Harper Lee’s Pulitzer prize-winning masterwork of honor and injustice in the deep south—and the heroism of one man in the face of blind and violent hatred, available now for the first time as an e-book. One of the best-loved stories of all time, To Kill a Mockingbird has been translated into more than forty languages, sold more than thirty million copies worldwide, served as the basis for an … enormously popular motion picture, and was voted one of the best novels of the twentieth century by librarians across the country. A gripping, heart-wrenching, and wholly remarkable tale of coming-of-age in a South poisoned by virulent prejudice, it views a world of great beauty and savage inequities through the eyes of a young girl, as her father-a crusading local lawyer-risks everything to defend a black man unjustly accused of a terrible crime.

Have we learned nothing?
A coming of age story that is over-sold. Not sure why people read it over and over. It is also ranked #1 in the GAR. Wow was I surprised.
Sad truth is times have changed very little.
One of the best books ever written
It was very well plotted and time fulfilling.
One of my all time favorite books. It remains on my shelf in paperback form as a remnant of my childhood. Harper Lee’s classic is brilliant and relevant to us all.

One of my all-time favorites!
This classic will make you question everything about trials and justice. The characters are unforgettable and the descriptions of that time and place are comforting, and haunting.
To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee is a heart breaking historical read. It is set in 1935 in America’s Deep South and can be seen as a social commentary on the time.
In spite of living in the land of the free where all men are supposed to be created equal, the novel highlights the racial prejudices, inequality and hatred that are deeply rooted in …
