Karessa has it all. An award-winning plus-size lingerie line, a beautiful life in France, and all the money she could ever want. But what she doesn’t have is him. Beau Haught. The man she’d loved since the moment she laid eyes on him, but he’d thrown them away the minute he’d found out her fashion designer dreams had come true. Making the best day in her life qualify as the worst. It’s been a … long time since she’s returned home or seen him. She needs to move the hell on and she’s got a plan. Rock Beau Haught’s world and leave the man the way he’d left her…a crumbled mess.
***
Beau Haught has been a chick magnet for as long as he can remember, but he’d never wanted any of them the way he wanted Karessa. The one that got away…actually the one he pushed away so she could have the life she wanted. Change is hard but now he has it in spades his brother is getting married, his ex-girlfriend is back in town, and his life is in a topspin. The one thing he does know is he’d do anything for Karessa and her well-being…even if that means letting her go…again.

I really enjoyed getting to know and love Beau and Karessa. They share a past with love and heartbreak, and it was very entertaining to see them work through their fears xmas insecurities. Great supporting characters and storyline.
This is the first book I have read by Leela Dahlin. She did not disappoint. I love second chance romance books. It was steamy and the characters had great chemistry. This book is definitely recommended.
I really liked this book SO much!! The pace was kind of slow but oh boy hello hot steamy heat!! You can’t miss out on a great story about true love and second chances.
This was an intense but good book for me, It was steamy and had some really great moments between the main characters. Leela Lou Dahlin really did a great job when writing this book!
I love second-chance books. I loved that Beau –and his family– was there for Karessa, taking care of her, as she hasn’t had the best of times growing up. They parted to follow their dreams on different continents. Eight years went by and the second meeting is fire and ice. There were long-kept secrets, hard feelings, mettling friends and family, and lots of passion.
This book was cute and fun to read. I enjoyed the characters and the story. The emotions were realistic and I wanted to keep reading it. I definitely recommend this book.
This was an enjoyable read. I’m glad Beau finally winded up and went after Karessa.
Beau Haught’s younger brother Camden is getting married to Gemmi and everyone important to them has come back for the wedding, including his ex-girlfriend, Karessa.
Karessa Monroe thought she had the perfect man 8 years ago with Beau until he suddenly broke up with her when she was given an internship in France. Now Karessa is back in town and tied up thanks to her best friend, True.
Can Karessa and Beau come to terms with what happened in the past and get over it or are they bound to make the same mistakes again?
This was a great book and I liked reading about Beau and Karessa!
Beau was great but I did understand why he split with Karessa once we learned about what happened. He did not want to hold her back and I do understand that but I also could see Karessa’s side as well.
Karessa did so well for herself in France and I was amazed at how much she accomplished! She had such personality and I loved the chemistry between her and Beau! I loved how True manipulated everything in order to force Beau and Karessa to talk.
There were definitely some bumps along the road for Beau and Karessa but I loved how everything came together – especially at the very end!
This is book 2 in the Haught brothers series. This story takes us on the journey of Beau and Karissa. This is a second chance romance. Beau let Karissa go to start her dream job. Karissa didn’t want to let Beau go but he gave her no chose. With a little shove can these two work it out or will Beau let her leave again. I loved this book. They have so much chemistry. Can’t wait to read book 3.
Who knew Beau had been in love for so long?! This was a steamy second chance romance. Really good read! Can’t wait to dig into book 3.
Haught and Naughty! What else would you expect from the lingerie designer and bar owner who were childhood sweethearts that fell apart chasing their dreams continents apart?! Karessa and Beau are repeatedly shoved together and forced to face the demons of their heartbroken past as they prepare to attend his brother’s wedding. Her revenge plan is hard to follow through with, however; when she can’t stop getting distracted by his hard body. When the truth of their past finally comes to light will it make a difference, or is the damage already done? There’s a lot of distance between the past and the future, almost as much as between Larasville and Paris.
If you love second chance romance stories, this is a great one! They have history and they have love. This is another great book by Leela Lou. She never disappoints!!
Beau and Karessa have history, but are not together, for reasons that are they are unsure of. They are pushed together for the wedding of Camden and Gemmi. Can their reasons withstand their passion for each other?? I love True and her shenanigans !!! I can’t wait for her and Alec’s story!!!
Holy cow!!
Beau has always loved Karessa and would do anything for her. Karessa came from a hard life of a kid who never knew what it was like to be cared for and loved. Her mom wasn’t part of happiness. Her mom was to selfish to see a young girl needed her mom, but her mom wasn’t clean ever. The Haught Brothers took her in under their wings and feed her and help her out, but Beau was always something more. He never did anything till they were older but when the chance came to Karessa to go to Paris and design lingerie he couldn’t be a reason why she didn’t go. So he all but physically pushed her away to go and live a life that he couldn’t do. After years pass their feelings never changed and when Camden and Gemmi get married Karessa comes back to be part of the celebration and reopen wounds that never fully closed. Will Beau and Karessa be together and bring hope to their lives? Will Love still be there? You need to read this.
This was just as good as the first book. I love how authors do a this. Each book working on a couple at a time but add the others in as well. This is one of those you love them let them go, but the way the author wrote this it kept you wanting to find out how it was going to end. Its hard when one person is doing so well in there life and you life is so different then theirs… It will keep you reading for sure.
Second chance romance
Well this book does not disappoint! Loved Too Haught! Beau and Karessa are a great second chance love story. Chemistry between them is there from the get go. Loved how the attorney starts the book and it sucks you in. Can’t wait to read the 3rd book.
This book was quick enough to be interesting, but I felt like we were dropped into the middle of Karessa’s and Beau’s long-lost romance with little to no backstory for much of the book. Granted, we learned more about their pasts and a vague overview of what ended them years ago, but other pieces were mentioned once or twice, then dropped and never actually resolved or didn’t really fit with what we already knew of their history. For example, Karessa felt that Beau never wanted anyone to know about them being together, but it isn’t really delved into and everyone knew that they’d been in a relationship anyway, so it didn’t really make sense. I’ll still read the next book because I’ve been waiting for Alec and True and their story, but I hope for a more cohesive “this is how we got here” explanation for them.
This was an excellent addition to the Haught Brothers series. Beau and Karessa’s story is sweet, steamy and fun.
Beau is such a lovable guy. He had everything he could ever dream of when he was with Karessa but gave it all up so Karessa could follow her dream. He never meant to break her heart he just wanted to do what he thought was right. It’s been eight years since they’ve seen each other but now Karessa is back in town for Gemmi and Camden’s wedding. The lovable True decides to step in and play match maker once again. Will the two lovebirds be able to overcome the past and give love a second chance?
I love the Haught Brothers and look forward to reading Alec and True’s story.
