After months spent in hiding, Princess Holly is finally ready to take her rightful place as ruler of Atharia. All she has to do now is survive her murderous uncle’s attempts to steal the throne for himself. But when a mysterious gentleman washes up on the shores of her beach, she’s shocked to realize she needs his help almost as much as he needs hers … his plan was to escape the arranged marriage, his scheming father brokered for him. The storm that nearly killed him was not part of the plan. Neither was meeting her. Holly is everything he ever wanted, and he will do anything to keep her safe and get her home—even if doing so means he’ll be forced to let her go forever…
A union between a princess and a lowly future duke is forbidden. But as intrigue abounds and their enemies circle, will Drew and Holly defy the obligations and expectations that stand between them to take a chance on love? Or is their happily ever after merely a dream?

I absolutely loved Holly and Drew’s story!! Holly Crown princess of Atharia is hiding from her uncle whose trying to “rid” her so he can take the crown! Drew sailed off to run away from an arranged marriage to his childhood friend.. He meets Holly when she found him laying in the sand after his sail got destroyed at sea… Through trials and stubbornness they both fall in love! Love Tamara’s work!!
Wonderful, Entertaining, Angst & Romantic
An Absolutely Wonderful & Delightful Story. I enjoyed reading this book.
The H&h’s characters toward the end was a bit to much for me.
A wonderful twist brings this story to life as two people, unlikely to meet, find themselve brought together in an unexpected way!
Princess Holly was in hiding, fearing her uncle would try to prevent her from taking the throne in a few weeks. Drew, Lord Balhannah, was running from his father, who would force him into a marriage he did not want. Oh yes, a tale too great not to love!
Holly finds Drew washed up on shore unconscious, not remembering who he is or how he got there. She takes him back to her small estate to help him and make sure he is not one of her uncles henchmen… After he fully awakes though he does remember and finds himself in the presence of a beautiful woman, who is to take over as ruler to her country, Atharia, if she can survive her uncle’s attempts on her life.
Adventure, danger and a sizzling attraction bring the couple together, but will she survive and if so will the difference in their class be their undoing? Simply awesome!!
Simple, easy read
To Dream of You was a wonderfully woven story filled with romance, action and sexy scenes. A real delight to read with Holly and Drew both being such strong characters. Holly definitely took the lead in the story as it really was all about her being the royal princess and getting back to Atharia to become Queen. Drew really was along for the ride, he couldn’t really help it as he fell in love with Holly almost immediately. Their journey to their happily ever after was well worth it.
Drew gets a message from the woman his father wants him to marry. She and her family are on their way to visit and she wants him gone. She doesn’t want this marriage either. What else is Drew to do, but leave. But what he doesn’t count on is taking his boat and encountering a storm and lands him almost dead.
Holly is in hiding. She is the rightful heir to the Atharian throne, but her uncle would like for that never to happen. When Drew washes up on the shores of the place she is hiding, she doesn’t know whether her uncle has sent him or not.
Holly soon realizes that she has nothing to fear from Drew….other than losing her heart. Can Drew help to keep Holly safe long enough for her to claim the throne? Tradition states that the monarch must marry another royal. After all they have gone through together, will they both end up with a broken heart?
I really enjoyed Drew and Holly’s story. I loved that Drew jumped right in to help Holly even before he really knew her. It showed what type of person he was. And a princess on the run! This definitely showed that Holly could be a strong leader, because we know that she would have been raised as a pampered lady in the palace. This was a great start to a new series and I can’t wait to see what Gill has in store for us.
Holly just has to foil her uncle’s plans to dispose of her, attain her 21st birthday and claim her throne. She knows her future marriage will be to someone of royal blood who can help her protect her beloved country but she has never before been with someone who treats her like a woman, rather than a Royal.
I loved the turn around of roles, with Holly being the one with the weight of responsibility, power and expectations, and the hero being the love-lorn unsuitable suitor.
Received from the author in a Facebook competition. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Holly is a princess hiding from her evil uncle until her birthday when she can inherit the throne of Atharia. Drew Meyers is shipwrecked while running away to avoid marrying some one he does not love, and who does not love him (he is running at her request). They are quite attracted to each other, but a romance, and certainly a marriage may be impossible. Drew is a Marquess, but he may still be beneath Holly’s station. Their story is an adventure to thwart her uncle, claim her birthright, and find their HEA. There are interesting characters to help and hinder their goal. An exciting story with likeable characters make this a wonderful beginning to a new series.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Another great story!
Princess Holly is in mourning (her father passing), and her Uncle is hunting her. She came to London for a season before she turns 21 and becomes Queen. Her younger sisters are waiting for her at home back in Atharia. Now she is on the run and hiding for the next few weeks at a friends estate. She can then take her place once she turns 21 and oust her Uncle.
Drew the Marquess of Balhannah and future Duke, is running away, just for a few days. His father is trying to get him to marry a woman, who is in love with someone else. She begs him to leave to give her more time to elope with her lover. He ends up on the shores of the estate where Holly is hiding. From there the two grow close, dodge some cutthroat killers and come up with an outrageous lie to keep Holly safe. The lie….they are married and now are hiding at Drew’s family home. Once she can quietly arrive home there is where she says her goodbyes to Drew.
Well one problem they both fell in love. Now Holly must make a Queenly decision that will affect her kingdom!
A princess in hiding and a future duke meet quite unexpectedly. They find themselves in a situation with no easy answers. Drew is running from a planned marriage and Princess Holly is running for her life. An excellent start to this new series.
This is about a Princess who is in hiding from her uncle who is trying to kill her before she comes of age to become Queen of Atharia. She meets Drew and is on guard thinking her uncle has sent him to kill her. As she gets to know Drew she realizes that he’s an honorable gentleman and only has her best interest at heart. Soon they discover a passion that can’t be denied but Holly is going to be Queen of Atharia and Drew is going to be a Duke which is below her station. Will she follow her heart or will her duty to her country come first. You’ll have to read the book to find out. You will definitely love this book and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
I was given an ARC of the book for my honest opinion which are my own.
WHAT AN AMAZING WAY TO START A NEW SERIES!!!! To Dream of You by Tamara Gill is book one in her new series The Royal House of Atharia. If you like princesses, queens and dukes (what girl doesn’t) you are going to love this book. Tamara never disappoint and this book what so very well written. This story is Fab-u-lous!!! Tamara is defiantly one of the best authors that I have ever read and I truly mean this. Her characters are wonderful, the story original and descriptions that take you into another world. Oh Sigh! This story has a princess, a duke with a reputation, rescue, attempted murder, an evil uncle, a loving father, hiding, building an army, a fake marriage, loving sisters, wanting what you can’t have and yes, love. I highly recommend you read this book. It’s Great!!!
***This book was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.
Ahhh…this is such a sweet story. Drew is adorable and Holly is so cute and together they are that couple you think will always be touching and looking at each other. I am usually into books that are about royalty in made up countries but this story was so nice. It was just the thing for a low angst read.
I received a complimentary copy from the author.
Another great book by Tamara Gill. This one is about Holly, soon to be Queen of Atharia, who is hiding in England as her uncle is trying to kill her. Lord Drew Balhannah “runs away” from home as he is not interested in marrying the women his dad (a duke) wants him to and washes up on the shores of where Holly is hiding out. Holly needs to marry royalty not a mere duke’s heir. But first Holly has to stay alive long enough to make it home. Can Drew get her there and will they cave in to their attraction to each other. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series. I received this book for free for my honest opinion.
I did like the character of Drew, Lord Balhannah, he was handsome and had a reputation of being a rake but more importantly, he could be caring and protective. Princess Holly of Atharia, was a lady with a purpose, to claim the throne that was her entitlement. Holly was concerned for her sisters and her people. She hadn’t planned on having a relationship with Drew and she was destined to marry someone of royal blood. Drew had never felt this way with another person before. This was an entertaining read with elements of danger, passion and some heartfelt moments. I’m looking forward to reading the next in he series.
What a great delightful way to start a new series.. I thoroughly enjoyed Holly and Drew’s story.. I was only hoping for more of a mysterious end.. Since we had an evil uncle etc but other than that I enjoyed the story/ending all the same.. I look forward to the next book book in this series
Escaping his father’s plans for his marriage, Drew never thought he would be washed up almost dead on an unfamiliar beach, nor find himself embroiled in royal intrigue. Rescued by Princess Holly of Atharia, Drew is drawn to her but fully understands that there is little to no hope for any form of a relationship with her, given her royal title. Nevertheless, Drew quickly comes to the realisation that Holly’s life is at risk and he joins her bodyguards in keeping her safe. When the attack comes, it is Drew who finds her and keeps her safe, eventually escaping with her to his father’s estate. The story is adventurous, romantic, and fast-paced. Despite her role as heir to the throne, Holly is a practical and caring person and finds in Drew a man who is concerned for her well-being and is not scared to show his feelings for her. Drew is light-hearted by nature and despite his reputation as a rake, he does have morals, which ultimately leads to Holly questioning his feeling for her. This is the first book in the series, but it is nevertheless a standalone and comes to a happy and successful conclusion. I received a copy of this novel as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Princess Holly Devereux is in hiding from the uncle who wants to kill her with her royal guards are working as her staff. One morning she encounters a virtual stranger washed up on the shore of an estate she’s hiding at. She brings him back to the English estate and discovers he’s a friend of the owners. Drew Myers is escaping the marriage his father has planned for him when he finds himself half dead wash up on shore with a mysterious woman his rescuer. He finds himself intrigued by the beautiful mysterious Holly and decides to help keep her safe until after her birthday so can return to her country. Holly has never met anyone quite like Drew, he’s a nobleman but not of royal blood and she knows she can never marry him. But the heart has a mind of its own as these two discover. I love their romance as they navigate through the sizzling passionate encounters, dangers and assignation attempt on her life. I have voluntarily read and reviewed this excellent book.
This was a great read that captured my heart. I really loved Holly and drew. I thought that they were wonderful characters that were easy to feel and root for. The attraction and chemistry they shared was intense and palpable. The story held my attention well and I found myself completely invested in this fiercely fighting against the odds couple. This book seriously tugged on my heartstrings. Each of these characters has their own drama they are dealing with, so the very last thing they want or need is to fall in love and in my opinion, that just makes when love finds them all the sweeter. This is my frank, freely posted review.
Tamara Gill does it again, she has created a wonderful new series if this first book is an indication. This book is about Holly who is a Princess hiding from an evil Uncle who wants to kill her before she becomes the Ruler of Atharia. Drew is a Marquess who is hiding from an arrange marriage which he and his promised bride to be do not want. They meet when Drew is hurt, and Holly helps save him. Now Drew will protect Holly. This story has love, adventure and an evil villain. I can not wait to read more books from this series.
I received a free ARC copy for my honest opinion.
