Amazon Top 10 Bestseller!Jason Thorn… My brother’s childhood friend.Oh, how stupidly in love with that boy I was. He was the first boy that made me blush, my first official crush. Sounds beautiful so far, right? That excitement that bubbles up inside you, those famous butterflies you feel for the very first time–he was the reason for them all. But, you only get to live in that fairytale world … live in that fairytale world until they crush your hopes and dreams and then stomp on your heart for good measure. And boy did he crush my little heart into pieces.
After the stomping part he became the boy I did my best to stay away from–and let me tell you, it was pretty hard to do when he slept in the room right across from mine.
When tragedy struck his family and they moved away, I was ready to forget he ever existed.
Now he is a movie star, the one who makes women of all ages go into a screaming frenzy, the one who makes everyone swoon with that dimpled smile of his. Do you think that’s dreamy? I certainly don’t think so. How about me coming face to face with him? Nope still not dreamy. Not when I can’t even manage to look him in the eye.
Me? I’m Olive, a new writer. Actually, I’m THE writer of the book that inspired the movie he is about to star in on the big screen. As of late, I am also referred to as the oh-so-very-lucky girl who is about to become the wife of Jason Thorn.
Maybe you’re thinking yet again that this is all so dreamy? Nope, nothing dreamy going on here. Not even close.
To Love Jason Thorn is a full-length standalone.

Olive fell in love with Jason Thorn the moment they first met. For her, it was love at first sight, she was so sure he was the one she asked him to marry her but seeing as she was only 6 years old at the time, he just gave her a dimpled smile in answer. Over the years that followed her crush just grew for the boy who would become a part of her daily family life.
Jason lived across the road from the Taylor family and was best friends with Olive’s older brother. His family life was dysfunctional in comparison to the Taylor home and he spent most of his spare time in their home. When an awful tragedy happens in Jason’s family, his father decides to uproot him from the only place he has ever felt safe and move to another state. It would be the last time he sees the Taylor family for years.
Olive was devastated when Jason left their neighbourhood, over the years that followed, he still held a tiny piece of her heart. Olive has graduated from college and recently published her first novel. It was a labour of love and has been well received by readers. In fact, it has been so successful that it has been optioned for a film and snapped up. So yeah, this is a happening thing, her story is going to be made into a movie.
Olive is adamant that she is fully involved in the entire process, she doesn’t want her work to be changed to a point that it loses its true identity. Firstly, she will get to meet the suggested lead characters and is completely blind sided when Jason Thorn walks into the room. Shit, shit, shit! There is no way he will recognise her, it’s been years since they last saw each other. Jason is now a very successful movie star with plenty of adoring fans and deliciously hot.
Jason is thrilled to see Olive again, it is so good to see her and he wants to catch up on everything that has happened in the years that have passed. He has so many fond memories of the Taylor family and feels bad about losing touch with them all. Olive has definitely grown into a beautiful young woman and it feels so good to spend time with her.
When Jason’s playboy reputation threatens his career, his manager comes up with a plan to lift his public profile and that is how he finally gives Olive the answer to the question she voiced the first day they met. ‘Yes, I will marry you.’
This has been on my TBR for a while and after buying the audio book on sale recently, it became my 2nd lockdown listen of the week. I could not stop listening to this, I was completely invested in this couple and loved every moment of this story 🙂 The narration by Lidia Dornet , Sebastian York was perfect 🙂
It had been so long since I read a decent brother’s best friend romance, so needless to say I jumped into this book with a lot of excitement and many expectations —expectations that Ella Maise DEFINITELY fulfilled. Brother’s best friend AND marriage of convenience? Count. Me. In. Ugh… I dare you not to fall in love with Jason Thorn y’all.
Olive fell in love with Jason when she was just a child, from the first moment she set eyes on him. Jason was her brother’s best friend, so Olive was lucky enough to be around Jason quite often. Several years pass but with no luck: not only does jason view her as nothing more than his friend’s little sister, but her feelings for him won’t lessen either. Still, she held on to hope— until one day her dreams were crushed.
Not only did she have to let go of the idea of ‘them’ she had built in her mind, but she also had to see her lifelong crush, who had unwillingly hurt her, leave for another state.
She thought the chances of seeing him again in the future were slim, but boy was she wrong.
Fast forward several years later, Olive has taken a leap and published her first book —a bestselling novel that is also optioned to become a movie. She is nervous, out of her element, but crazy excited at the prospect of seeing her characters come to life in the big screen.
Want to hear the best part? The man that got the role as the male lead in the movie is no other than Jason Thorn. The boy next door. And now, one of the biggest actors in the industry.
It had been years since Olive last saw Jason, but one look at him and she knows that her feelings for him never disappeared, no matter how much she’d like that. She tries to act professional and keep her distance, but Jason will have none of that. The notorious and devilishly handsome actor keeps trying to get closer to Olive, and well… Little did he know it would get him in trouble.
So long story short, Jason had a… major playboy reputation in the industry and a recent ‘incident’ threatened to throw his career to the ground. So his PR team in order to avoid that, came up with the perfect plan: he ought to get married and fix his image.
And guess who the lucky bride is? That’s right, Olive. Some intimate moments between them were leaked to the press and made the public think that they looked hopelessly in love, so it was the perfect plan: nobody would doubt them.
As they spent more and more time with each other, the intense chemistry between them became undeniable. They were married and living under the same roof for the next couple of years so what would be the harm in enjoying each other company? It’s not like they’ll fall in love with each other or something… Oh well.
Ok this is a situation of i have had this book on my kindle forever and now just read it and i don’t know why the hell i didn’t read it earlier.
I absolutely loved everything about this book i loved Olive i loved Jason and the whole storyline this book was everything i love in a book.
This was brothers best friend, fake relationship, movie star story and i can’t think of anything i didn’t like, i loved how long Olive had been in love with Jason and the fact he really had no clue.
Olive was so sweet and such a lovable character with a best friend in Lucy i really loved everything about her, she questioned her relationship with Jason as any girl would and i love how she really wore her heart on her sleeve.
Yes Jason was a player but i love how blind and silly he was but i really liked him as a character as well.
Loved loved loved everything about this book and i can’t wait to get into Lucy’s book so excited for it
The power of Ella Maise’s words is indescribable.
This is the second book by Ella I have the immense pleasure to read and it didn’t disappoint me in the least.
To Love Jason Thorn wrecked me in a way I definitely didn’t expect, but I’m so glad I took the time to read this fascinated story from beginning to end.
“I never want you to feel someone else’s lips against what’s mine. I am it for you, Olive, the one, the right one-whatever you want to call it, I’m that”
My irresistible Jason. You are making this game where I have to choose my favorite male character of this 2019, a huge, HUGE challenge.
With absent parents, Jason finds himself alone from a young age, but thanks to his best friend Dylan and his family, he finds a place he can call home. However, life is tricky and soon Jason will learn that nothing last forever.
Seeing how Jason becomes the amazing character he is, was something beautiful. His ups and downs are a mere reflection of human nature. But the consequences of his actions are the main reasons for his career decline. Finding Olive, his best friend’s sister, is something he never thought was possible. Wanting to have her in his live is something he never expected. And love, is something he never saw coming.
“I love you, Jason Thorn”
It was as simple as that for our lovely Olive. I think having a crush is easy. As soon as you start to grow up, you forget it. However, when you fall in love, you don’t forget. That’s what happened to Olive. Jason became more than just a crush fro her, he became his inspiration and thanks to that, she finds herself with a huge opportunity for her career and a second chance for both of them.
I think Olive is my favorite character in the book. Following her dreams against all the odds is a clear prove of her strength. Getting out of your comfort zone can take you to places you never imagine before and I think that’s the most important message in this story. Without a doubt.
How not to love the writing, the sense of humor and the pace of this book. It felt very real and the characters had their own defined personalities.
I don’t see myself stopping here and I’m pretty sure I will love the next book of this author even more.
Such a great sexy read… Love the childhood friends/brother’s best friend story…. I absolutely adored Olive and Jason and their banter/relationship. I laughed… Swooned… Needed a fan and didn’t want this story to end.
Loved this story!
This was a really sweet romance. I love stories where the girl has a crush on her brothers best friend. I really liked that we got to see how Jason and Olive acted towards each other when they were younger. Olive was just the cutest/sweetest little girl falling in love with Jason when she was just 6 (almost 7). It was love at first sight for her. It was fun seeing how she interacted with him, telling him that he would always get the biggest slice of cake (giving him a piece that consisted out of 5 slices lol). She also asked him to marry her, she doesn’t play around.
After an incident Olive’s heart is broken and she gives Jason the cold shoulder. Then Jason leaves and they don’t talk to or see each other for 7 years. Jason is a big shot bad boy actor who has a bad reputation and is losing a lot of roles. I really loved their reunion and how sweet Jason still was towards Olive. I loved his pet name Little One a lot!!
I really enjoyed this book a lot. There wasn’t any unnecessary drama! I though wish the epilogue was a bit further down the future. I am curious what they are up to!!
Gah! I loved this book!
Olive told Jason the day she met him when she was 6 that they would get married. This started out as a sweet story with childhood friends. Then I was left a little heartbroken when Jason moved and they all lost touch. Fate had plans for these two.
10 years of him living the Hollywood lifestyle and her becoming an author. Brought together for a common goal.
I seriously could not get enough of this book! Jason is swoony and Olive was your average girl next door and exactly what Jason needed and wanted in his life. This book left me with a smile on my face and a book hangover for days!
This is a new author for me and I really enjoyed this book. I liked the story, the characters, it was fun and super hot. I thought Jason and Olive had amazing chemistry. I really loved Olive’s friend Lucy, she was funny. I’ll for sure check out other books by this author!
