Her new client was her high school crush. His new etiquette coach is the girl who got away. But giving things a second chance is against the rules.
Pippa found her way back to believing in true love after healing from a broken heart. But that’s in the past and she’s an independent, capable, modern woman. She certainly doesn’t need her parents meddling in her love life and trying to marry her off. … off. She can do it herself. Working as an etiquette coach puts her among the social elite, including some promising prospects.
Chase Collins, the Boston Bruiser’s quarterback, gets a lot of flak for his perpetual bachelorhood, but he doesn’t want to settle down until he finds “the one.” After a team prank goes awry, landing him in trouble, he’s sent for etiquette coaching. But that’s the least of his problems because a family feud comes between him and the game.
Pippa and Chase unexpectedly meet again at a social function and their respective parents play matchmaker, urging them to say, “I do.” As it turns out, she’s his new etiquette coach and dating is off-limits. A major problem since they can’t deny their feelings for each other.
Her solution: find him a replacement fiancé. His solution: prove to Pippa that he’s changed and not the boy she once knew. They’re both stubborn and want to find love on their own, but what if their parents are right and they’re meant for each other?
This is book 3 in the Football Billionaire Playbook Romance series. Each book stands alone but reading them in order provides a deeper, richer experience. It is a sweet, “clean and wholesome” romance without swearing or mature content and contains a HEA. If you like faith-friendly, heartwarming, Hallmark-style romance, you’ll love this feel-good series.

This story was a delightful juxtaposition of awkward YA romance to sweet adult romance. It also covered the bases of brother’s best-friend and enemies to lovers, with a hint of mystery.
Chase, is the good-boy of football with just a smidge of a bad boy reputation (proving even one or two thoughtless choices can affect the perception one might portray to others).
Pippa has always struggled with seeing who she really has the strength to be. She has allowed a childhood bully (Mallory a.c.b.k.a. Maleficent) to cause her to basically sleep through life thinking that she doesn’t deserve her own Prince Charming. (I would love a Mallory redemption/back-story.)
In this story, will the princess save the bad boy?

This was an inspiring installment of the Boston Bruisers series addressing bullying. Chase is the quarterback and part of the “moon gate” prank; Pippa is his etiquette coach and has been bullied by the same girl since high school. Chase and Pippa have liked each other since high school but have never connected, can they now or will other issues get in their ways.
I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it.
Chase was the least juvenile of his teammates involved in the prank that sent them off to reform school. He already knew etiquette and manners from high school boarding school in England where he first met and formed a crush on his current coach Pippa. Pippa had a crush on Chase too, but she was bullied and pranked by mean girl Mallory who kept making her look bad and she can’t help being a klutz. She thought Chase was laughing at her too, but the more time she spends with him she realizes he’s a good guy underneath if misunderstood at times. This was a clean romance with plenty of funny and sweet moments.
I loved this third installment. Second chances, overcoming the past, and finding your own future. There were so many characters that played key parts in this book – wonderful ones, swoon worthy, meanies… I can’t wait to read the fourth book!

This is the third story of the series but the first one that I have read. The author included a prologue that sets the stage for the story. The story was wonderfully written and flowed beautifully.
I adored Chase and Pippa. The quarterback and the etiquette teacher who knew each other in high school getting their second chance. I loved getting a glimpse into the characters’ mind as the story was written in my favorite dual POV format. Seeing these two getting past several stumbling blocks, one from the past and several in the present, was very rewarding.
This is a very sweet, clean second chance romance. It does have the characters leaning on their faith at times. This is a book that I can highly recommend to anyone.
I now have to go back and read the prior two stories to “catch up” with the other characters.
This was such a sweet and charming story. Ms. Hall really does a great job of creating a story that is captivating and really keeps your interest throughout the whole story. Pippa and Chase are really wonderful characters with great personalities and depth. Chase is so misunderstood, and I’m glad Pippa finally realizes that. They both needed each other and it was great seeing their relationship grow. The storyline was well written and engaging. This was a really inspirational and sweet read. I have not read the previous books in this series, but after reading this one I’m definitely going to go back and pick those up. From just this book I can tell it is a great series and I’m looking forward to the next one!
