To The Rude Guy in Apartment Five,
I’m glad you’re happy to have moved into a new apartment, but no:
I do not want to have a beer with you.
I do not want to have a nude sleepover.
I do not want to make you breakfast, lunch or dinner, no matter how many lap dances you promise to give me.
I do not need you to serenade me through the walls at 1am.
And no, I have no interest in letting you take me … letting you take me on a date.
Sincerely,
Magnolia Allen
P.S. And no, I do not want to know how many accents you can growl in during
intimate moments. How is that even a thing?
P. P. S. Also, you will never find me standing naked in your living room ever
again, so please stop leaving lingerie packages on my welcome mat.

This is a second chance romance. The book begins with Magnolia trading notes with her new neighbor. Magnolia seems a bit up tight and Jagger is easy going. The notes are hilarious and Jagger is kind of obnoxious, but that’s a part of his charm. Magnolia and Jagger have a bit of history and it’s wonderful and heartbreaking at the same time. They both made mistakes and are completely aware and repentant of those mistakes. The book takes us on a journey of them accepting the past and navigating their possible future. I enjoyed the writing, the banter was fun and Jagger was over the top at times, but Magnolia gets him. I felt like he was presented as two different people, who he was in the beginning and trying to live up to that character and who he was after laying it all out for Magnolia. In the end he blended into a very unique hero. Magnolia is light with him and I enjoyed seeing her relax. Sweet and steamy with a great epilogue. I was given the opportunity to read a copy of this book.
OMG, I so enjoyed this book, didn’t even want to put it down. It has really wonderful characters, lots of hilarious banter between them, blossoming new friendships and relationships, some unexpected revelations, twist and turns, ups and downs and some hot, steamy action. If you want an entertaining book this is one for sure. Awesome read! Looking forward to reading the next book! Received an ARC to do an honest review.
Love it. It go right to the point and not wasting any time, so you get to the good storyline right away. Love the storyline and everything about it. I cannot wait for the next book in this series.
Main Male and Female Characters: Great Repartee.
I really got into the swing of things with this novel right away from the blurb about the story. I loved the repartee between the two main male and female characters. This art of the book was especially funny. I felt like I could “hear” a bit of “Seuss-isms” in their banter. (Love the work of Dr. Seuss.) The characterizations were clearly defined, believable and matured over time. The story itself was original and for the most part light-hearted. The main female character struck up new friendships with a group of women at work. I can easily see each of these characters having their own stories, as each character was unique, clearly defined and played interesting roles in this story.
I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this novel from the author and I am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to this author.
Jagger and Magnolia will set your Kindle on fire. Talk about chemistry, it’s explosive. The naughty post-it notes on her door are hilarious and their back and forth banter is amusing. This book is one you will find hard to put down once you start. I read it in one sitting and stayed up until I finished. The characters are well developed and likable. Lots of drama, twists, suspense and tons of tumor. He’s her mysterious new next door neighbor, but is he a blast from the past ? Lots of secrets, hidden passions and love from the past. A great book that I know you will enjoy. JS Cooper has another winner. I read an arc via the author and voluntarily chose to write a review. No cliffhanger and a HEA.
