Gabriel “Gabe” Lewis retired from the NFL and returned home to Cherry Springs. He combined his passion for football with camping and is now the owner of a football camp for teens. His summers are dedicated to spending time with family and teaching his campers about the sport he loves. Zoey Zahn is a quirky, introverted writer and self-proclaimed geek. When she’s asked if she’ll accompany her … accompany her nephew, Christopher, to camp, Zoey agrees, envisioning quiet evenings of writing in the great outdoors. After she stumbles upon Gabe, however, quiet evenings alone are the last thing on her mind.
The chemistry between Gabe and Zoey is undeniable, but as camp ends, a brewing storm causes their blooming relationship to fumble. All Gabe knows is that Zoey is Too Tempting to deny, and he’s determined to overcome the obstacles between them to be the man she deserves.
Too Tempting is the first in an all-new small town romance series by Bethany Lopez. Follow the Lewis cousins of Cherry Springs, the kind of place where there are festivals for every occasion and everyone knows your business, as they learn about love and loss.

First time reader of Bethany Lopez – can’t wait to read more – really enjoyed the realistic dialogue and close knit family dynamics.
Too Tempting was an enjoyable read. Steamy romance with likable characters. Look forward to the next book in this series.
I have read many in this series, appreciating each one for their different ideas of the same romantic theme.
Weird twists and impulsive behavior at a football camp.
I was drawn into the books story line of characters right away. I am already starting on the next set up books. I immediately went to audible.com to see if I could listen to the books while on the drives I have planned for the holidays coming up.
There are spoilers in this review.
I loved this book until I hit the twist of the storyline, it just didn’t do a thing for me. This is a well written contemporary romance and I did enjoy this book overall.
Gabe Lewis is an ex NFL player who returns to his home town to run a camp for kids, something he feels passionate about. Zoey Zahn is a famous author who chaperones her nephew Christopher to the camp on her sister’s behalf.
Zoey gets the dates of the camp wrong and shows up a week early. Rather than turn her away, Gabe and his cousins invite her to stay at the camp with them. Obviously a relationship begins between the two. I loved them as a couple, and was enjoying how their relationship was progressing, until the twist appeared. I was hoping for more towards the end of the book after the twist was taken care of , but the book just ended.
Spoiler starts here: After Chloe (Zoey’s sister and Christopher’s mom) announces that Gabe is the father of Chris after a one night stand; the book took a drive for me. Zoey is pissed at Chloe for keeping this secret – and rightfully so. She doesn’t know what to think or do, so she leaves to gain some perspective. Gabe’s reaction is what gets me. After hearing this news he doesn’t even get pissed off. He was always concerned that some women would try and trap him into marriage with whatever means necessary and here Chloe drops this bomb? How can he even remember Chloe if it was a drunk fest bang in a bathroom 12 years ago? And then invite her to every family event…. How awkward for everyone? I am glad that he stepped up to the plate after paternity was determined, but the whole bonding with both sisters…nope, just nope.
Great characters. Prepare to buy the box set.
Story threw me for a loop but then turned around to be a great read!
I enjoyed this book. Great Characters.
Good enough to buy the full set!
Zoey arrives a week too early at Gabriel Lewis’s camp. She’s planning to spend time with her nephew. Gabe and Zoey are immediately attracted to each other and immediately act upon their attraction. I knew it was going to be touch and go with this book when Gabe and Zoey tumble into bed right away. How is the author going to fill the book? The twist Lopez presents is not very appealing. Plus, the casual manner in which those concerned deal with it, is unconvincing. Everybody is going to be part of one big happy family despite past transgressions. The Lewis family members call each other names, thump one another on the back and throw themselves into each other’s arms with stubborn frequency. Other than that there’s not much going on in this book
Book was OK, but it’s not a stand alone and there are several more.
I didn’t care for this book at all and didn’t find anything romantic about it. The hero falls for the heroine but had been with her sister years ago & has a secret love child he never knew about with her. Yuck! Keeping it in the family. Not my kind of book at all.
