A rakish lord and a lady with a vendetta….Lady Caroline knows all about rakes. One ruined her after all. Allow a rake to kiss you once under a flowering pear tree, shame on him. But allow another to kiss you beneath a full moon of the summer solstice, well, shame on herself. She’s not falling for that sort of trick no matter how handsome Lord Marksman is or how alluring his strong arms or how … or how tempting his achingly wicked lips are. Caroline’s learned a few lessons. In fact, she’s even recorded them in a chronicle to teach the ladies of London how to avoid these very traps. But she can’t leave until she’s taught Marksman a lesson. A very good one on how a gentleman ought to treat a lady…
Lord Pierce Marksman isn’t certain why he finds Lady Caroline so tempting. Yes, she’s blessed with waves of thick blonde hair, lush pink lips, the sort that make a man ache. But he’s met beautiful women before. And of course, her curves are lush and sweet, the kind that could keep a man warm for days. But he’s seen better. Hasn’t he? The problem is he can’t bloody remember. That’s a damn shame because he needs to find a rich wife with a sterling reputation to bolster his family name after his brother destroyed their’s. And that’s not Lady Caroline…
The more their path’s cross the harder it is to deny that he wants her. Maybe needs her. And when Caroline’s in trouble he has a decision to make. Does Pierce save himself or her?

Too Wicked To Wed – A Regency Romance by Tammy Andresen – Chronicles of a Bluestocking.
This is the last volume of the Chronicles of a Bluestocking. The couple this story is about are Lord Pierce Marksman and Lady Caroline. Both of them suffering from self-doubt and little self confidence. Pierce has been spending a lot of time trying to clear up debts that his late brother (the former Earl) left behind upon his death. He wasn’t having much luck until he was able to go in on a shipping business with both Lord Dryden and Lord Harding. He was making headway and life was looking better for him. Except for his mother! His mother wanted him to marry a rich girl with a title and a good name to help bring them up in Society again, Pierce didn’t want to marry anyone on his mother’s list. In fact if he had to marry he wanted it to be someone of his own choice. Maybe someone who loved him, it was getting obvious that for some reason his mother didn’t love him at all.
Enter Lady Caroline, sweet, good natured, stunningly beautiful and reviled by the ton. When she was younger she had allowed Lord Parks to kiss her. They were caught and Caroline was ruined. The ton is not very forgiving. Caroline is the last lady who has to writ her story in the Book of Rakes. Only she wasn’t having a lot of luck with that, she wasn’t invited to a lot of parties and she was suffering greatly with her own self doubts and thinking she had failed her parents memory. One night she meets Pierce, he kisses her and opps, here is the Rake she can write her story about. Only problem over the next while, Pierce and she begin to develop somewhat of a friendship and even a tendre for one another.
Pierce is falling in love with Caroline and wants to court her, Caroline who is really her own worst enemy now wants only the best for Pierce and she doesn’t not think she is the best.
Prior to Caroline and her aunt arriving at Pierce’s townhouse for dinner he has an argument with his “mother”…… she blurts out something and promptly faints! It is right after this event, when Pierce is carrying his “mother” who is still out of it, that one of the best lines of this book appears….there is Pierce thinking a number of thoughts when this one pops into his mind..from Chapter 15 “It crossed his mind to submerge her in water” I broke out laughing and thought, damn straight Pierce…go for it!
Overnight Caroline has realized she loves Pierce and writes him a note, just as she was going to send it off to him, she receives another note, Lord Parks is out with another debutante and Caroline can’t let him get away with ruining another young lady, so she sends Pierce both notes, hoping he will catch up with her as she races to rescue another young lady.
I will leave the ending for you to read, but it is nice to see that all 4 young ladies have their happily ever afters.
I enjoyed this entire series. I think I liked number two the best. Highly recommend.
Caroline is a ruined woman and Pierce, the former “spare” of his family, is an earl who is trying to clean up the mess his older brother made of his family name. The two of them are enamored with each other, but Caroline doesn’t feel worthy and Pierce worries that he needs to make a match that will boost his standing in society. A little help from their friends is needed to make them see what they’re missing amidst all their worrying. A lovely end to this series!
I received a free copy from the author. My review is voluntary.
Another great installment of the Chronicles of a Bluestocking series, and this time out we have Pierce and Caroline’s story and I think this is my favorite of this series so far. A great second chance romance and who doesn’t root for an underdog? I will admit I wanted to shake some sense into Caroline a couple times, but Pierce was a loyal and fierce friend and suitor, who never wavered. The one issue, and I’ve been seeing this too often for historical romances lately, is that the cover doesn’t match the characters at all. It really does bother me that the attention wasn’t paid to the book at all, although it’s a lovely cover. But it didn’t diminish the great story inside. Don’t let the page count on Amazon fool you, it’s 161 pages, not 21 as it’s marked.
Too Wicked to Wed is the fourth and final book in the Chronicles of a Bluestocking. These books have been so fun to read. Four friends that have been labeled as “ruined” by society decide to write a book detailing the way for new debutantes to recognize and avoid ruin from rakes They are smart, independent, sassy and determined to help other women. Little did they know they would fall for the rakes they decide to study!
Lady Caroline Bixby was the last of the women to write her story in the book. She had been ruined when she had been found in a garden kissing a gentleman. She never revealed who the gentleman was because she thought he would come forward and offer for her. Now she was resigned to spinsterhood, but she was determined to find a rake to study and include her observations in the book. She was sure Pierce was a rake, but she couldn’t use him for her research because he made her feel out of control.
Pierce, the Earl of Marksman, had inherited the financially ruined title from his older brother. His brother had also ruined the reputation of the family name. His parents had always worshiped his older brother while finding Pierce not worthy. His mother loved to make him miserable and the newest way was to insist he marry and provide him with a list of women who he didn’t think he could even come to like. He needed to marry a woman with a good reputation and wealth to make connections in order to make progress in his finances.
Caroline and Pierce make a bargain where Caroline will help Pierce find a wife and he will keep her safe while she is gathering information for her research. Pierce tried to resist the feelings he had for Caroline because she didn’t have a good reputation, but he couldn’t deny the jealousy he felt. They both thought they were not worthy of the other. Will the two realize their own self worth and get their happy ever after?
The book can be read as a stand-alone but reading the previous books you see the struggles the side characters went through to get their happy ever after. This author has become one of my favorites and I loved this series. I’m said to see it end but can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us next!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I was excited to read this third in the Chronicles of a Bluestocking Book. Now is it Lady Caroline Bixby to enter her thoughts into the book of “Taming a Rogue”. She and her friends had decided to compile a guide for ladies when they met men of ill repute and how to keep from being ruined by them.
She had her own experience to add to the pages, how she’d been found kissing a rogue and when the word got out he did not come to her aid.
Lord Pierce Marksman was being pushed by his mother to marry. It needed to be a lady with money due to his elder brother’s misuse of money. Unfortunately he had passed away and the title went to him. To say his mother had never favored him was mild. But he had to do his duty. When he saw Lady Caroline, he was attracted to her, but unfortunately she was ruined and would not do to fill the role.
A wonderful story of two wounded souls who are attracted to each other, but circumstances seem to stand in their way.. Take the journey and see what happens. Loved it!
She was determined to teach Lord Pierce Marksman a lesson on how to treat a lady. What Lady Caroline hadn’t planned on was falling for Pierce, a man who was everything she should steer clear of. Hadn’t she learned her lesson? Wasn’t she even chronicling her experiences to save other young ladies of London?
Pierce was a man looking for a wife to bolster his family’s social standing and pad the empty coffers, neither of which Caroline could do, what with her fall from grace. Yet, he couldn’t remember wanting someone as much as he wanted her.
Tammy Andresen’s TOO WICKED TO WED is another of her guaranteed to entertain historical romances with just enough wicked heat and turmoil to keep those pages turning and an ending that could make Cupid smile.
Quick, filled with humor and heart, a woman ahead of her time and a man who didn’t’ stand a chance against her. A wonderfully delightful escape!
I received a complimentary ARC edition from Tammy Andersen! This is my honest and voluntary review.

The more their path’s cross the harder it is to deny that he wants her. She also wants him but with her lack of reputation she’s not countess material.
Caroline is the last of the four friends to have her HEA & once again it’s a lovely read with humour but also some heartache. The characters have plenty of depth & the pace is very good. I loved both Pierce & Caroline who had both suffered & each thought themselves unworthy. Pierce is hardworking loyal & determined to retrieve his earldoms reputation, which his brother threw away. Caroline made the mistake of being caught being kissed by a rake & her reputation has never recovered. Neither can deny their attraction but with others intent on thwarting their budding romance can they find their happy ending
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

My review :
When a young lady who has set her cap on showing the world how the rakes can ruin a woman must decide what is worth …
I love Mrs Tammy Andresen and this series following the Earl Dryden book was awesome.
While both characters are very lovable, I needed a bit more than usual time to appreciate them.
I loved first Pierce, despite everything he suffered under his kin’s eyes, he is willing to give back his family’s name its standing, even if it means sacrificing his own happiness.
Then as he is also the first to grab where his feelings lie and not doubting them he goes to win his lady, he becomes even more lovable in my eyes.
Caroline is a sweet lady but she spent too much of the story chastening herself for her own mishap. She has a good man ready to love her but she steps back constantly.
I can understand winning her trust is not easy, she was betrayed and paid the price. But she has friends all around her to show her her true worthiness, so why question his every gesture.
Then story became even more intriguing and interesting once Pierce decides to court her and when unexpected secrets are revealed.
A lovely conclusion to an entertaining series.
4.5 stars
I was granted an advance copy by the author, but I also preordered my own.

Too Wicked To Wed is another amazing historical romance by Tammy Andresen. Ms. Andresen has once again provided readers with a well-written book. The characters are fantastic. Caroline is the last of her group of friend that is still single and she’s determined to finish their book on rakes. Pierce is an Earl in search of a wife. Caroline and Pierce’s story is packed with drama, humor, spice, action and suspense. I was glued to this book from start to finish and can’t wait to read my next book by Tammy Andresen. Too Wicked To Wed is book 3 of the Chronicles of a Bluestocking Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
In a society where just being unchaperoned in the presence of a man could ruin a woman’s reputation, Lady Caroline is damaged by a rakish lord and a malevolent lady who wanted to harm her. Years later, having come to the conclusion that she would never marry, Caroline and her friends decide to make it their mission to protect other young women to the best of their ability. Not everyone is excited about their mission, but with all of Caroline’s friends having found good marriages, it is up to Caroline to complete the mission. Lord Pierce has been attracted to Caroline for some time, but knowing he needs connections, she is not the one to do it for him, as her reputation is almost as tarnished as his own. Two people with so much heartache caused by other people, nevertheless find themselves been thrown together resulting in an attraction neither anticipated. This novel has a good dose of humour, but it is also painful. The best part is realising that despite the circumstances there are still ways to get around most problems. The story brings healing and redemption and a happy conclusion to Caroline and Pierce. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
