Eager for a fresh start, Jazz McNally throws herself into renovating her grandparents’ mansion in time for the grand opening of the McNally Bed and Breakfast. When vandals strike, she accepts help from drifter Dalton O’Brien. Dalton is willing to lend a hand, until it’s time to move on. But when danger escalates, Dalton soon realizes that protecting Jazz is a threat—to his heart.
Graceful story of thoughtful admiring love!
Enough twists and turns to keep me reading off and on throughout the day! Characters are interesting and a few introduced but not not explained things led me to get the next book in the series.
A great love story with mystery and suspense that keeps you guessing. The book was easy to read and definitely a page turner.
Wonderful Lakeshore Romance
This is a sweet and clean romance that takes place on the shore of Lake Michigan. The plot is engaging with just the right amount of twists and turns. The characters are absolutely believable. The rest of the series should be just as good! I received this ARC book for free and this is my honest review.
This is a sweet romance between Jaz and Dalton who meet when she is renovating her grandparents mansion into a B&B. The author brings strong characters and weaves a story filled with drama , mystery and suspense along with the hot romance. Romance and suspense. Well done!
“To Love” is Laura Scott’s sweet story about Jazz, a young woman who is fixing up her grandmother’s property, to turn it into a “Bed and Breakfast” location. In addition to the demands of restoring the property, she is faced with recurring vandalism, without a clue as to who it is, or what is their motive. Out of the blue, a drifter named Dalton shows up in her life. Going on her gut intuition, she offers him a job as her handyman in the refurbishing project. It is win-win for both of them, or is it? He is trying to flee his former life, because he blames himself for the death of his wife and child. Meanwhile, Jazz is trying to forget the engagement that she broke when she realized the true nature of her fiance, as well as that of their relationship. Will Dalton and Jazz be able to heal from their respective pain? Will they get the “Bed and Breakfast” up and running? Will the police take her vandalism seriously and find the culprits? Will Dalton move on as is his new habit, or will he stick around and help Jazz, providing a good job for him and a stable friendship for them both? (Or more?) Good character development and writing. I will not give away spoilers, but I enjoyed this story and will be checking out more of Scott’s books.
Good read, great series
A drifter carpenter comes across a woman that is fixing up a mansion into a B&B. He helps her with construction & protects her from vandals. Tries to figure out who was doing the vandalism. Great story.
Enjoyed the story line showcasing how some life experiences can Be huge seed bumps in our moving forward with life
Outstanding great read. It is certainly worth reading. You’ll enjoy this book very much. This book should be at the top of your list. Love the forever ending.
Nice but a bit predictable.
A second chance for two people. Losing a spouse is tragic. Blaming yourself for your spouse and child’s death might cause a life of drifting, blame and no return from darkness. These two, Dalton and Jazz find something they share, renovation and construction as well as attraction and a future together. A sweet, heart- touching read.
also easy to read. no bad language
