. Their story is dark, unpredictable, and unlike anything that I have ever read.
Now throw the brother Greg into the mix and I was at a crossroads with liking him just as much. The love that is not supposed to form between the three left my heartbroken for him. Although with that ending…I have my fingers crossed that Greg is going to get his own story. I hope that I am right because I want to see more of his story and I need to have those unanswered questions answered. This can’t be the end of Greg or the ending of Amy….I have to know have these two disappeared off together?????
Actually, I could use more of the Willow/Scafoni story including more of Helena and Sebastian. I am sad to see this end. This is a duet that I want to re-read again and again. Natasha never disappoints and she does a fantastic job writing and this is no different. She made me fall in love with this story and has me begging for more.
I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS!!
Happy Reading Everyone!!!

The instant he saw you, I knew it. It was in his eyes. It was only ever you, Helena.
Review:
For such a dark romance, the Dark Legacy Duet was still very much a love story. Were elements of the story dark? Hell yes—but there was also just as much emotions building between Sebastian and Helena as one would expect in a the counterparts to this genre of romance. The duet is one that kept me reading late into the night and I truly couldn’t put down. I enjoyed seeing the glimpses of Sebastian’s soft side again even if it’s only in glimpses because he’s not had an easy life. Regardless of what wealth can buy, it did not afford him a loving mother or easy childhood. As Natasha Knight unraveled his character—and Helena’s for that matter—I came to appreciate those glimpses because if this was anything other then fiction, they likely wouldn’t exist. I loved the story arch and while I wish certain characters had received a harsher fate, I can appreciate the conclusion of this book and the openings it left for Gregory. I thought the sexy times were exceptionally seXXXy in this one, so be prepared to take a cold shower! Also, my heart literally broke at one point. Fiction or not, Natasha Knight did an excellent job of layering the emotions in this book as they build on one another. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next! Absolutely a five star read. Although I would advise you to plan to read them back to back or else you might be replacing your kindle… LOL.
Brutal love at its best. This story picks up where the last one left us with Helena, Sebastian choice of a Willow girl, in the clutches of these dysfunctional family of cruel crazies. Intense, dark, so disturbing but such a thrill ride of debauchery. As Helena stays strong while the treacherous Scarfoni brothers take their due. Sebastian and Helena’s story is certainly not the usual but it’s what you expect from this fabulous author. A darkly delicious romance with some mystery, intrigue and enthralling family dynamics on both sides. Great conclusion to a terrific duet. Can’t wait for the next story. Gregory please. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
After Taken ended with that cliffhanger, I was eager to get Torn asap!
Torn gave me answers to all the questions Taken left me with and unveiled secrets from the two families pasts. I believe that this book is more emotional and even more hotter than the previous one! There are some intimate scenes in it that are just fire!! The chemistry between Sebastian and Helena is off the charts and I was to see how their story ended!
I can’t wait to see if the next book is going to be Gregory’s
This story is full of twists and secrets unfolding. It’s a great story with a strong heroine and alpha hero with a dark side.
I was consumed and curious with the whole complexity of the emotions between Sebastian, Helena and Gregory. At some points it really confused me why their relationships took the turns that they did but overall I love the way that it turned out.
I hope there’s more because I really want Greg’s story.
So we start where we ended in Taken. We don’t know where Sebastian and Helena are and if Gregory is involved at all. We have more questions than answers but Natasha is quick to answer some of them.
This second book is not nearly as “dark” as the first one as Sebastian is finally able to admit his feelings for Helena. But his brother Gregory is still a big part of what needs to happen for all of them. So Helena and Sebastian need to play the game and figure a way out of the trouble they are in.
I will say I would love to know what happens to Gregory. A story on him would be freaking awesome since he kind of turns pretty dark there for a bit.
Torn by Natasha Knight – 10 stars
Sitting here and staring at the screen trying to figure out how to write the review for this book and honestly I am torn because there is SO much I want to say and yet I just want you to pick up the book and read it already.
Torn is book 2 in the Dark Legacy duet and should NOT be read before book 1 Taken.
Let me tell you that these books are on the “dark” side and may be considered as “unconventional” but if you have an open mind and are prepared to have your mind blown away by the amazing and phenomenal story line with magnificent writing than look no further, this is your lucky day.
The story picks off right where we were left with the cliffhanger in Taken and the pace is on the steady/fast side with no dull moment in sight.
From the first page to the very last THE END you will be glued to this book.
Completely impossible to put down and once you’re done you will still crave for more.
Let’s talk about the awesomeness that are Sebastian Scafoni and his feisty Helena
“Willow Girl” but also the mysterious brother Gregory Scafoni.
My poor Ipad almost overheated by their hot hot and I do mean HOT connection that was all over this book and trust me when I say panties are waste of time in this case.
I would definitely put this one right up with “The Hottest Books Ever” simply because it is.
The tension and urge to find “the way out” from the mess they all are in is so compelling and thrilling and have you turn those pages like they were on fire.
It was so well written and thought out it blew my mind away and now when I’m done it feels like I am missing a part of me.
I never wanted this book to end and will be re-reading the duet very shortly again.
I can’t say that I “loved” this book because the feeling is stronger than that.
Natasha Knight sure knows how to write her dark bad boys with strong heroines and that gets to me each and single time, but this duet is at the very top of her books for me.
If this was a movie it would be on a massive repeat for my taste.
I truly hope you give these books a shot because you need to experience the great quality of a book like this on your own.
The highest recommendations on my part.
TORN is a dark, complex, sexy, and off the charts HOT!! The second book in the duet, and if I thought the first one TAKEN, turned my heart and stomach this one did it twice as much.
This book, OMG, I couldn’t put down for a second.I was not prepared for the twists and turns in Helena and Sebastian’s way to finding their happiness. But I loved every page of it.
The way Natasha built Gregory into the story was so unexpected and so very hard to read at times. But I feel like it fit perfectly into the twisted family history. I did feel bad for Gregory because he seemed so lonely. I think he NEEDS his own story!!!!!
The secrets, the lies, the saga between the two families Willow and Scafoni, are finally shown the light and they come out of the darkness.
This was another intense and emotional ride from the first page to the last page. If you read Taken, than Torn is a must read!!!!
If you’ve already read Natasha’s books you know how she lead us to the right ending. The story is provocative and an incredibly well-written page turner. I was engrossed, fascinated, and boy was I surprised.
So it’s my pleaser to recommend the Dark Legacy Duet TAKEN and of course TORN.
Because if you love dark romance, a good story, I promise you’ll find that in this duet.
The stunning conclusion to an outstanding duet!
The journey of Helena and Sebastian continues in Torn with more twists and turns and more obstacles hindering their path.
Their chemistry is off the charts hot!
Everything in this book is intense!
The dynamics between the various characters, their relationship and roles in each other’s lives and the plot are so perfectly intertwined it makes for a compelling heart pounding read!
Sebastian had me drawn to him from the very start and my draw to him never faded.
Helena is my girl! So strong in spirit and mind. So feisty and determined. She’s incredible!
Oh and Gregory! My oh my Gregory!
I’m fascinated by him. To me he’s my dark horse in this book!
I hope there’s more of him to come.
Torn was the perfect conclusion to this riveting duet I wasn’t ready to see end. I would definitely recommend that you read Taken first as Torn picks up immediately where book one stopped. From the beginning Torn grabs you and takes you on quite the unexpected ride. I always enjoy when a book takes me by surprise and keeps me on my toes and Torn definitely did that! The twists and turns kept me captivated all while playing with my emotions and keeping me on the edge of my seat until the very end. What Sebastian and Helena have found in each other isn’t a conventional type of love yet for them it is absolutely perfect. Full of suspense, secrets, twists and turns, captivating characters, and enough heat to light a bonfire Torn is a pageturner you won’t want to put down!
Hmmm…I am not really sure what to say about this book. I loved the first one, but this one just went in a very bizarre direction. The whole Sebastian, Helena, Gregory triangle was odd and felt forced. Maybe had the book ended differently It would have made more sense, but with the book ending the way it did it just seemed a bit pointless, and completely out of character for Sebastian. It was also a bit disappointing that it takes 80% into the book before we get any forward movement on the baddies situation, and when we finally do, it was super anticlimactic.
So yea, I was a bit disappointed in the book. Maybe my expectations got the better of me after how much I enjoyed the first book…c’est la vie.
This book was so good! I really enjoyed the first book…I loved this one! Things got so messy and complicated between everyone! There was manipulation and deceit, hidden and repressed feelings, people lying to each other, and maybe even to themselves. Oh what a tangled web we weave….
I liked the way the story ended, but I’m desperately hoping we see more of Gregory. I really want to see him get his HEA! I can’t wait to see what Natasha Knight has lined up for us next!
Torn jumps right back into the twisted lives of the Scafoni and Willow. The back and forth banter can still be seen between Helena and Sebastian. Their relationship seemed to evolve more in Torn than Taken. Trust starts to develop between them when before there was none. I would highly recommend Torn, especially if the reader took the time and read Taken.
3.5 STARS!!
Torn is the conclusion to the Dark Legacy Duet!
Even thought this installment is steamy hot, and sizzle everywhere, is not really what I have expected.
Sebastian and Helena’s journey is not easy, and the one thing hard for me, is understanding how can someone claim loving you when at the time he’s passing you around to others, regardless if they’re bothers or not!!
Anyhow, I got feeling more connected to Sebastian and his brothers, especially Gregory than our heroina (Helena). I got mix-feelings so, I’ll probably wait to listen to the audiobook and see how the experience goes. Usually it does it better for me, and usually my rating goes up most of the time!!
I recommend that you give this duet a try, especially if you enjoy dark romantic taboo!
A great follow-up/finish up of Taken. Sebastian and Helena don’t disappoint!
I got total closure and was super surprised by the ending! Great writing!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
Torn is the second book in the Dark Legacy Duet from Natasha Knight you must read Taken before Torn or your going to be very lost.
And all the wile, I see how my brother watches her. He wants her, and as the rules stand, she’ll becomes his in one year’s time. Except that I have no intention of giving her up.
This book picks right up where Taken left off. This is the rest of Sebastian and Helena’s story. I have decided that these two were fated. That they are soulmates put on this earth to save each other. They just met under circumstances that were not their own but some crazy tradition that has one family pitted against another. You too going to get to know Gregory better in this book. I must say that this book turns up the heat and at times will leave you swooning. I swear I hope we get a book about Gregory!! I need to know his entire story. This is a duet that his equally dark and twisted and it is fated and angst driven. I loved this book and was sad to see it end. This duet is a must read for lovers of dark and gritty stories.
There was so much to love and to contemplate with this story. One saying I’m taking with me is “don’t confuse love with manipulation.” I think that saying plays a big part in both this story and life itself. The best part about reading this particular story, there were three of us that read it as a buddy read! Three people who took everything three different ways. Focused on three different things. It proves that you can read the same thing multiple times and take different things away each time. I for one absolutely loved Sebastian. Gregory is more of a mystery than ever and I hope we get more! And Ethan. I don’t know how I feel about him. I think Sebastian and Helena are perfect for each other!
