Great beach read. Light-hearted.Fun. Fast paced. Some red herrings thrown in. Contrived, not quite believable ending but I had to admit, I did see it coming.
Got you interested in the characters and the plot. Great twist at the end.
Great plot twists.
Loved it
“Too Close for Comfort” introduces us to Detective Sergeant Wendy Knight, her boss, Chief Inspector Jack Culverhouse, her brother, Michael Knight and the man she begins to date, Robert Ludford. On Wendy’s first case working with DCI Culverhouse, she finds herself in a small town in England, involved in finding the serial killer of young girls, two of whom were prostitutes. All the bodies are left in places easy to find. Readers struggle with Wendy as she looks for clues to find the murderer, has to work with DCI Culverhouse who has the reputation of not caring to work with women police officers, has to take care of her brotherMichael who she had not seen for four years because he was a drug addict, and tries to build a relationship with Robert Ludford, the man whose car she backed into. The ending takes a surprising turn.
Great Suspense and a mystery you can’t put down til the end.
This book was exciting to the end. The ending caught me by surprise
I enjoy following the thought process of the detectives as they work thru the murders.
The characters are very real, a great story
I liked the unexpected twisted ending.
Once I started reading, it was hard to put down. Easy read.
First up its great when can get a book so can read on Kobo reader, as many good deals are only available through Amazon using a Kindle. This book was hard to put down and wasn’t til at least 3/4 way through the book thought ‘maybe’ this person was the killer but then thought no way and I was proved wrong. Loved the book and now looking forward to reading another Adam Croft Book.
Great read, found I didn’t have to skip any passages as the story held all my interest
Wendy Knight is new to the CID force in Midlenheath, England. She’s wanted to be a detective for years and her first case is a serial killer who’s been murdering prostitutes. On top of her job assignment, Wendy has to deal with her drug addict brother, a new love interest and a short-tempered boss.
This was a quick, easy read. Not too complex or challenging. I knew who the killer was before Wendy did.
I didn’t like the book at all. It was too naive for a detective series.
The ending was disappointing and the surprise was unexpected and not believable.
The characters were one dimensional and the dialogue stilted.
Rather short book, abrupt ending that didn’t really make sense to the story.
