Come back to a time when manners are everything and rules are made to never be broken. Come back to a time when men are in charge and women do what they are told…
Yeah, that never happened.
Welcome to Megan Bryce’s Regencyland, where ladies with backbone get what they want. Where a woman can thumb her nose at rules and care little for convention, and yet somehow, unexpectedly and most … most reluctantly, find love.
To Tame A Lady
Lady Amelia Delaney is known for her sharp tongue, no-nonsense attitude, and sizable fortune. Numerous suitors have tried to win her hand for the money, for the challenge, and for a rather unfortunate bet. She knows the unflattering reasons behind her numerous proposals– can she ever accept that a man would want to marry her just for herself?
Jameson Pendrake is a devil-may-care dandy who cares for naught but fun and fashion. But behind his laughing green eyes lies a dark history, and he calls off his wedding because of his fear of repeating the past. He can not simply give up on the idea of marriage– a wife is the best defense against the yearly crop of scheming mothers and their frilly daughters. But to allay his fears he needs a woman strong enough to laugh in the face of his past. A woman unflappable, unwavering, and unbroken. He knows just the woman. The trick, it seems, is in getting her to accept.

It was just plain fun. Loved the wit. Liked that the sex was alluded to, not described in detail. Usually read a regency romance after a serious book, will get more of this author’s books.
Great book. A typical Regency romance with a bit more. I was laughing out loud at some of the witty remarks. The characters were relatable and the story line engrossing. Plenty of romance without the steam. I enjoy books where the dialogue is witty and the women are strong, independent and not bound by the societal norm of the particular time …
Megan Bryce is one of my favborite authors
Knew the ending almost from the begining. Not very steamy. Good “clean” entertainmemt for those who would enjoy that.
Dialogue driven smart snappy dialogue romantic quick read
I liked this one although it was predictable, except for the sexual remarks.
Great book and it want disappoint it’s readers!
Her books are romantic, page turners. I enjoy her characters & easy plots.
Easy read, entertaining.
Thought the characters were fun.
I enjoyed the characters. Jamison at times made me want to smack him but he was endearing anyway. The author was able to make the characters come alive.
Found it awkward to read.
This is an ok read, but nothing exceptional. It is about childhood friends that care about each other but never considered being in love with each other. The H realizes the h could be a perfect wife for him because she already really knows the real him and vice versa. So he woos her and in the end both find out they truly love each other and …
It moved a bit slow. Some parts were not realistic.
It was a fun read. I enjoyed it. The characters were fun. Enjoyable characters.
The story line was interesting and I liked the characters. However the story seemed rushed. I would have liked it more if there was more to it.
