Harper Lee’s Pulitzer prize-winning masterwork of honor and injustice in the deep south—and the heroism of one man in the face of blind and violent hatred, available now for the first time as an e-book. One of the best-loved stories of all time, To Kill a Mockingbird has been translated into more than forty languages, sold more than thirty million copies worldwide, served as the basis for an … enormously popular motion picture, and was voted one of the best novels of the twentieth century by librarians across the country. A gripping, heart-wrenching, and wholly remarkable tale of coming-of-age in a South poisoned by virulent prejudice, it views a world of great beauty and savage inequities through the eyes of a young girl, as her father-a crusading local lawyer-risks everything to defend a black man unjustly accused of a terrible crime.

I cannot add to the already wonderful reviews this book has received over the years. I first read it when it first came out and twice since, it is always fresh. It is simply a wonderful story about a time in America that we are still recovering from.
Great Read!
This is my favorite book by far. There are so many things I love about this book, from the trial of Tom Robinson to the mysterious Arthur “Boo” Radley.
Profound
This is one of my favorite books and one that I have read multiple times. The writing, the language, the characters, the plot — it all adds up to a true classic that everyone should read. It’s about a time not that long ago when things were very different than our world is today.
This book is and always will be my favorite of all the books I have read. The characters were so very adaptable to the people they portrayed. I wish I could get a copy of Harper Lee’s book that she wrote before Mockingbird.
It is about the end of innocence. The characters draw you in. I love this book
One of the best books ever written!
Another “classic” I had always wanted to read. Hands down, Harper Lee is the BEST writer I have read. She makes you feel as if you are a part of the character. Another book I could not put down. The sequel is equally good!
I like to read my favorite book around the holidays and even though it’s not “holiday” themed I enjoy it so much.
I love the Finch Family. I love the fight to right an injustice. And I enjoy the children’s perspective and Scouts relationship with her father and fascination with Boo Radley.
It’s such a great book!!
I think this is one of the most meaningful books written. The themes are still relevant ( some unfortunately) and a commentary on human interactions.
Its a beautiful classic that should be read by everyone. Its a beautiful story set in the 60’s. It is a wonderful mix of humour, mystery, morality, and most importantly highlights the racial discrimination in our society.
It held my interest from beginning to end. It taught about a different time in life which is becoming more like the world today
To Kill A Mockibgbird was close to my heart because I was a child living in an interracial household. The courage of Atticus was inspirational to me and taught me how to defend my interracial siblings with words vs violence. The inquisitive nature of Scout always amuses me because of her innocence and ignorance regarding racism. This book will …
Best book available. Definitely applicable for today. I will read and re-read this book
This book just spoke to me about the condition of our country. And about ‘fractured’ families. And the fact that there are people who are empathetic to the human condition. I loved the interaction between Atticus & his family. And what a purely righteous person he was. I would have loved to have him for a father.
Whenever I am out of new books to read I find myself reading this one again. This is a classic book with great underlying moral story. I always find something new each time I read it or interpret something a different way. If you are looking for a book that is easy to read, has a moral story and is set during that time when life was easy- this is …
I read this book when I was very young. I’ve read this book numerous times since then. I will reread it again and again.
Without doubt, To Kill A Mockingbird
I still recall reading this book the first time in the early 1960s. I know where I was when I read it. I can picture it in my mind.
My son was supposed to read this when he was in high school. The academic year ran out before the class got to read it. I made sure that he was exposed to it. We listened to the fantastic audio version (read by Sissy …
