He’s my nemesis. My tormentor. A notorious criminal with a smoldering smile to mask the devil hidden beneath. Conniving. Threatening. Brutal. He stalks me from the shadows. Makes me itch to place him behind bars. But he has an offer I can’t refuse. A major risk with the perfect reward. I can’t let down my guard. Can’t be tempted to trust him. Not even when I begin to understand his corrupt … him.
Not even when I begin to understand his corrupt ways.
Because the only face the devil shows is the one he wants you to see.
And all I’m seeing is hunger.

Drug Lord Cole Torian and FBI Agent Anissa Fox are the ultimate rivals in the most perfect battle of wits, cunning and manipulation.
And yet, though their minds and morals may be locked in an epic showdown of biblical proportions, can they resist the pull of their intense chemistry?
This is one of the BEST enemies-to-lovers stories I think have ever read!!
Their goals are the same. Their enemy common. Both want to see Lucian Torian pay for his despicable crimes. The only problem? They need to overcome their mistrust and preconceptions to work together long enough to bring him down without tearing each other apart, and indeed before tearing one another clothes off first!
Cole Torian is my absolute kryptonite in an anti-hero.
The consummate bad boy who makes no apologies for who he is; brutal in his retribution to those who cross him as much as in his loyalty to those close to him.
Many would find his acts of criminality abhorrent, but I found it humanised him.
You need to view this man as a whole, and that whole contains a lot of good beneath the bad.
Anissa is his polar opposite in all ways, including my initial appreciation of her.
Yeah, I didn’t like her and a lot of that stems from Summers’ early depiction of her in her previous offerings.
Despite her good, she has already been portrayed with little to make her an endearing heroine, the staunch immovable and at times ruthless law officer who abjectly refuses to see Cole for anything other than a monster who deserves to rot in a jail cell, but again there’s more to this toughened crime fighter than meets the eye and her exterior is soon laid open, her vulnerabilites to be seen.
But it’s the stoush between these moral rivals that is so superbly written; seeing these two cross their own boundaries, that makes their eventual explosive connection not only believable, but necessary for their success and my romantic heart’s sanity!!
All the while the suspense and games play out between and around them as they battle to bring down the real monster, Cole’s despicable father Lucian Torian.
This is a nail biting exceptional enemies to lovers, suspense filled masterpiece and so worthy of Cole Torian the ultimate delicious “Big Bad Wolf”!!
Although Torian was one of my most anticipated reads this year, it took me a while to get stuck in to the story itself. But once I did, the rest of the world just fell away and I couldn’t put the book down. I absolutely loved it. I loved how it continued right from the previous book, Decker, I really enjoyed getting Torian’s POV at the funeral.
Seeing Torian pop up in Hunter and Decker, I knew I’d love his character, no questions asked, right from page one when his story came out. He had a bit of everything in his persona and I absolutely loved all sides of him including his a-hole and intimidating sides.
I loved the interactions between Anissa and Torian. They were so opposite from each other that I thought they were perfect together. I loved how they kept trying each other’s patience, and trying hard not to crack. I loved the stubborn determination they both had within them which made them not give up. I loved their mind games and the way they kept taunting each other, including all the reactions they gave away. Anissa was such a kick-a** character too that made this book all the more enjoyable.
I am dying to get more of Torian and Anissa especially after that ending.
4.5 stars
This is the third book in the Series. You can read it as a standalone, but believe me, you don’t want to miss the entire Series. This is a great Romantic Suspense and enemies to lovers. I love Eden Summers’s writing. Cole and Anissa’s story is breathtaking, fast-paced, twisted, and suspenseful. I love these two extremely opposite characters: Anissa, an FBI agent and Cole, the head of the Torian Family. They share a slow burn, but strong and sizzling chemistry. Now, I want more about them, and I can’t wait for the next book in this amazing and captivating Series. I enjoyed my reading.
Intriguing heartfelt story of opposites attracting full of twists and turns.
I enjoyed the flow of the story as well as the push and pull and tug of war the main characters engaged in.
Good vs bad…hmmm! I liked how the characters interacted and I enjoyed reading how their chemistry unfolded.
The ending…well… I need more!!
I received a coy of this book from the publisher/author to review.

This is the story of Annisa Fox who is an FBI agent who believes that the world is black and white. Cole Torian is the son of one of the largest mafia families in the country. This carries on from the end where Decker left off. These two should never work as a couple. They are both on complete opposites of the law and seem to be polar opposites. This is a story of good vs evil. The Devil on ones shoulder and the Angel on the other. This is a good story and I enjoyed it. It is very well written and I can’t wait to see what Eden Summers gives us next.
After getting glimpses and impressions of Cole in Hunter and Decker’s stories I became really curious about him. His character seemed controversial to say at least.
Cole was a little bit harder to like but I can say the same for Anissa. The mind games they played with each other had my head spin and was a bit much for my little heart.
Even after they quit fighting whatever was happening between them they still remained on the opposite sides of the law, still thinking the other is toxic for them and that conflict is something I can’t wait to see to be solved in the future after the HFN ending of this book.
With so much layer and conflict and having Cole and Anissa on the opposite end of the same spectrum it wouldn’t have done them justice to have a perfectly neat ending tied with a bow.
There’s so much to their story still and hopefully I’ll se it soon.
WOW!!! What a fast paced thrill ride. This story starts with a bang and does not let up the entire story! This mafia romance delivers a punch with suspense, action, steamy passion and unbelievable twists. In reading “Hunter” and “Decker” I could not wait to read “Torian” and get Cole’s story. I am not disappointed in the least. This story definitely delivers. I could not have picked a better match for him than Nissa. The mafia drug lord and a FBI agent both trying to take down the EVIL Luther. A definite “match made in heaven”! Although you don’t have to read the three stories in order I would highly recommend it. They are all fantastic stories and definitely worth reading. Eden Summers definitely hit it out of the ball park with this story!! I look forward to reading more from this vary talented writer.
What a great story. Cole Torin, head of a mob and Anissa Fox a female FBI agent that struggles for her place at work took me on such a roller coaster of emotions. This was one of the best books I have read where the characters had such a hate/love relationship. I loved all the sexual tension between the two of them. And slowly how both their feelings change towards one another. This book had lots of surprises I definitely didn’t see coming which made it so much better. Sometimes reading so much romance books you can see the storyline from the first chapter but definitely not with this book. Even my jaw dropped and I practically yelled at the last page. I highly recommend reading this book.
Wow – Torian’s story was enemies to lovers – just amazing! The twists and turns in this book had me guessing throughout. At first I wasn’t sure about liking these two. Torian is hard to have feelings for, while Anissa I couldn’t warm up to. They are so different from each other and really can’t stand each other, but somehow Eden makes it work into an amazing story that should not be missed!!! You get it all romance, suspense, and lots of action. This is one series that just keeps getting better!!!
Eden has done it again! Absolutely love every one of her books and I love how her series are connected so you can truly invest in her characters. Torian did NOT disappoint. I love Cole and Niss and that the ending leaves you begging for more. Refreshing to not have such a cliche ending.
Eden Summers knows how to create beyond the average alpha male. Torian definitely fits the bill for ultimate alpha male. Although TORIAN, the novel, might not be one of my top Eden written favs, Torian, the man, he is the epitome of my perfect alpha.
Unlike any other Eden Summers novel I’ve read before, I wasn’t immediately taken in by the story. It took a few chapters to grab me but grab me, it did!! Great read and so excited to see what’s next in this underground world of dangerous, but oh so hot, alpha men.
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Cole Torian is holding in a lot of hurt and anger. Anissa Fox just wants to see justice served. As these two dance around each other, you can feel the tension and the electricity that surround them. You will also see her trying to fight an addiction. It’s not a person, well not directly, and not to drugs. Hers seems to be her job and I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing.
I really enjoyed all the cat and mouse play that went on while Anissa tries to solve something that she can’t let go. Cole seems to take a back seat in order to let her shine but you can see him tug on that invisible leash every once in a while. I almost expected to hear a tango or even some Latin music during some of their scenes.
This author may have created a dark story but this has to be my favorite so far. It has some meat that I can really sink my teeth into. It’s a story of the testing of wills. Once you see that the test has started you’re not going to stop until the dust has settled.
If you’ve followed this author at all you’ll know who Hunter and Decker are. What was nice was you will get to catch up because they make an appearance – that was very nice of Ms. Summers to do. If you’ve not read much of this author’s work you may want to start with their stories first. It’s been a while since I read their books so even for me I may go back and read these three books again. The ending also left me curious. What’s up with Luca and do I smell the next book and maybe even the one after that?
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
This is a fast paced dark addictive read. Torian was raised to rule with an iron fist. His father groomed him from a very young age to show no weakness. Something he has lived by until Anissa. This story is filled with family obligation, betrayal, revenge, and a struggle between good and evil. This is another 5 star must read by Eden Summers.
This book is an enemies-to-lovers romance of epic proportions. The back story is that she’s an FBI agent and he’s a drug baron. I wondered how the author would draw these two together in a believable way and Oh. My. Lord. She delivered!
Anissa Fox is an FBI special agent, trying to bring the Torian family to justice. Cole Torian is the drug king of Portland, trying to end his fathers reign as a sex trafficker. Apparently that is a step too far, even for Torian Jr.
The way that the author draws Anissa into Torian‘s web, muddying the waters until you understand why she’s drawn to him is spellbinding. She makes the black and white seem so many shades of grey and even makes the seemingly unlovable Cole Torian endearing.
I thought that this would be the final book, following on from Hunter and Decker, but the story is left with a way into another book, which I am very excited about. I’m not ready to leave the seedy side of Portland just yet. This series gets better with every book although it will take something special to beat Torian.
An incredibly intense story. Anissa has worked hard for her position with the FBI but yet, her co-workers always have an air of suspicion because of her father’s actions. Arresting Luther Torian is a huge accomplishment but it puts his son, Cole Torian, directly in her orbit. There is something about him that captivates her but everything he believes in is complete opposition to her beliefs. Cole Torian can’t get the agent that arrested his father out of his head. He has to learn everything he can about Anissa which is very distracting. When his father breaks out of custody, he finds he needs to do what he started and stop his father’s sex trafficking business. To do this, he decides that Anissa should be part of the process. They end up in Greece and these two amazing opponents find themselves needing each other to solve this latest problem. Can they get past all their mind-manipulating, game playing for the great good? Will they give in to the intense chemistry that sparked the moment they met? I never knew what to expect from these two, they are both great at what they do and kept me on my toes while they pushed each other’s buttons. Such an incredibly sexy and consuming ride.
REVIEW: 4.25 stars—TORIAN is the third instalment in Eden Summer’s contemporary, adult HUNTING HER romantic, mafia style, suspense series. This is Cole Torian, and FBI agent Anissa Fox’s story line.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Cole and Anissa) TORIAN focuses on the take down of crime-lord Luther Torian. Following the arrest and subsequent escape of Luther Torian, Special Agent Anissa Fox finds herself drugged and a virtual prisoner of Luther’s son Cole Torian. Arriving in Greece, Anissa has no means of escape but soon discovers Cole’s plans behind Anissa’s abduction, plans that point at Luther’s demise. What ensues is the acrimonious and tempestuous relationship between Cole and Anissa, and the fall-out as Anissa becomes a pawn in a game between father and son.
Cole Torian despises his father and uncle for their control of sexual slavery, drugs and human trafficking. Hoping to put an end to his father’s control, and his uncle’s legacy, Cole sets into motion a plan to take down the monster he once called father. Anissa Fox struggles with her place within the FBI. Her father’s dirty history has tainted our story line heroine, a taint that will continue when she begins to fall for Cole Torian.
The relationship between Cole and Nissa is an enemies to frenemies back to enemies relationship that struggles with issues of trust, secrets, lies and betrayal. Cole and Nissa battle their attraction to one another, attraction that leads to sexual involvement but romance and a happily ever after may not in their future.
We are re-introduced to Hunter and Sarah, Decker and Keira, as well as Cole’s half-brother Tobias, their father Luther Torian, his sexual slave Penny, as well as a number of hitmen, security guards and Cole’s friend, ex-Navy SEAL Luca.
TORIAN is a heart breaking story of family, blood, betrayal and vengeance. The premise is dark and gritty; the characters are colorful but broken and wounded. TORIAN ends on a cliff-hanger, and I hope there is a happily ever after in their future.
Torian…what can I say? He’s a dark enigma, filled with family values and manipulation games.
Every time Anissa did something out of character or continued to push her way forward…I needed to put the book down and take a break. I just couldn’t… I just couldn’t understand her..
In the beginning I loved her for her badassnes and her big balls..but through out the story…I couldn’t connect with her. Until, she connected with Cole!
“…she’s the good and I’m the bad. She’s the light to my dark.”
Beautifully written, filled with twists and turns I didn’t see coming. Cole’s manipulation and mind games is strong AF!! And that ending??? Come on!!!
This is a fast-paced romantic suspense that will keep you on your toes! Just think about it – an opposites-attract, romance between a crime lord and FBI agent hell bent on putting him in jail – what is not to like? My curiosity about Cole Torian was first sparked when I read Hunter’s and Decker’s stories and I am thrilled that this crime lord got his own book. Cole is the type of mafia anti-hero that I love – he is highly intelligent, sexy, calculating, and yet is fiercely protective towards those that he loves. I liked him right from he start. The heroine, Anissa Fox, I had trouble connecting with in the beginning. She is a well developed character and I liked her tenacity, but I struggled to warm up to her until about halfway through the book. This book is full of intrigue, action, and twists and turns. Just when I would think I knew what was coming, the author would throw me for a loop. I do believe that Torian could be read as a standalone, but I would highly recommend reading Hunter and Decker first as there is an interweaving storyline and some character overlap. If you like a good opposites attract romance or a romantic suspense, then you will enjoy this book.
Holy Hell! What a ride & it’s not even over yet! These characters & books are unbelievable.
I mean, my reviews of Eden’s books are really a broken record at this point. AMAZING. This whole series is AMAZING.
The steam factor is off the charts between Anissa and Cole; they seem to have a connection early on, and their slow-burn just builds from there.
Add in a few twists and some serious drama and, my goodness, this book is just all-around spectacular!
