I’m going to be completely honest, I cried a little bit when I started reading this read because I knew that it was the ending of a wonderful series but I’m also satisfied that the last two remaining brothers, Earle and Roscoe got their happy ending too!
They each met their match and soul-mate in two strong women who also happen to best friends. Each couple have to go through obstacles and situations that put their connection to one another to the test but they conquered and were able to live happily ever after <3
I was also so happy that Roscoe was able to reunite after so much time apart from his family 🙂 This was a great ending to an even greater series by the talented and incredible author, Esther E. Schmidt 🙂
Well she saved the best until last! Earle, who up until the last book really didn’t like bathing! And Roscoe who has been away from his family for so long that be isn’t sure if he is welcome any more. He is broken but Febe may just be the woman to quite literally shake him up.
Earle, well he is a hidden gem. Again, never judge a book by its cover. Once he sets eyes on Savvy, that’s it! Game over!
What a wonderful feel good series! Loved every one!!
To Live, To Love were great stories, well written with strong plots that were filled with many feelings, they’ll take you on an emotional rollercoaster. Earle and Savvy, Roscoe and Febe, they were strong characters, strong fierce women and strong yet sweet protective, possessive obsessive men.
The attraction was instant between each of the couples, their connection was strong and their chemistry was sexy and sweet. They were great together, completed each other.
These were great stories, it was a great ending to this series. I enjoyed it. I’d suggest reading it.
Thank you, Esther E. Schmidt. Great work 🙂
5 Stars!
I never want to say goodbye to a series, especially one I love. It’s hard when your excited but sad knowing this is the final in the series. Esther’s Swamp Head Series has always been a favourite of mine and getting 2 in 1 was a bittersweet and yet awesome feeling. The final 2 boys get their HEA even if there’s a few bumps in the road along the way, some bad guys, lives threatened and some smokin hot Swamp lovin thrown in. Great read by a great author.
This is the story of Earle & Savvy, Roscoe & Febe. I enjoyed all the characters & the story line, but felt like the ending of the first part was a bit rushed, and we miss out on getting to see Roscoe & Febe getting to know each other while they’re living together as she recoups. Overall it was a good, quick read, though! : )
I knew the end was coming for this series, but I’m still sad to see it end. I’ve been waiting for Roscoe’s story forever!
Savvy is on the run from something and someone who is making it known that her world is easy to infiltrate. She’s sent to another place to keep her safe and hideaway. On her way there, she has a few mishaps that leave her wandering about while trying to figure out what’s next. She didn’t expect Earle to be the knight to save the princess damsel in distress.
Earle has loved his life on the swamp his whole life. He’s from a big crazy family who makes life interesting, to say the least. He’s had some ups and downs but finally found some peace with his place in the world. Just when he thinks all is good and quiet, someone trips along his path that is need of help. A princess needing a knight to save her.
Together, they learn not only how this whole love at first sight thing really works but just how easy it is to feel like you’re finally home.
Febe has been on the path to be the savior for so many for a very long time. She’s been the confidant for a certain royalty forever it seems along with being the brave one to protect those ar4oudn her. Whether it’s out of love or a contract, being on the good guy’s side is all she’s ever known. When she has to step into yet another undercover role, she finds her match.
Roscoe has had enough of the law side of his life. He’s put his career before everything, separating himself from relationships in order to protect the innocent. His family being a big part of that, he doesn’t want his world crashing in on them. Just one more case and he’s done. He needs an out and a wrap up in this case fast. He never expected to find his match as well.
Together, they fight the good fight and ignite an unwavering spark between them. When it all crashes down they find out what it’s like to find their place in the world.
LOVED this book so hard!!! Another fabulous book from the author’s creative mind. Beautiful characters, sweet storyline then a more rough one made a balance that worked perfectly. In this one, we get a bit of the two sides of the author’s world mixed together. A sure winner!
This is amazing twofer!! The perfect kind for any reader. Two stories for the price of one. This is the last instalment of Swamp Heads. I wish it wasn’t true but it is.
To live is about one brother and a little lady who is on the run, but has been sent to this brother for safe keeping. But can she safe guard her heart from the family curse? Does she even want to, but her family obligations weigh heavy on her.
To love is the final story for the last brother who is also the oldest. He has led the life of a warrior, protecting his home and family. Doing the right thing even when it burns bridges and makes things tough for his family. Can he forgive himself enough to let his family heal him? Or will maybe his new lady friend help with that.
Esther has not disappointed us with the final story!
Esther has done it again!! This was the first series I read by Esther and she finished it off beautifully!! I’m so in love with this family and these two are no exception!! Roscoe and Earl both have spots in my Esther harem bus!!
To Live is Earle’s story and I adored it. Earle is a protector at heart and when he first meets Savvy he’s see’s what his family has been talking about. That love at first sight is real and he’s smitten from their very first meeting. He knows that it will take time taking it slow to get her on board but with a man determined it’s bound to happen.
To Love is Roscoe’s story and it’s fire from him and Febe’s first interaction which melted my heart and almost made me combust. The chemistry between the pair is undeniable an there is no hope that either will ever be able to let go. They are a force to be reckoned with and will probably bump heads a lot but in the end all’s fair in Love!
Oh wow! yet another awesome read from Esther, not just one story but two in this book. This ties up the Swamp Head series and boy will I miss these characters. Heavy and light, dramatic and fun all the way through the series has been a real mix of events and emotions, the last two stories are no exception. All the family have fallen fast and furiously at first sight, Earle, who has always been the gentle soul and teddy bear is suddenly all growly and possessive, I absolutely loved it. It had me smiling every time, he was also so accepting of everything as the truth came out, no blame. I found it to be a sweet read but still has the depth and interest, the I must stay glued to the pages feeling of all her books.
The second story is Roscoe and I think in a lot of us fan readers this is one we have all been waiting for and dreading at the same time, firstly waiting for, because Roscoe has been the illusive character heard of but not really seen, lost to his family due to his work, missed by them. Dreaded because I think we all knew the series was going to end with his story, as much as we wanted to hear it we didn’t want it to end. Well Esther did him justice, gave him the right woman for his needs and so much more. I am not going into detail or dropping any hints to spoil this, suffice to say I Freakin Loved It. Esther completely did it again and blew me away, outstanding book ending a fabulous series.
I’m sad that the Swamphead series has come to a end. Earle and Savvy’s story was really sweet and I love Earle. Now Roscoe and Febe’s was way different, I wasn’t a big fan of their story, I felt there was something missing or I just want more for Roscoe’s story. He was such a main character in the series. It still a amazing series. I so highly recommend., it’s really funny and hot with alpha male with big hearts and a loyal since of family.
It was truly hard to say good-bye to this family. I’m heartbroken but this book, these two brothers and their story, it was absolutely amazing!
If you have read this series, you know that Earle, in the beginning was a slob, never took baths until his new sister-in-law said she wouldn’t hug him until he took a bath! He has cleaned up his act and now, well he finds a beauty digging through his trash for something to eat. Surprise, she is there to find him! She’s lost everything and was scared, but Earle convinces her to come inside and get a real meal and even offers her clean clothes and a shower while her dirty clothes clean and dry. And coffee!!
She hands him a note from his brother telling her to find Earle. He would protect her. And the family curse hits him right in the heart and he knows, he will protect her and make her his because he has just met his soulmate. But she is hiding a secret, one that only his soon to be sister-in-law Laudy knows. And Savvy, well her secret is one that could end what is building between her an Earle. But when her best friend Febe shows up to take her back home to clear her baby sister’s name, she has only time enough to write a note to Earle to let him know she will be back. Febe see’s how her friend feels about Earle and is happy that she has found happiness her and calls Earle telling him that he has a certain amount of time to meet them at the private airfield and join them if he really cares about Savvy. Her secret is out and now she waits to see if her future with the man she loves will come to fruition.
When Earle slips Febe a note to give to Roscoe whenever she sees him, she jumps in feet first into the case that Roscoe has been working undercover on for some time. Walking into a biker’s bar, announcing that he is her old man, Roscoe has to prove that fact in front of everyone in a sexual way. He’s confused but the way her kiss affects him shakes him to his core…the curse! But he has a job to do and now he has to make sure that whoever this woman is, he needs to make sure she is safe as well..the she whispers that Earle says hi and he knows something is up. He also knows that this beauty stirs something inside of him and when they reach the clubhouse, they have to find a way for her to deliver a message from his boss…things are about to go down at the clubhouse and he has a very short time to find what they need to take this club down.
Rosco’s story ends the series and I absolutely loved how Esther brought the family closure. All of his siblings and his parents have welcomed him back with open arms except one, and that’s the one that ends the hard feelings and brings this family closure and back together. He’s missed this, he’s missed all of his family, and now with the help of Febe, he has what all of his brothers and sister have. I don’t want to say good-bye!!! I want more! The first book of this series was my introduction to this author and I have scooped up everything that she has written since that book. I loved this series hard, and I cannot recommend it highly enough!
I wish I could give it more stars. I was already looking forward to this book, but to get 2 in 1…. I could not put them down. I’ve loved this series from the beginning & I am sad to see the ending. But this author writes such great books that I know she has more great ones to follow this series.
Great ending!
I’ve wanted to know more about Earle and Roscoe for a long time now! Esther E Schmidt didn’t disappoint with these two stories! These stories are by far my favorite Swamp Heads! Once I started reading, I had to fight with myself to stop when life got in the way! I’m going to miss this series. I can’t wait to see what Esther gives us next!
** spoiler alert ** I absolutely loved seeing the last two brothers find their Happy Ever After. Roscoe definitely had a heart of gold under his tough exterior and I loved how there was more to Earle than what everyone though. Both women were perfectly matched for their man and it was the perfect ending to this series. Cannot wait for the next book this author writes!
Two Happily Ever Swamp Afters in one book!!
I have wanted Earle’s book so much and I am not disappointed at all. This story really drives home not to judge a book by it’s cover, that things are not always what they seem. The thoughts that Earle had made me giggle more than once. I get a pretty good idea of the kind of guy he is right from page one. I loved it and the fact that Roscoe knew just where to send Savvy!… and Roscoe’s story, sigh. The guy has given his all to his job and just wants to finish this last one and find some solitude but then the curse happens! What curse you ask? Well if you start this series from the beginning you will hear all about it and how it happens to each member of this unique family.
I think the author did a fantastic job with this series, each book connected but completely able to be a standalone and each one a different genre. Looking for some INSTAlove? head into the swamp!
I remember the first time I picked up this series. I was a newbie to this author and thought the warning on this series was a little strange. The idea that this series was about swamp men finding their loves, full of instant love and a unique language, gave me pause as to if I would really enjoy this series. It seemed too out here for me. I decided to give it a chance as I had really enjoyed the author’s other series. I am SO glad I did because there is something so unique, so wonderful and so heart felt about this family that I devoured each story with gusto.
This duet is a bittersweet ending for me as a beloved reader as it is both the perfect example of this series and contains the reasons why I fell so hard for this family (these men).
To Live: I have been quite intrigued with Earl for a while now. He was written (in the other books) as more aloof but in his story… yeah he might just be my favorite brother. I really feel like carving a heart in a tree with our initials. E + E = FOREVER!! Earl was so fun and sweet and he gives everything to his woman. The humor in this story was great and I enjoyed the sugary sweet dialogue (I snorted when I learned Earl’s nickname for his love). I could not have loved this story more! It is so very perfect!
To Love: Now, Roscoe has been a bit of an enigma for that past few stories. He was always there just on the outside and that made him a mystery. In this story I got the answers I was looking for and a kicka** heroine to boot. I loved the dynamics of the romance and the lines they spouted were priceless. As much as To Live was sweet and sugary this story was defiant and bold. I loved two hard personalities coming together (well as hard as this series will allow).
No spoilers here, but if you are a fan of this series this duet is a must read. I loved every page, every laugh and every swoon. I could not have chosen better books to end this wonderful series. I had the extreme pleasure to read an ARC and I am leaving my honest review.
I cannot believe the Swamp Heads are complete, I absolutely adore this family and hope u continue it with little Swamp head kids stories. Earle and Savy were sweet and meant to be. Holy hell Febe truly broke down Roscoe walls and eased his way back to the Swamp. A truly great end to a fabulous series.
What an incredible way to end this amazing series! Both these books/stories fit perfectly together. I was so happy that Earle and Roscoe finally found their soulmates. In the first part of the book Earle finally gets his happily ever after and boy do i love the things that came out of Earle’s mouth at time. “Great. Talk about farting the confidence right out of me” Died laughing after i read this!! Savvy was the perfect match for him and even though she was hiding something from him I completely understand her reasons. Plus I knew it would not stop Earle from being with the love of his life. Roscoe had always been a mystery to me throughout this series and I am so glad I finally got to read his story. Roscoe had in ways lost himself while working as an undercover cop. I felt for him especially how he thought he was not deserving of things. Can i just say when Roscoe and Febe first meet hot hot hot!! Febe was a strong woman who could relate to Roscoe and showed him that he is deserving of love and family. The way the book ended was brilliant and I loved how Zeke and Roscoe resolved their issues! I am sad to see this series end but what a great way to end it Esther!!!
I have enjoyed this series and this final novella was the icing on the cake for me! Love a series that tells a family’s stories. This last book tells Earle and then Roscoe’s stories. Never thought such an entertaining series would arise from the Louisiana swamps!
Everytime Esther writes I find a new BBF. No exception here, but now I can actually say Roscoe may be my favorite. I highly recommend this book and the whole series!
