What a wonderful first story in Samantha Holt’s Highland Fae Chronicles series. I’ve always loved a bit of fae magic in historical romances:) Tèile, the green faery, is in charge of making sure Alana and Morgann end up together but little did she know how hard that would be when dealing with two very strong and stubborn people!!
Alana hasn’t seen Morgann in eight years, ever since her father threw him off his land and branded him a thief. Now she’s suddenly his captive and is desperate to escape, not liking the hard man he’s become. Between the fae and Morgann’s evil stepmother, they sure have quite the adventure ahead of them! I really enjoyed every page, from start to finish!!

I’m not a fan of the stories with the fae but I enjoyed the interaction between main characters.
Standard romance fodder.
Very sweet and romantic
I love a Highlander!
If you enjoy the 13th century highlands romances, then this one is for you. It has enough plot twists plus a bit of whimsy and fairies, plus the threat of warfare between clans.
This was a fun read and had more going for it than many similar books. The characters were well-drawn and the plotline interesting. The bad guy was evil, the good guys were self-sacrificing and noble. The setting was the majestic Scottish highlands. Though there are several references to sex and passionate longing, but it is not a steamy read. Nothing graphic, which was kind of refreshing after reading several of the current “bodice-rippers” recently.
One of those books with a flimsy plot to have an excuse for the physical interactions, though the male lead did seem to have a bit more respect for women than you might expect
It was OK. I wanted more… It would have been nice to give them a story line with more interaction. The fairies were a nice surprise…
Liked it so much I bought the sequel!
Characters seemed genuine great story. Good read.
I loved every second of this book
To Steal a Highlander’s Heart is a Scottish Historical with a touch of fairy dust in the mix. This is a most enjoyable book with interesting twists thanks to the fairy folks. A most enjoyable romance read. Scottish Romance with a Twist!
