#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Don’t miss Janet Evanovich’s short story “Pros and Cons” in the back of the book.Catch a professional assassin: top priority. Find a failure-to-appear and collect big bucks: top score. How she’ll pull it all off: top secret. Trenton, New Jersey’s favorite used-car dealer, Jimmy Poletti, was caught selling a lot more than used cars out of his dealerships. Now he’s … used cars out of his dealerships. Now he’s out on bail and has missed his date in court, and bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is looking to bring him in. Leads are quickly turning into dead ends, and all too frequently into dead bodies. Even Joe Morelli, the city’s hottest cop, is struggling to find a clue to the suspected killer’s whereabouts. These are desperate times, and they call for desperate measures. So Stephanie is going to have to do something she really doesn’t want to do: protect former hospital security guard and general pain in her behind Randy Briggs. Briggs was picking up quick cash as Poletti’s bookkeeper and knows all his boss’s dirty secrets. Now Briggs is next on Poletti’s list of people to put six feet under.
To top things off, Ranger—resident security expert and Stephanie’s greatest temptation—has been the target of an assassination plot. He’s dodged the bullet this time, but if Ranger wants to survive the next attempt on his life, he’ll have to enlist Stephanie’s help and reveal a bit more of his mysterious past.
Death threats, highly trained assassins, highly untrained assassins, and Stark Street being overrun by a pack of feral Chihuahuas are all in a day’s work for Stephanie Plum. The real challenge is dealing with her Grandma Mazur’s wild bucket list. A boob job and getting revenge on Joe Morelli’s Grandma Bella can barely hold a candle to what’s number one on the list—but that’s top secret.
Praise for Top Secret Twenty-One
“The combination of biting dialogue, outrageous characters and intense story lines are consistent throughout. And [Janet Evanovich] novels are the true definition of a guilty pleasure.”—Associated Press
“Evanovich doesn’t disappoint. . . . [She] weaves setting, family, romance and crime to pull the plot of Top Secret Twenty-One forward.”—Bookreporter

Fun, relaxing, entertaining
You can’t go wrong reading the Stephanie Plum novels by Janet Evanovich. Each one is always an action packed story with Stephanie trying to help solve a murder. She has a crazy family, a crazy set of boyfriends, and a crazy set of co-workers. Stephanie is a bounty agency and many of her “captures” go awry as she is trying to prove herself as the ultimate professional. You can get a lot of laughs out of these books. I recommend them ALL to readers.
Stephanie Plum, a bounty hunter, is a street smart Jersey girl and must go undercover to help save Ranger from an assassin – all while trying to locate her latest skip. This book is witty, unpredictable and action-packed. Janet Evanovich creates the most entertaining plots. The narrator, Lorelei King, is fabulous! She is the absolute best at creating entertaining voices. You have no trouble differentiating between characters.
Classic Stephanie Plum!
Standard Stephanie Plum story. Amusing.
Like all Evanovich novels you are entertained.
I use to anxiously await new releases in this series. These stories are getting to tiring and nothing seems to move in them. Stuck in the same old story line with no advancement in character growth.
Same old same old….
always a good read, but after 21 of them, fun and still love the characters, but just not as fun as the first ones.
so i was already a fan of this series!! and it just keeps on with the fabulous and hilarious characters and stories.
I love her earlier books in the series better
Horrible book hard to get through!
If you are a fan of Stephanie Plum and friends you will love this next chapter in their lives.
all her novels
I love the entire Stephanie Plum Series. It’s a great easy read!
Have been addicted to Stephanie Plum from the first page. The cycle of events in each book has gotten dry for me. For example: her car always gets blown up or set on fire, she always ends up with one of her “skips” staying with her or taking care of them or their animals, there’s a funeral with Grandma Mazur causing a scene, lula shoots at someone, Hoe is jealous of Ranger, Ranger uses her for whatever lol. Even the stint with Diesel hasn’t saved it for me. Ok I’m done. I’ll still read them just because but really wish something different would happen.
