Harper Lee’s Pulitzer prize-winning masterwork of honor and injustice in the deep south—and the heroism of one man in the face of blind and violent hatred, available now for the first time as an e-book. One of the best-loved stories of all time, To Kill a Mockingbird has been translated into more than forty languages, sold more than thirty million copies worldwide, served as the basis for an … enormously popular motion picture, and was voted one of the best novels of the twentieth century by librarians across the country. A gripping, heart-wrenching, and wholly remarkable tale of coming-of-age in a South poisoned by virulent prejudice, it views a world of great beauty and savage inequities through the eyes of a young girl, as her father-a crusading local lawyer-risks everything to defend a black man unjustly accused of a terrible crime.

A can’t miss classic
Atticus Finch is Lawyer that is a single parent living in the south. His child was a girl, named Scout. The movie and book is a depiction of the struggles and adventures of summer vacation for a schoolgirl in a time of segregation. Scouts father, Atticus, won a case for black rights.
One of my favorite books I have ever read. I’m sure I had to read it in middle or high school but I truly didn’t remember it at all. When I finally read it willingly a few years ago I wanted to read it again. Scout along with her brother Jem, and visiting neighbor Dill, are delightful characters that show the innocence of children. Atticus’ …
May be relevant to the looming state of our country, as coming events cast their shadows!
I read this book because its one of those book people say needs to be read or they say they read it and really haven’t. I no longer wanted to be part of the later. I’m not going to say this was the favorite book or that I understood everything that had happened. The lessons hidden in the lines of the story. Because I most certainly didn’t. The …
The audible version read by Sissy Spacek is amazing!
This is one of my favorite books of all time. It illuminates life in a small town where racial imbalance causes tragic endings. I think anybody who truly reads and understands this book will come away is a better human being.
A Classic- a must read for anyone living today!
Another of my favorite books! Some parts are hard to read because of the topic, but sadly necessary. This is another book that I go back and reread every 5 years or so.
My absolute favorite book. The characters are wonderful and the story of the South and prejudice toward a black man is told in a way that is so moving. The children’s relationship with their father is also special and life lessons are taught to them.
It is one of my favorite.
One of my best reads ever; you won’t be disappointed—each character is unique and fully developed; the language of the period and local is a joy to your ear.
