You don’t necessarily need to read the others in the series in order to understand this one but it does help. Very easy to get caught up in the story and the characters were really well written.
This is the fifth book in the series and is another great addition to the series. This is a really good well-written book and I really liked both Jasmine and Shane they were great characters and not only did they have good chemistry the banter between them was a lot of fun. If like me you have enjoyed the previous books in the series then you won’t want to miss this one.
Ahh the last of the Lewis Cousins goes down. . . in more ways than one. Jazzy is the last cousin to marry and of course she had to be the unique one. Done out of need which soon reveals it all. Shane finally has a chance at the woman of his dreams and it only took 10 years. Deception and guilt may be a big problem at first but the biggest hurdle is trust. This author has done the cousins well and this last one was a goodie. Yeah it’s passion and crazy love but it has it’s issues. Shane may be all in but he’s got to convince Jasmine. The cousins are a great group of folks and they sure have expanded. This is a great story and fits with the characters to a tee. I loved it and so will you. A great end to this generations story but they have more than a soccer team worth of offspring in the next generation which I am sure the town isn’t ready for.
They strike a deal.
Shane is from Australia, he works for theLewis’. With no job after completing his masters and his green card is expiring.
Shane met Jazzy two decades ago. He’s crushed on her but she’s pigeon holed him as a player.
Now, Jasmine is trying to buy a house but there’s an iron clad stipulation that she needs to be married to buy it. Archaic.
So Shane offers to marry her as a joke to get the house. Jazzy proposes to him to solve both their dilemmas.
But she’s dismissed him as a notorious flirt, going from woman to woman Indiscriminately.
But Shane’s all in on marrying Jasmine.
Can they make it for real?

So sorry the series is over…
A wonderful ending to a fabulous series. How in the world could someone capture Jasmine’s heart as shes always shown to be tough and extremely independent. Toss in a reason for Jasmine to get married and the same for her Aussie bartending admirer, add Vegas and mix in a little time at camp and you have a stunner of a story. Loved it.
I have read a few Bethany Lopez books and enjoyed them all so far. I didn’t start The Lewis Cousins series at the beginning but have enjoyed the ones I read even out of order. Jasmine is home from a long stent of traveling for work and she decides it is time to stop renting her apartment and build her life in a real home. Shane has been studying in the US but now that school is over if he can’t find a job then his visa won’t be renewed. They have known each other for years but these 2 circumstances throw them together as a couple.
This is a fun series and I love all the characters. A group of tight knit cousins and their significant others. They laugh and tease each other but always with love. Too Dangerous is about Jasmine learning that sometimes you have to take that leap of faith in order to find love. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
Another really good addition to this series with a friends to lovers vibe. I really enjoyed the writing of the book, but wasn’t in love with the narration. I felt like the speech was through her nose and that sound bugs me a bit, but the emotions and reading was done well so I’m a bit on the fence with it. Still it is definitely worth a listen/read.
A very sweet, romance. Not sure how the title fits. But it’s entertaining and enjoyable short story. Nice happy ending.
I loved this series! sorry to see it end.
This was a quick read for me because I couldn’t put it down. The male character, Shane, was quite a strong yet sensitive man. Some people may be more judgemental toward the female, Jasmine, ; but I knew there must be some history behind her fears. I experienced a traumatic incident 38 years ago and I still am wary in certain situations, even movies, that bring back memories of it.
Great read
I really enjoyed it
This may be the last book in this series, but Shane and Jasmine’s story makes me want to go back and read the previous books. I loved this book! I loved their romance and chemistry! I loved the closeness in the Lewis family. I love the fact that I found a favorite author in Bethany Lopez!
Love the Lewis stories so much that I read all of them .
What starts out as a sham wedding turns into the real thing.
Enjoyed this book! The characters were great & the storyline kept you hooked til the end!
Good book. Little hard to believe that Jazzy, being a smart woman, did not know that Shane was not a player. I liked the characters and the Aussie terms, good addition to the story.
Audio Review: Too Dangerous (The Lewis Cousins, #5) by Bethany Lopez (Author), Amy Soakes (Narrator)
Shane and Jasmine read like a beautiful tragedy. She yearns for someone to trust, but doesn’t know how to listen to her heart. He wants to be both her protector and her salvation, but doesn’t know how to break through the walls she’s built around her heart. Lopez continues to take on human vulnerabilities with a keen eye and an empowering outcome. Too Dangerous is an open book that speaks for itself. Although, I loved the journey, Lopez and Soakes took my emotions on quite the ride.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story, Shane an Jazzy were electric from the beginning. I haven’t read any of the other books in the series so I don’t completely know their past but they had a chemistry that was undeniable.
A marriage of convenience.. dangerous? Maybe. Worth it? Hopefully.
Shane is so hot from the beginning and I just love all the Australian lingo he used throughout the book. It was sexy. Jazzy was very headstrong and hardheaded. I liked the fact that she was independent and had her own money, she wasn’t a damsel in distress at all.
This was a good story and I am excited to go and start from the beginning of the series and read the rest of the books to see how the other couples all came to be about.
