Harper Lee’s Pulitzer prize-winning masterwork of honor and injustice in the deep south—and the heroism of one man in the face of blind and violent hatred, available now for the first time as an e-book. One of the best-loved stories of all time, To Kill a Mockingbird has been translated into more than forty languages, sold more than thirty million copies worldwide, served as the basis for an … enormously popular motion picture, and was voted one of the best novels of the twentieth century by librarians across the country. A gripping, heart-wrenching, and wholly remarkable tale of coming-of-age in a South poisoned by virulent prejudice, it views a world of great beauty and savage inequities through the eyes of a young girl, as her father-a crusading local lawyer-risks everything to defend a black man unjustly accused of a terrible crime.

A Classic. There’s a reason this is one of the favorite books of all time and taught in almost every English class in this country. There are so many lessons to be learned, in writing style, ethics, morals, culture. If you didn’t study it in school you’ve missed a true experience and MUST read it or your life won’t be complete.
We can all learn from each other.
A book everyone in America should read, and read again when race and prejudice rears its ugly head. This book will make you search your soul.
A classic to be read over and over.
This is a classic that everyone should read. It was a requirement when I was in school, and I’m so glad it was.
There is a reason this is a classic. Must read.
one of my favorite books of all time!
A trophy book
I recently re-read To Kill a Mockingbird and it had lost none of its charm and old South appeal. I loved the characters and was in suspense all over again near the end. Such a great book!
I read this book years ago and enjoyed the story and all the characters. It is realistic for its time.
A true classic that stands the test of time!
Such an important book!
Loved this book. An absolute classic for a reason and I recommend it to everyone who reads.
This book is definitely unique. It seems simple: the story of a widower raising his son and daughter in a small town. However, behind the obvious there is a narrative dealing with inequality, virtue, and judgement. We see Scout dealing with many issues from her teacher and maturing brother, to her own family and neighbors. This book was excellent …
By a landslide, this is my favorite book of all time. Now, it’s my favorite mostly due to nostalgia (I love a lot of books), but this novel shaped me at a critical time in my life. Therefore, favorite. I’m always surprised when I meet adults who’ve never read it. Scout is a fantastic narrator, and Atticus is my literary superhero. To Kill a …
TKM is my all time favorite read. I’ve probably read this novel over a dozen times. Harper Lee weaves a story so well. The characters are realistic. Harper Lee brings you to another time and place. Every time I read TKM, I pull something new from it. I consider this a must read.
This may be the great American novel. It should not only be read, but is good enough to re-read every few year. Don’t let the stupid, glitzy movies that have been made of it keep you from reading it. In a recent list of the 100 most influential and beloved novel, this book was number one.
A classic everyone should read at least once.
One of the best books ever written. Everyone should read this book more than once!
Best book I have ever read
