Harper Lee’s Pulitzer prize-winning masterwork of honor and injustice in the deep south—and the heroism of one man in the face of blind and violent hatred, available now for the first time as an e-book. One of the best-loved stories of all time, To Kill a Mockingbird has been translated into more than forty languages, sold more than thirty million copies worldwide, served as the basis for an … enormously popular motion picture, and was voted one of the best novels of the twentieth century by librarians across the country. A gripping, heart-wrenching, and wholly remarkable tale of coming-of-age in a South poisoned by virulent prejudice, it views a world of great beauty and savage inequities through the eyes of a young girl, as her father-a crusading local lawyer-risks everything to defend a black man unjustly accused of a terrible crime.

To Kill A Mockingbird is an American Classic that is by far one of my all time favorites. Being from Alabama I thouroughly appreciate the amazing settings, characters, and imagery Lee paints. Her depiction of the ugly hate that filled the south in the 1930’s and beyond is brutally honest, as is the amazing love and devotion shown by Scout. This is …
Possibly my favorite novel of all time!
outstanding!
Classic story of old south coming of age.
It has to be one of my favorites. It could change our culture if everyone read it and took the message to heart.
This has to be one of the best books ever written. I read it in school many years ago and have read it several times since. This is a down to earth, realistic and gives you that good feeling throughout your entire your body. I highly recommend it to all genders and all ages old enough to read it.
One of the best books I have ever read.
A wonderful sense of place and time, childlike wonder, and innocence lost.
I reread To Kill a Mockingbird by listening to the audiobook. Narrated by Sissy Spacek and it was amazing. I highly recommend listening to this book. (And I listened to it at 1.25 speed…which I also recommend).
This book is an American Classic. It’s beautiful and genuine and real and significant and relevant. I connected today Atticus on a …
Fuck it
A classic for a reason.
A true classic that everyone should read and read again.
There is nothing really to add to what countless other gushing reviewers have already written. I consider it the quintessential American novel.
Provides lessons that need to be learned today
How can one say anything but high praise for this?
Favourite book of all time. If you only read one book in your life it should be this one.
I loved the plot twist in the end, (I won’t say the name) but I always believed a certain person was always good. It is just a very very very boring book. I do believe everyone should read this book, it is a very historical book about civil rights. It is a powerful book written in the mindset of a very very very little girl (Scout).
A classic that everyone should read!
America’s favorite novel.
One of my favorite books of all time!
