From New York Times Bestselling Author J. S. Cooper comes another sexy laugh out loud funny standalone romance…To Mr. Tate Howard,
You are quite possibly the most infuriating, annoying and grumpy man I’ve ever met in my life. I know you think that you’re God’s gift to women, but I have a secret to let you in on: you’re not. You’re God’s gift to yourself. Get over your wanna-be cool surfer self … wanna-be cool surfer self and grow up. I thought it was time that someone addressed your big head and told you straight to your face that you’re not all that. Just because you have an Ivy league education doesn’t mean you’re the smartest man in the world. In fact, I’m not even sure if you would have gotten in if you didn’t have rich parents. Yes, I went there. Every woman doesn’t want to sleep with you and I’m sure you’re not even good in bed. And I’m someone that would know.

Your Secret Not Admirer

Loved this read. This book had me laughing, sighing and swooning. Loved Jane and Tate. We got to meet them in To the Rude Guy in Apartment 5 and I have been waiting for their story since then. They were so good together. The chemistry and attraction between them was so hot and intense. Jane started writing notes to Tate because she thought he needed to be knocked down a peg or two. Tate was puzzled at first who was sending the notes. He thought it could be Jane but he wasn’t so sure. Once he figured it out, he was happy it as her. It was so much fun watching the bantering between them and when they finally get together, it was so awesome to watch. I can’t wait until Millie and Marco’s story.
I read an early review copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
“To My Arrogant Boss” was such a pleasure to read. Tate and Jane have amazing chemistry and a quick wit about them. Tate is the owner of a new business in San Fransisco and has hired a team of all females to get his business up and running. Jane has been hired as the marketing manager. A mishap on day one has ignited the fire between these two characters. The notes that they exchange between them have each one pinning for the other and wondering if the other feels the same way. Fun nights out, trips to the gym, and a long weekend away only add fuel to the fire.
Tate is an alpha male and Jane is absolutely up for the challenge in this must-read.
If you are looking for something to read that will put a smile on your face this is just the book for you. You can also check out “To the Rude Guy in Apartment 5” where we first meet Tate and Jane.
This is the second book in the Inappropriate Bachelors series by J.S. Cooper. Tate is definitely arrogant, full of himself and an alpha rich man. When he receives a letter letting him know his imperfections, he finds it funny though he is curious as to who wrote it. Enter Jane, an employee that Tate does not get along with but she is very good at her job. She is strong, smart and gives as good as she gets. There is very funny dialogue in this book and an electric attraction between the two main characters. Storyline keeps you reading. An easy one-click.
I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.
Let’s just say I wouldn’t mind an arrogant boss if he turned out like Tate!! This is a passionate but fun and humorous story about Jane and Tate and how they first meet. The chemistry is undeniable; and while they seem different, Janemay be the one who can change Tate for good. Jane is sassy and fun and daring, Tate is arrogant and crude; but maybe only on the outside… see what happens once Jane cracks his shell!! You will not be disappointed.. or put the book down!! This series is great 🙂
To My Arrogant Boss is kind of an enemies to lovers and obviously boss/employee romance. Jane works in marketing for a new company and Tate is her boss. They have an awkward first day that spirals to a love/hate relationship that is funny as it is ridiculous. Ridiculous works for them. Jane starts leaving notes to Tate as way for her say things under the guise of anonymity. Through the crazy banter they connect. Tate has to go home and Jane agrees to help him out, and things completely change for them. I liked Jane. She is fun and just a bit unsure of herself. She knows what she wants, but questions her motivation. Tate is using his cockiness and sometimes fake immaturity as a veneer. He’s been hurt by his family and has a ton of guilt for something he did as a teenager. I loved that Jane helped him and he was able to see that he is not the same as his family. Enjoyable read with fun, silly, and sincere characters. I was given the opportunity to read a copy of this book.
This book surely had some unexpected scenes, but they were also realistic. Had fun with Jane and Tate. There were times I also hated Tate, but in the end, like Jane, I understood him and fell for him too. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Jane and Tate were amazing!!! I loved janes Sassiness towards Tate and the lust she had for him. Tate was so funny with all of his sexual innuendos. I like the story line and though they were a great fit together. The friends/coworkers were so funny and great friends. It was really a cute book with a lot of chuckles!!! Very good good i would definitely recommend! Can’t wait for the next book in the series!
This is by far one of the best romcom series out there! We meet our usual suspects Magnolia, Jagger,Tate,Jane,Millie, Birdy and Olivia from the 800 club. Tate and Jane have been sparing from the first day they meet, they have this intense chemistry. ONe day Tate finds this note in his gym bag and it as him wondering who could be the person who put it there. Is it Jane or the girl from the gym? Who is the secret not admirer?? Jane is smart, sassy, sexy strong willed, but she was protected all her life and she is ready to spread her wings. However, Tate’s cockienest makes him the least likely candidate, yet there is another side of him that peeks out sometimes. As the story unfolds, they start opening up to each other and their “friendship” takes a different direction. No spoilers, you have to read this story to enjoy Jaimie’s witty dialogues, quirky characters that will make you laugh out loud with their antics. Another amazing story by JS Cooper and I can’t wait to read the next story in this series. I honestly volunteered to review this fabulous story.
Tate and Jane work together in Tate’s new business and there are some serious sparks but Tate is an arrogant billionaire from the south who is always looking for a good time with lots of women while Jane is looking for something more. This begins a series of notes being left. The way these two go back and forth at work is fun and neither takes the offense to what they say to each other. When a trip to Tate’s hometown brings up bad memories Jane is there to help. Even though this story is short you will learn a lot about this couple and will laugh at their banter. Can’t wait for the next book in this series.
I received a copy of this book for a review.
“Ms. Cooper is making me smile a lot lately!
I enjoyed the banter between the main characters! The gym bag notes were FUN!
The “”playfulness”” and camaraderie among co-workers added to the attractiveness of the book, and the character building for future stories.
The dialogue changes toward the end, but no matter, I still enjoyed this romance story.
I received an advanced reader copy, and this is my honest and voluntary review.”
Jane and Tate we’re opposites with an incredible connection. It is a calamity of errors that throw them together. She thinks he is an arrogant Southern ass. The more that she gets to know him the harder she falls. Excellent read!
I loved Tate and Jane. Tate thinks he’s perfect, you know god’s gift to women. He’s arrogant, grumpy sour puss. When he receives an anonymous note stating his imperfections as a person, he gets a chuckle out of it, but is curious as to who it might be. Jane is sassy, smart as a whip, and when these two met previously he mistook her for a stripper if you can believe that. These two are an even matched team, she gives as good as she gets. The banter between them is hilarious, will Jane be able to knock Tate down a few pegs or will their attraction take things to the next level? I received a copy of this book.
Hilarious Banter And Enemies To Lovers Tension! Tate And Jane’s Kinky Love Story Sizzles.
This is the second book in The Inappropriate Bachelors series, which so far revolves around a group of five women who are hired at a new tech start-up in San Francisco and become fast friends. Note that soon there will be eight women, and apparently there will be a ninth as well. The first book, To The Rude Guy in Apartment Five, is Magnolia’s story about her rude new neighbor, Jagger. This book is about Jane. To My Arrogant Boss is her story about her socially awkward and incredibly obnoxious boss Tate. The third will be about Jane’s brother from L.A., Marco. His and Millie’s story is titled To My First and Last One Night Stand.
Tate Howard, thirty, thought he and Jagger Scott were kindred spirits. They met in college, the Ivy Leagues, and worked together on Wall Street, both becoming immensely wealthy in a few years’ time. When Tate followed his dream and decided to open an app and website, Jagger agreed to be his silent investor and followed him to San Francisco. It was a lot of work to start a business, so Tate looked forward to Friday nights out with Jagger, which always started with alcohol and good times and ended with an anonymous hookup. But Jagger had forced Tate to hire his long lost first love Magnolia, and now the couple is living together and engaged. Jagger has practically disappeared, which isn’t good for Tate.
Tate hasn’t been with a woman in two months. And worse, the beautiful Latina he mistook as a stripper four months ago, on his first day in the office, and who has turned out to be his best employee, has a way of getting under his skin like no other. He can’t seem to stop his dirty flirty mouth around her even though it could result in a sexual harassment lawsuit. She is smart, fiery, and not at all intimidated by him no matter how hard he pushes, and it drives him wild. But she is also young and works for him. His attraction to her is so wrong and problematic on many levels, and more so since he doesn’t do relationships.
Jane Garcia, twenty-four, was thrilled to start her first real marketing job, even if it meant leaving her small but tight-knit family behind in L.A. Her conservative Mexican Catholic upbringing left her with few complaints, but getting out from under her overprotective family is a good thing at her age. Jane’s new job proves to be exciting and confusing at first. Cool Credit, later renamed the 800 Club at Jane’s suggestion, is a tiny company that has just launched an app dealing with consumer credit, collection agencies, and personal finance. Jane immediately bonds with four women from work – Magnolia, Millie, Olivia, and Birdie – forming a circle of friends who encourage and support one another. When she shares that she has begun sending anonymous notes to her infuriatingly arrogant and cocky boss, her new friends lend their ears and offer their support. Tate Howard, who believes he is God’s gift to women, needs to be taken down a notch. Jane intends to be the one to do it.
Filled with hilarious banter and enemies to lovers tension, Tate and Jane’s kinky love story is light and playful (and incredibly steamy) for most of the book. However, underneath the surface sits a sad history that ended with years of pain for Tate. Behind the cocky Adonis’s exterior lies a childhood hurt that holds him back emotionally. Jane is attracted to Tate in spite of his immature and obnoxious behavior. Or perhaps it is because of it that she can’t get him out of her system, though his insensitive words and actions would drive most away. Her strength and steadfastness make her a perfect match to tame Tate’s impulsive behavior and be a salve for his conscience. In the end, Jagger becomes a new man and the couple finds happiness. It ends somewhat abruptly, but book three appears to pick up almost immediately afterward.
The use of political stereotypes as portrayed in the media may make some on both sides of the isle uncomfortable, as in reality most people don’t fall into extremes but are somewhere in between and for reasons other than simple bigotry. With patience, some light is shed on deeper underlying reasons that sadly personalize and give context to certain viewpoints. While I loved most of this book, this small part isn’t my favorite. In the end, though, it appears that this is used in part to expand the series.
Tate and Jane’s spicy enemies to lovers story a delightful read. It is nicely written. The plot is somewhat complex, with layers and revelations that maintain interest. The characters are colorful. Tate is fantastic in his absurdity and Jane’s intelligence and strength reflect her good upbringing. Her brother Marco’s story promises to be just as interesting in book three of the series. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Tate and Jane. I rate this book four stars.
I received a free advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

To My Arrogant Boss
I read this story in one sitting. Quick fun read. Story was well written, characters were hysterical. JS Cooper, she’s got another fun loving romance hit!

This is Tate and Jane’s story and it began with a mistaken identity and a lap dance. The chemistry between them is explosive even tho he was her arrogant boss and they were mortal enemies. Their back and forth banter will keep you in stitches. Tate was always ‘crossing the line’ with his suggestive comments. She was a virgin but had a lot of spunk and didn’t mind dishing it back to him. The book was well written with entertaining, likable characters. It grabs your attention right at the beginning and will keep you page turning. I read it in one sitting. Tate was the ultimate player and not capable of love, or so he thought. Jane turned his life upside down, she was his soulmate and the one who taught him to love. Plenty of family drama and some twists and an HEA. I read an arc an voluntarily chose to write a review.
Taming the beast
Good humorous, hot romance too, In which, I loves characters : Tate, the arrogant boss is perfect enough, in complete denial of his attraction as he wants to keep his immaturity, his untameable side, and Jane, his employee, is perfect and is the one who is teasing him all the time, but who at the same time says that she is making a huge idiocy, although she loves to torture him.
The story is very well written and it allows a better understanding of the two characters and ultimately to accept and appreciate Tate who at the beginning, has the talent of being hateful.
Tate receives an anonymous message informing him of his imperfections and the non-attachment that a non-admirer would have for him. He is not really disturbed by this note, but his interest is aroused for the person who could have written it.
However, he does not really know who it may be and he begins to respond.
The author of the notes is one of her employees, Jane, with whom he has had a rather disturbing first impression, and who has since found him unbearable with his smugness, rudeness and arrogance.
However, all their prejudices and against their reason, a strong attraction remains around two and we feel the sexual tension rised between them throughout the history, calling into question their convictions.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
I love this book. It even better the book #1. I love the chemistry between the characters and the banter between them. The book is well written and easy to read. I can wait for the rest of the series.
