Harper Lee’s Pulitzer prize-winning masterwork of honor and injustice in the deep south—and the heroism of one man in the face of blind and violent hatred, available now for the first time as an e-book. One of the best-loved stories of all time, To Kill a Mockingbird has been translated into more than forty languages, sold more than thirty million copies worldwide, served as the basis for an … enormously popular motion picture, and was voted one of the best novels of the twentieth century by librarians across the country. A gripping, heart-wrenching, and wholly remarkable tale of coming-of-age in a South poisoned by virulent prejudice, it views a world of great beauty and savage inequities through the eyes of a young girl, as her father-a crusading local lawyer-risks everything to defend a black man unjustly accused of a terrible crime.

I loved this book, mostly because of the depiction of the prejudice surrounding race in the courtroom. The book may follow a child’s view but faces big issues in the US.
A true classic! Humanity shown at its best and worst. This novel has changed our way of thinking about racial bigotry
and the meaning of justice. A timeless masterpiece.
Classic!
One of The Top One Hundred Classics
I Reread this classic, before seeing the play on Broadway.
Fantastic!
Harper Lee is definitely my favorite author. I was captivated by her style in writing. The story had my interest within the first paragraph. I love courtroom, attorney glimpses in the storyline. The bad guy getting caught and how he is caught is a true fascination and delight to me.
This is a great book in every possible way – entertaining, inspiring, angry; great characters, beautiful setting, powerful story. Highest recommendation. It’s tragic that Harper Lee wrote only one great novel – but WHAT a great novel!
It’s been a while since I read this book. But it’s good. I couldn’t out it down.
Best book I ever read

This powerful look at a different time will stick with me forever.
A true classical treasure.
This was part of my high school curriculum, and I remember not liking it. Looking back now, I was too immature for the messages contained within. Now decades later, I’ve reread it with the only memory of a girl named Scout and it’s about racism in the South. The 2015 release of Go Set a Watchman is what got me interested in it. Knowing that I …
Of course its a classic. You often wonder if those characters can be even close to real life and realize that of course they exist in many different people in many ways.
