Come back to a time when manners are everything and rules are made to never be broken. Come back to a time when men are in charge and women do what they are told…
Yeah, that never happened.
Welcome to Megan Bryce’s Regencyland, where ladies with backbone get what they want. Where a woman can thumb her nose at rules and care little for convention, and yet somehow, unexpectedly and most … most reluctantly, find love.
To Tame A Lady
Lady Amelia Delaney is known for her sharp tongue, no-nonsense attitude, and sizable fortune. Numerous suitors have tried to win her hand for the money, for the challenge, and for a rather unfortunate bet. She knows the unflattering reasons behind her numerous proposals– can she ever accept that a man would want to marry her just for herself?
Jameson Pendrake is a devil-may-care dandy who cares for naught but fun and fashion. But behind his laughing green eyes lies a dark history, and he calls off his wedding because of his fear of repeating the past. He can not simply give up on the idea of marriage– a wife is the best defense against the yearly crop of scheming mothers and their frilly daughters. But to allay his fears he needs a woman strong enough to laugh in the face of his past. A woman unflappable, unwavering, and unbroken. He knows just the woman. The trick, it seems, is in getting her to accept.

WOW! I love, love ,love this book!!! Not too mushy, my kind of Romance Novel! A Definite Must Read!!!!
I just absolutely loved this one. Amelia is a fixer of the first order, and Jameson (her brother’s best friend) has once again caused chaos in her life. After breaking off his engagement right before the wedding, Amelia must make sure Clarice’s reputation isn’t ruined by Jameson’s poor judgement. As Amelia moves the ton like an chess master, …
I found it to be predictable but entertaining. More like a snack. Characters needed more fleshing out.
I was looking for something a little different, having been disappointed by a couple of books. A new author for me, I thoroughly enjoyed the witty dialogue between the characters. It was almost a spoof on the courtship and marriage customs of the time period. Short and sweet.
A fun, light read, and well written, too, which is what I hope for, and seldom find.
Engaging dialogue, and a “spunky” woman who is neither rude, reckless, nor stupid (a common failing when authors try to write strong-willed women). She is managing, clever, and caring, and it works well.
The characters are well developed and realistic. Humor and …
Great, witty dialogue between two lovable characters.
This book was more like a novella. I liked the main female character. She knew her own mind and had a dim view of the opposite sex, living in the Victorian era when women were definitely second class citizens and considered more decorative objects than real live thinking human beings. The story is simple. Amelia and Jameson have known each other …
The repartee throughout the book was priceless
Enjoyed reading it
Entertaining characters. Fun read.
This book was a fast paced romance. The humor and witty conversations between characters was enjoyable.
Good for what it is: a quick cheesy happily ever after set in old england
I loved this book! The characters are not perfect, but perfect for each other. I had not read Megan Bryce before, but am now and fan and can’t wait to read the rest of this series.
I loved the main characters and the dialogue was fabulous!
To Tame a Lady is almost worth 3 1/2 stars! It has a humorous story with engaging characters and is a fun, quick read with a HEA.
Zzzzzzzz
The banter between the Hero and heroine are hilarious and quite entertaining. They understood each other so well and did fool around with hurt feelings and wondering what the other is thinking. Those kind of books get so boring.
Really enjoy her heroines
This was a very entertaining story.
