There is a mystery as well as romance, someone is intent on bringing down Stephen & his family. We are introduced to the other London Lords – I can’t wait for their stories. Stephen & Caroline are delightful, their verbal sparring so entertaining & their attraction sizzling. The pace of the book led me to read it in a day, I found it very hard to put down & read until the small hours to finish it.
A great series opener & I so look forward to the other books in the series, if you love historical novels with a mystery too then I can highly recommend this book. I read it in an anthology but felt I needed to give it it’s own review
Witty banter, scorching chemistry, whodunit….oh my
Once again Nicola Davidson proves why her books stay at the top of my to be read pile. The witty banter between the H and I will have you smiling or laughing. The chemistry between the H and h keeps them coming back to each, even though, the road to romance is rocky. The mystery of who wants the hero dead will keep you on the edge of your seat. I will definitely be reading the next books in this series.
I received a free copy for my honest and impartial review.
I was firmly invested in this delightful story from beginning to end. Witty banter, suspense, a bit of mystery, revenge, deception and love brings forth a powerful and compelling. The characters are an absolute delight. Respect, love, and devotion makes the h\h same realistic and believable, although, at times they same to despite each other.
Well written, and fast paced. Book 1 of “The London Lords ” is a great beginning to what will lightly be a fascinating series. I loved how Ms. Davidison brought all the elements together to form a very climatic ending. A must read!
Fans of Recency, mystery, suspense, danger will definitely enjoy this story.
I can’t wait to read Book 2. While, not a cliff hanger, Ms. Davidson gives the reader a glimpse of what’s to come. Delicious, compelling, romantic and suspenseful with. A very entertaining read, the witty banter definitely added a element of surprise.
