All women have insecurities
This author has tackled a delicate subject and shown us what it truly means to be women supporting women, to believe that your man loves you and to know what it means to love yourself. Not everyone is happy all of the time, but by being able to communicate Dolan helps Layla refind her body love and the HEA they fought so hard for. I can’t wait to read the next book.
Just the absolute best story. It had me captivated from the beginning with the hot steamy scenes. I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it! Everything I like to read about and more. Such a great story I will read again and again. A keeper!!

To Serve My Alien Man by Sabrina Kade is a short story in the series of the Rebels of Sidyth. This short read is mainly about the ongoing relationship between the pregnant human woman Layla and her Sidyth mate Dolan. This is a fun fast read with lots of emotional pregnancy angst and scorching hot sexual scenes. This is the perfect short read for a quick break or before bed. I loved reading it. To Serve My Alien Man is a short sensual read.
I immediately connected to Layla, because I knew how she felt personally. I felt all of her emotions and almost cried. This short novella was so good and tugged at my heartstrings. I just loved it.

It’s not easy growing an alien baby in a curvy body.
This is a short novella from the series Rebels of Sidyth. You don’t have to read the first six, but it will make a lot more sense.
The basis of the series is that aliens from the planet Sidyth disagreed with how the males treated the females like they were slaves. The Rebels felt that females should be cherished and protected not used and abused. So the King sent the Rebels away, including his son the Prince. They were also sent 20 females. The females were former slaves that may become mated with the Rebels. One of the first rules for the males were was the females were never to be forced into intimacy. If a female liked one of the males and wanted to be mated to them, they held that power. As the females started choosing their mates, then pregnancies started happening.
In this story, Layla is very pregnant. Being she is a curvy female, she starts feeling too curvy. She has insecurities and mixed with pregnancy hormones, things get wonky. When her mate, Dolan, calls her ‘ample’ she looses it. When she calls herself ‘disgusting’ he looses it. They have to tread lightly and learn how the other feels. He feels that he must be a bad mate if she is unhappy and sad.
It was a good story because it shows how they worked through a tough spot and still came out together. Human females get insecure about their bodies and that their mates won’t find them attractive anymore. I liked how they came together.

This story deals with how a woman feels when her body starts changing during her pregnancy. And how those hormones can make you crazy: laughing one minute and crying the next.
Well worth reading!
A short quick story to read. About Layla and what happens when she gets pregnant and starts to feel upset with her body and everything Dolan tries to show she is still the best woman for him. Another great story in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Layla and Dolan were one of my top favorites on the planet of Hethdiss. Layla was always so direct and outgoing. Though things change as much as your body when you are pregnant. Dolan is there every step of the way, confused but determined to love her no matter what.
I loved getting to read about them again. Hopefully another book in the series will come out soon so we can see more.
I woukd recommend.
Happy reading!

Layla is not happy with the stretch marks and changes to her body with her pregnancy. She mumbled that she was disgusting, which her gorgeous husband Dolan responded to by wrapping his arms around her lovingly, telling her how he loves her without words. But her confidence is gone; she feels round, sweaty, grumpy, contrary, and not cute! Even when he tells her she is absolutely not disgusting, she feels disconnected, like he just doesn’t understand. Again he tells her that he has never felt more attracted to her, but it means nothing if she won’t believe it. Angry that she insists on telling him how he feels, he leaves to visit friends. But insecure Layla is afraid she will keep gaining weight and not lose it after her child is born. The other women gained about 20 pounds being pregnant – but she is close to gaining 40! And she keeps comparing herself to all the other women.
When Sloane came to visit her best friend, Layla, she mentions how Ellis seems to be struggling to care for her newborn. Ellis is having a problem managing her very strong baby and has bruises just from trying to feed him. Her mate Hujun would help her, but she wants to do everything herself. Layla feels guilty for her own complaining when Ellis is having such real problems. As Layla and Ellis share time together, they are able to help each other do the right thing and understand each other’s insecurities. Ellis needs to let Hujun help more with his child; Layla needs to know that Dolan adores her just the way she is.
This was a very appropriate “slice of life” moment that I think would be helpful for many mom’s-to-be. Pregnancy produces changes and the hormones make you crazed. But it’s only temporary and those around you love you, even though it may feel you’re the only one aware of whatever is upsetting you. And wanting to prove yourself can blind you to the fact that others want to share the load and be part of the experience. So the ladies learn valuable lessons and those of us who have experienced these things can nod in the affirmative. Love will get you through everything if you just hang in there! Even if you experience it on another planet!
I love how this story addresses the biggest fears that go through a new mothers mind and it is done in a way that is enjoyable to read and it is even easy for non mothers to understand. This was a great quick read and an awesome addition to this series.
To Serve my Alien Man is a slice of life novella in the Rebels of Sydth series. A swift read that satiates your craving until the next novel is available. A fun way to see Dolan and Layla along with some of the others again.
For being a short novella it kicked quite a punch. I loved how well the characters were developed and the storyline flowed smoothly that it kept me turning the pages.

I absolutely loved Dolan. He’s just too good to be true. Layla is having self doubt about her pregnancy with the bodily changes she’s having but Dolan’s view of her remains the same. She is still beautiful in his eyes, more so now that she is carrying his child. Layla will just have to deal with the matter herself, Dolan realized but told her no matter what, he is still hers and she is still is.

Book Review
Title: To Serve My Alien Man
Author: Sabrina Kade
Genre: Sci-Fi/Romance
Rating: *****
Review: So, this is a short novella in the Rebels of Sidyth series and this also focuses on Layla and Dolan, while I didn’t love this couple in their own story, I was excited to see more from this world and all of these characters. Despite being less than 50 pages long I really loved this side to Layla and Dolan’s relationship. The whole story centres around Layla’s insecurities while she is pregnant especially regarding her weight and while she never had issues with her weight before this does seem to be a major issues for Layla as it is with a lot of women. However, Dolan doesn’t react well to this as he sees Layla as the most beautiful, but he also doesn’t understand human insecurities which makes the situation even more difficult to deal and often leads to one or both of them storming off.
The most interesting part about the story is how the pair come to terms with Layla’s insecurities and they do this with the unknowing help of Ellis. Ellis is Hujun’s mate and recently gave birth to Junis but is having real problems are she was very small and is struggling to control the new-born who is strong enough to bruise her and she is also keeping Hujun at a distance wanting to do everything herself, despite pushing away all the other girls. Layal turns to Ellis and they help each other, Layla helps Ellis come to terms with her baby and even convinces her to let Hujun have more physical contact with their child and Ellis helps Layal realise that it doesn’t matter what she thinks about herself because Dolan loves her not for her body but for who she is and that will never change.
The ending of To Serve My Alien Man was beautiful as we see Layla and Dolan kiss and make up and overcome the first major obstacle in their relationship. I really loved this story, but I did have one issue with it and that was despite knowing a few of the girls have got pregnant and even given birth we haven’t been able to see these scenes. I would like one book where we get to see the birth of an interspecies child and possible the emotionally reaction from the father and the naming of the child, it was just be a beautiful scene to add into one of the upcoming novels in the series.
