“You think I’m ready to ruin you forever?”“Oh, Ireland… You’ve already ruined me forever.”I’ve been called the Black Sheep. Troublemaker. And probably a dozen other words that are nowhere near that nice. My past is checkered. Full of questionable choices and even worse outcomes. But I’ve put it behind me. I’m on the straight and narrow now.For two years, I’ve towed the line. Stayed out of … the line. Stayed out of trouble. Kept my head above water. And have not made even one reckless decision.
But then Snow came to River Canyon on the first day of winter.
Inked, pierced, and unafraid of speaking her mind, and going after what she wants, she made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. Together, I knew we would make a mess.
I just couldn’t keep myself from getting dirty.

This new author is one to watch! I loved this book. Ryan and Snow were so unique and I loved how Kelsey Kingsley made “different” a good thing. Together, they made the perfect pair.
Ryan and Snow . What a story. I’ve cried and laughed and I felt their love. Amazing.
The story of two people who thought they were broken and couldn’t be loved or love anyone else, met and they were so captivated by each other that no thing else seemed to matter. On the first day of winter they met and for the next year they found love and happiness. Must read to see how it all ends.
Oh Wow I’m so falling in love with this author. Ryan and Snow oh man what can I say about them they were just a perfect match. Snow definitely push Ryan to the capacity that he thinks he doesn’t have and Snow she was just that perfect woman Ryan needs in his life. And to hear from Paddy too it was just an amazing read now I can’t wait for the last of the Kinney brothers love the little sneek peek we have of him.
An unconventional love story about two very unique young people. Ryan is going on two years of living a boring life after too many mistakes, too many disappointments and one too many ex-girlfriends. It all comes to an end when winter starts and Snow arrives. She is an enigma, unpredictable, quirky, alluring and quickly becomes Ryan’s fascination. She keeps her own story to herself, and most of the story revolves around Ryan and how he is evolving. We get to visit with his brother Sean and Patrick plus Kinsey and Meghan. Love the Kinney brothers and their antics!
This is not the same old standard love story following the formula that most books adhere to. Kelsey’s writing continues to amaze me with how the story can ebb and flow in such a poetic still. “Maybe that’s all any relationship was, I thought: finding a flavor of insanity to complement your own.” I adore Ryan and Snow and how their story unfolds. Well done Kelsey, looking forward to more from this family.
Ryan meets Snow and there is an instant attraction. They have both been through a lot in the past so they are doing things their way. Can they be together? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing Book
Kelsey Kingsley’s To Fall for Winter (Kinney Brothers Book 2), Ryan and Snow’s story, is about love and acceptance told entirely from Ryan’s point of view. A sweet, romantic story about two people who always felt like misfits discovering that they belong together.
“My type of crazy. I considered the idea that I could have a type of crazy, a type of not quite there. . . . Maybe that’s all any relationship was, I thought; finding a flavor of insanity to complement your own.
And maybe Snow was mine.
No … I hoped.
I hoped she was mine.”
I mean… I loved this book so hard, I don’t even know what to say about it beyond YES. Kelsey Kingsley writes the most exquisitely fantastic characters, I wish I could be transported into her books so they could all be my best friends. This book blew me out of the water. It was written beautifully, the story really moved me, and I completely fell in love with the Kinney brothers all over again. Absolute perfection.
Right at the beginning Ryan was breaking my heart! He just seemed to be on a path that was not going to bring him to happiness! And then he met Snow! Talk about OTP!!! I dont think they could have been more perfect for each other. She literally only knew him for a couple hours and she seemed to know exactly what he needed! But we cant have a story that has no issues in it! So they had a fight. And then my heart broke some more! This was a great story about 2 people who both thought that they weren’t good enough for anyone, and they found each other! The insecurities on both sides play a part in their issues, so they will have to find a way to work through them together! I really enjoyed this book…. I cant wait to read more about this crazy Kinney family!
Ryan and Snow
Kelsey Kingsley is such an amazing and talented author. Her romances are raw, real, and emotional, and there is so much depth to her characters. In this second Kinney Brothers novel, I have come to love Ryan and Snow, just as much as I love Patrick and Kinsey from Book One. My heart swelled and hurt so much for Ryan who saw himself as nothing but a disappointment. Then he meets Snow, a woman who spent so much of her young life with a man who was only concerned with himself and his needs. With Ryan, she truly sees him and the man he really is, not as a project that needs to be fixed. To Ryan, Snow is a wintry breeze in a sexy, “say what you will” pint-sized package. LOL!
I love Ms. Kingsley’s writing. It’s spell-bounding, so beautiful, and makes me feel so much for these two characters. Here’s an excerpt from two of my favorite scenes:
“I thought for a minute that I was looking at her soul, and it was comfortable and warm. Like coming in from the freezing cold, and I swore I felt the feeling of pins and needles pass through my fingers and toes as I thawed out. A heavy breath passed between my lips. The rest of my self-doubt, self-loathing . . . It left my body, left my lungs, and the air I breathed was clean. Fresh.
‘You just fell in love with me.’
Her quiet voice pulled me from my world within her eyes, and I saw her face. Her soft pink lips, her white skin. I cleared my throat. ‘How can you even know?’
‘Because I let you in.’
. . .When her eyes finally looked up to mine, allowing me into that wintry world of ice and cozy warmth, I settled in, smiling. Mentally wrapping myself in the blanket I kept there, next to the fire I had built, embracing all of the chaotic unpredictability of being in love with her. That was being with winter. My kind of crazy.”
Wow. Just wow. Both of these characters have troubled pasts and have made a lot of mistakes. What I loved most about Ryan and Snow is that they were able to look past what others see as different, or crazy, if you will, and just accept each other just as they are. Another great book by the awesome Kelsey Kingsley.
Ryan Kinney……
Is that too many hearts???? No I don’t think it is! Again….my BBF’s list continues to grow.
Ryan owns my heart after reading his story..and I just love his cats!!!!! My heart was just sad for him and how he felt his life was just going nowhere…….then she walks into his life….Snow
Snow…wow! I want to be like her!!! Such a strong, independent and determined woman! She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it…..or him
To Fall For Winter was such an amazing story…..two people who haven’t had to best of luck…..but that’s about to change…..luck of the Irish is on their side.
Must #oneclick!
This is a beautiful story of love, acceptance, redemption, and taking chances. I love the name Snow and she is a fun character to follow, saying just what she’s thinking, and she’s just what Ryan needs to bust him out of his slump.
I loved Ryan and Snow’s story! It is the second book in the Kinney Brothers series, and I jumped into it right after finishing the first one. I loved that it was completely different while also being just as well-written. Kelsey Kingsley has an amazing writing style – it’s lyrical, pulls you into the story, and flows so naturally. Without a doubt, I have found a new author to add to my favorites list! In this story, she expresses how important it is to not let what you think others are thinking of you hold you back from what you want in life, to be true to yourself, so that you can truly be happy. I am so glad that I read it! I am looking forward to more in this series to come!
What a wonderfully romantic story about two people who see themselves as outsiders, who aren’t looking for love, finding something they never dreamed of! Everything about Ryan and Snow is unconventional.. from the way the meet to the way their relationship just seems to naturally falls into place. Both have things in their past that they are trying to run from, but somehow they understand each other in a way no one else would. I absolutely loved their story, and I love following the lives of the whole Kinney family. I’ll be (im)patiently waiting for the next one!
I’m loving these Kinney Brothers!! Ryan and Snow are each fascinating characters on their own, but together they are compelling. Kingsley tells their story with compassion and honesty using clever words in a lyrical style that makes this book impossible to put down.
I absolutely recommend this book, but especially to anyone who has ever been made to feel “less than,” anyone who has struggled to meet their potential, and everyone who likes to root for the underdog.
This is a story about real people who believe themselves to be outcasts and that they need to change who they are to be accepted. Ryan has made poor choices in his past, and he needs to learn to accept the assistance and support from his family. Snow is new in town. She is a tattoo artist and had succumbed to a relationship where she was the other woman only to find it not going anywhere after seven years.
Ryan is attracted to Snow from the moment he sees her. She is strong and beautiful and takes over his world in a way only Snow could do. The two have what some would call, an unconventional relationship. But it’s all theirs, works for them, and they find they fit together perfectly.
This was a fast moving, funny, yet thought provoking novel. It is beautifully written and you won’t be disappointed. Kelsey Kingsley is a new to me author, but after reading this stand alone, I will be going back to read Patrick’s story, and looking forward to Sean’s!
I was provided with an ARC of this book and I am providing my honest review.
Well, I have a confession to make… A few weeks ago, I fell in love with patrickinney I didn’t think I could love the Kinney’s more than when I finished One Night to Fall, but then along came Kelsey with Ryan and Snow’s story. While this is book 2 in the Kinney Brothers series (and can be read as a stand alone), I wouldn’t recommend reading it without first reading One Night to Fall as I think you’ll lose out on part of the charm of River Canyon and the Kinney clan.
To Fall for Winter, is the fast moving, funny, raw story of Ryan and Snow. “Two unconventional people, trying to sprout wings in a world of people wanting them to change.”
On the outside, Ryan is the ultimate bad boy. He’s tattooed from head to toe with dark hair and a beard, he drives a motorcycle, and he’s even been arrested, twice! But under the surface lurks unexplainable sadness, insecurity, and heat. After a life of screwing up for no good reason and his last relationship ending abruptly, Ryan is broken. He feels like he just doesn’t belong anywhere…
Snow is tiny, beautiful, tatted and pierced, sassy, and secretive; one might even describe her as an icy goth goddess. She’s new to town and for seven years was the “other woman” in what turned out to be a dead end relationship with a total jerk. She hasn’t gotten close to anyone in the last two years for fear of being hurt again…
Barely in town one day, Snow walks into the vet clinic where Ryan works mistaking it for the tattoo shop conveniently located next door. Against his better judgement, one look at the gothic princess and Ryan’s world is completely turned upside down. After an almost instantaneous declaration of “like” for each other, Snow walks out the door remaining a mystery just a bit longer.
As we dive a little deeper, it turns out, under their tough exteriors both Ryan and Snow know a little something about wounded hearts, stormy pasts, and feelings of not fitting in… The thing is, each is perfectly flawed in their own way and as unexplainable as their instant connection is, they do fit somewhere. They fit perfectly together in their own unique love story.
Kelsey is my latest author obsession and this book, y’all! If there were ever a book family you wanted to know in real life, it’s the feckin’ Kinney’s! ALL.THE.FEELS! Download this book and read it immediately! (I signed up to receive this book as an ARC for my fair and honest review with no expectation of giving a favorable review nor promise of compensation from the author.) Kelsey’s beautiful writing, interesting characters, and their unconventional love story earn To Fall For Winter 5 stars from me.
Word to the wise: DO NOT miss out on the bonus epilogue… It’s so, so good! The story was complete but of course any great book leaves you wanting more, and in the bonus epilogue KK rewards us with just a little bit more Ryan and Snow and a whole lot more of those FEELS I was talking about earlier. Enjoy it, I know I did!
I thought I Loved Patrick “patty” Kinney but Hello younger brother Ryan “Ireland” Kinney!
Ryan oh Ryan. He has a sweetness to His harden shell that We can’t help but fall in love with.
Tattooed, flawed dog groomer Ryan who is the black sheep of His Irish family.
Tattooed badass, sassy, always speaks Her mind, Snow recently moved to River Canyon.
What happens when the 2 black sheep of the Their families meet due to a simple mistake?
Undeniable sparks!
No one can understand the way that these 2 understand each other.
No one understands what these have went through except for each other.
No one can love each other as well as these 2 flawed humans.
In the end nothing is perfect not even these 2 but love conquers all as we learn in the epilogue.
I can not wait to hear more about the newest married Kinney’s!
This was an unconventional book about two unconventional people, and I loved it. Ryan and Snow may not have had a “normal” relationship, but it worked for them. I even loved the cats! It was great getting to read more about the Kinney family and can’t wait for Sean’s book.
I fell hard for Ryan Kinney in this story. Snow was the perfect complement for this reformed bad boy. I loved how they came together, even if it was quite quick and rushed, because it was just so them.
The writing is great, the story well crafted. I only wish we had gotten more of Snow’s story, whether that be from her own POV or just more details of her past.
I loved the ending and can’t wait for more about these brothers.
To Fall For Winter – this book has ALL the feels!!! Are you looking for a hot tattoo’ed hero who is vulnerable and compassionate? Ryan Kinney is your guy!! Are you look for a fierce independent tattoo’ed heroine who goes after what she wants? Snow is your woman!! Ryan and Snow don’t have a conventional love affair – like I said Snow knows what she wants and goes after it. I love the Kinney brothers!!
This book is seriously tattoo’ed in my heart!!!
