Highly entertaining! I love the concept. I’m on book 3 now and it just gets better!
I loved this book! I was not expecting the blend of fiction and Asian practices, but it was so skillfully and seamlessly done that I found myself devouring this book rapidly. There were a few editorial issues that need addressing, and as a grammar Nazi, I found these forgivable, the book was THAT enjoyable. I cannot wait to read the other books in this series. Kudos to the author. You have a new fan!
Terrifically good writing.
It was slow but I’m glad I stuck with it. Book #2 was better!
Fascinating use of author’s degree in Zoology to make her characters so realistic while stretching the reader’s imagination. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
The whole Series so far was a great read can’t wait to see more
Can’t wait to read more in this series.
very good read
Loved this fantasy world.
This is the best series I have read since David Eddings’ Midkemia series. Absolutely incredible world-building, amazing character building, and plot twists to make a corkscrew shudder.
Very original. At first I didn’t think that I would like it, but it wasn’t long before I was not only comfortable with the “world” but wanted to learn more about things. I really like the characters. I can’t wait for the second book to come out digitally so I can get it on my Nook. If you have the opportunity to read this book, I definitely recommend it.
I love the little glimpses that make you ‘feel’ that you know what’s happening. The twists and turns in the plot keep you wanting more!
Great read. Can’t wait for the next in the series.
Really loved this book. I could almost see the places and colors. Can’t wait to read the next one.
Well worth every mimute spent in the reading.
Kept me up reading late! Great characters! Important explorations in prejudice and personal empowerment! Enjoyed and wanted more!
Loved the crazy premise of this story. Got this as a free download and ended up buying the next two books since I was hooked. The author definitely slow plays you on some details and then surprises you with some neat twists. I enjoyed it!
Can’t wait to read the next in the series!
I’m up to book 4 in this series and have enjoyed every minute of the first 3.
Great reading. Kept me interested all the way through. Good reading for someone who wants something different
