Harper Lee’s Pulitzer prize-winning masterwork of honor and injustice in the deep south—and the heroism of one man in the face of blind and violent hatred, available now for the first time as an e-book. One of the best-loved stories of all time, To Kill a Mockingbird has been translated into more than forty languages, sold more than thirty million copies worldwide, served as the basis for an … enormously popular motion picture, and was voted one of the best novels of the twentieth century by librarians across the country. A gripping, heart-wrenching, and wholly remarkable tale of coming-of-age in a South poisoned by virulent prejudice, it views a world of great beauty and savage inequities through the eyes of a young girl, as her father-a crusading local lawyer-risks everything to defend a black man unjustly accused of a terrible crime.

There is a reason this book is considered a classic. I have enjoyed it many times over the last 25 years.
This book brings to life a period time many of us can not even begin to know. It shows us different kinds of people and how they come together.
Beautiful story.
Loved the book
One of the best books I ever read with unforgettable characters. Haunting storyline that stays with the reader long after they turn the last page.
It is ashame that Lee’s lesson in this book needs to be taught again.
I’ve read this book several times and each time found something new to like about it.
It’s a classic for good reason. This is one of three of my favorite novels of all time. A powerful story with well-developed characters and a relevance that remains true today. This is a must read.
This is my favorite book of all time. Have read it three times. You will never read another like it. Characters are fully fleshed out, story is engrossing.
One of the best novels I have ever read!
Everyone should have read “To Kill a Mockingbird” in high school. Even if you did, it deserves another read. Society’s attitudes have changed since the writing of this book – more is acceptable/more is condemned. This story scratches at your morality. It is highly intelligent writing that hones the scenses
This a classic. Great read
This has been on my Top 5 list of favorite books since the day I read it (and the movie is equally good). The injustice at the center of the story is still prevalent today, unfortunately, but that shows how timeless and relevant the story still is.
One of the greatest books in American literature, and so important for beginning to understand our times.
I think everyone who has read this, and I don’t know anyone who hasn’t, would agree that this is one of the top three books they have ever read. Sometimes It just hurts your heart.
To Kill A Mockingbird is one of my favorite Classics. Have read and reread this book as well as watching the movie with Gregory Peck, which really kept to the book.
If you haven’t read this book yet, you should. A very moving and enlightening tale that will make it very difficult to put down. The characters are wonderfully fleshed out and …
one of the best books I have read.
I need to re-read this book. This book was very eye-opening to me and really should be on everyone’s read list.
A classic
It made me ashamed of myself and all other whites. I was only 19 when I read it and yet I was able to grasp its intent completely, even though there were very few black people in my hometown and no segregation to speak of.
TRUE CLASSIC – One of a kind
