As the successful and driven CEO of Lewis Sporting Goods, Dillon rarely has time to eat a home cooked meal, let alone put any time or effort into maintaining an actual relationship. He’s been living on fumes and casual encounters for so long that finding love and starting a family never even crossed his mind, until his cousins Gabe and Reardon found women who gave them both. Laurel has been in … been in love with Dillon since she was nine years old. Unfortunately, he’s always seen her as his little sister’s pesky best friend. She can’t stop her heart from beating frantically whenever he’s near, but she’s become an expert at keeping her feelings from everyone, especially Dillon. Her secret has been safe, until now…
When Laurel needs help with her business plan, her best friend urges her to seek help from Dillon. Determined to push her feelings aside and focus on her fledgling business, Laurel knows she needs to do whatever it takes to succeed, even if it means being treated to indifference and big brother teasing from the man she loves.
Can Laurel work with Dillon and still keep her heart intact, or will things get Too Distracting when Dillon realizes what a beautiful, kind, and generous woman she has become?
Too Distracting is the third in an all-new small-town romance series by Bethany Lopez. Follow the Lewis cousins as they learn about love and loss in Cherry Springs, the kind of place where there are festivals for every occasion and everyone knows your business.

04/28/2021 In “Too Distracting” (nook) Laurel has loved Dillon for years but he is oblivious, which causes her angst and sadness. When he finally realizes that he loves Laurel, he is all in. This story is sweet and ends with a great happily-ever-after.
Sweet
Loved this book just like the rest, entertaining family.
Sweet with a lot of heat
Friends (if you call constant adolescent pranking friendly) to lovers story of Dillon and his twin sister’s best friend, Laurel. A fun and flirty read with a lot of heat.
Too Distracting: The Lewis Cousins, Book Three was another great read by Bethany Lopez. Dillon is the CEO of Lewis Sporting Goods and doesn’t have much spare time on his hands. Laurel has loved Dillion since she was nine years old, but all he ever saw her as was his little sisters best friend. She seeks help from Dillon with her business plan and tries to fight off her attraction to him. I loved reading Laurel and Dillon’s story and can’t wait to read more by Bethany Lopez.
Another excellent story. Dillion & Laurel are a great couple. The fact they grew up together with a the teasing & pranks siblings do was not in their favor because they weren’t siblings. I really liked Laurel’s determination and spunk. Dillion supporting her was such a bonus. I think this story is my favorite thus far.
I wasn’t sure I liked Lacy Laurel’s more brash voice for th his story but soon became accustom to it. She did an excellent job narrating and portraying the characters.
This is the first series that I remember where each story has a different narrator. In some ways I like it. The characters don’t sound all alike when different couples are highlighted. In other ways it is disconcerting. I’ll reserve final judgment.
A fun read with quietly building true love that shocks the two who are falling in love. Who says that young, innocent love isn’t lasting.
I got one book by Brittany Lopez through Book Bub and have since bought several more. This one is worth it just for the cover photo who I think is a professional athlete I recognize.
OH TO BE IN THIS AUTHORS HEAD! I THINK I COULD HAPPILY LIVE THERE!
Great series!
Great story
Well written. Good story and character development!
Good characters, fun romance.
I love all the books in this series. The way the characters interact with each other is very entertaining, and I love that there is so much affection between the cousins and their families. It’s nice to read books where characters have great childhood memories instead of having every character suffering from trust issues because of a traumatic childhood. Great books!
Great and have read the other in the series!
Quick read and enjoyable
Laurel has returned to her home town after a several year bad relationship. She has always had a thing for her best friends brother, Dillon. Dillon and Jaz have taken over the family sporting goods business and are trying to make it a player on a national level. Dillon sees Laurel as his little sister’s pesky friend. Laurel needs business advice and Dillon reluctantly agrees to help. Will Dillon and Laurel find their way to happily ever after?
This was the first book in The Lewis Cousins that I have read. The author does a great job of giving enough background that it reads fine as a standalone. But I will say that I am super excited to go back and read the first 2 books. Fun characters that were easy to relate to. If you are looking for a sweet, quick read grab Too Distracting and start reading!
Laurel has loved her best friend’s twin brother, Dillon forever. He only remembers his sister and Laurel pulling tons of pranks on him. Laurel is all grown up and ends up being Dillon’s plus one for a weekend networking event. Laurel propositions him and things take off from there. I love the close knit family dynamics and am looking forward to reading more in this series!
Unrequited love is quite possibly my favorite and this book did not disappoint. Dillon has always viewed Laurel as his twin sister’s annoying friend. Laurel’s been in love with Dillon for as long as she can remember. Moving back home without her parents support after a bad relationship Laurel is looking for a fresh start and wants to change Dillion’s perception of her. I really enjoyed this story, and the emotions that came with it. I wanted so badly for Dillon to love Laurel, and my heart broke for her when he took someone else home from the bar in the beginning of the book. I appreciated how he helped her stand up to her parents to make her dreams come true. When the light bulb came on and he FINALLY realized that he loved her too, I was happy for them, Laurel definitely deserves her HEA. I listened to the audio of this one as well, the narrator did a really good job. My only complaint, and it’s not even that big of a deal, is that her “Dillon” voice was quieter than her “Laurel” voice so I found myself having to adjust the volume frequently. On the plus side, there was no confusion as to who’s dialogue it was.
This is another wonderful addition to the Lewis Cousin series. Dillion and Laurel have known each other since grade school. They have a love hate relationship. The author does a great job given you a glimpse of how people can change as they age and how you can come to see someone in a different light. I love the way the characters really come alive in this series. They are all created with such endearing characteristics. I find she highlights that they are loyal, loving, witty, intelligent, generous and spunky! Definitely a great read.
