Staying away from Cade Renner is easier said than done—because he’s my brother’s best friend and my new roommate.I know he’s trouble when I meet him—half naked, covered in tattoos, and kicking an anonymous girl out of his bed.I’m not supposed to become his friend, and I definitely shouldn’t be thinking about him at night.Especially after I meet Adam—he is the perfect gentleman and he wants to be … gentleman and he wants to be my boyfriend. To him, I am a sweet, innocent girl not to be defiled.
But I’m done being innocent.

This book was splendidly addicting! It is a book that will grab your attention and not let you go. The author has an enjoyable writing style. Very fluid and easy to read but never bland or boring.
The pacing of the story is perfect. Everything felt so realistic, which I loved. Haley is in college and the reader really feels like they are right there with her. There is plenty of drama to keep things interesting and entertaining.
The characters were brilliant! I adored them. I really appreciated how relatable and realistic the characters were. The reader has no problem connecting with them and living through them through the pages. There was great character growth for Cade and Haley. I really loved the secondary characters. I adored the relationship that Haley had with her brother, Tuck. You could tell how fiercely he loved her.
I loved the slow-burn romance that starts off with Haley and Cade becoming friends. They spend a lot of time together after she moves in and get to know each other. It is such a great precursor for when their feelings start to grow. There are plenty of steamy moments and the two of them really fit well together. The sacrifice that Haley made for Cade was heartbreaking but so endearing.
Overall, this is a book that I absolutely could not put down. This book has characters that the reader immediately falls in love with. There is humor, steam, raw emotions, I mean this book has it all. I am unbelievably eager for the next book in this series! This is a new-to-me author that I am putting on my watch list.
This book was great! I loved Cade from the beginning and he only got better when he told her he was a chef. I mean a guy who cooks you breakfast almost every morning and leaves dinner in the oven for you when he’s working late..Heaven, right? At first, I wondered if Haley would even Cade a chance. She was all about Adam, who honestly I had a feeling he might be a creep and I was right. Sure Cade has a reputation around but something happens when Haley enters their apartment..He all smitten and it suddenly became a dependent relationship. I liked how Haley didn’t cave and immediately take him back. I liked how she finally got a backbone and stood up for herself. These two definitely have a connection and while the sexy times in bedroom is nice, I enjoyed the moments of just them hanging out and cooking together, or watching movies together. The growth both of them showed at the end was simply remarkable. This book sucked me in and wouldn’t let me go!!
To Be Your Girl is book one in the To Be Yours series. We meet Haley who is the innocent girl and fights her connection to her brothe’s BF and roommate, Cade. You will see from the moment that they meet is not only uncomfortable, but funny in its own way that they had a connection. At times you will want to smack Cade with his mean actions, but you then love him with his nice actions. He has a thing for kitchens (in more ways than one) HaHa. You will love/hate them, but in the end you will fall in love with this story.
An enjoyable read that had me reading until the early hours because I couldn’t put it down. This is a new to me author and I’m so glad I took a chance on this book.
I really enjoyed this book. It jumped right into the story tho so I thought I had missed something for a minute but once you get on into it it really starts to flow. And you really get to know Cade and Haley and feel their chemistry. I wish there were a little bit more communication between them and more interactions with some secondary characters. I also wish that the ending was more expanded. It kinda fell flat for me. I was happy for the way it turned out but I wanted more from it. But overall it was an enjoyable read. – By Tina
This one had me intrigued by the blurb and I knew I had to read it I enjoyed it and it had an easy flow. I really liked Cade and Haley. They had a love/hate thing going on, but soon their chemistry would be too much to ignore. Haley experiences the thing called life in this book. There is one character in particular I wanted to knock in the head. Boy did I dislike him. Now Cade I really liked him. He had his sweet moments with Haley that had me swooning, but boy times I wanted to knock some sense into him. The only thing I wish that was different was we got his point of view. I would have loved to been able to get inside his head at times to know what he was thinking, but it’s just a personal preference. It does leave you wanting to read the next book in the series.
Oh my… Cade and Haley certainly set my Kindle on fire
I really enjoyed this. I loved the push and pull between the two of them. Cade made my heart flutter, I mean who doesn’t love tattoos? Well, this girl does. The moments where he protected Haley *swoon* and whilst there were a fair few tense and teary eyed moments, these two definitely got the ending they deserved.
I LOVED this book!
When Haley’s big brother Tuck’s best friend, Cade, turns out to be her new roommate, courtesy of her moving in with them, she’s unpleasantly surprised to find out he’s a manwhore with a hefty dose of asshole. But as the days wind by she finds out perhaps he’s not really an ass, but is definitely a manwhore. Cade knows Haley’s off limits, but their mutual attraction can’t be denied, and soon they’re indulging when Tuck’s not home. They both know it’s going to blow up in their faces, and when it does blow up all over the damn place…will Cade stick around and stand up for his feelings for Haley, or take off when she needs him most?
Gah, this story drove me nuts! It was drama llama so much that I got whiplash from reading their back and forth, push and pull. They were together. Then they weren’t. I thought they’d stick it out and they would, for a little while. Then they’d fall apart because of one thing or another. Then the rush to an HEA at the end. Sigh…it raced a million miles an hour and wound around so much I never quite got the chance to feel invested in any of them or their story. I will say that it is freakin’ hot, and it’s why the 3 stars rather than the 2 it could have been if I had based it on the story alone. I’d say there’s almost too much sex and not enough story, but if there hadn’t been all the sex, the story itself would have suffered, because it wasn’t interesting enough, or stable enough to have held my attention on its own. So all the sex (super freakin’ hot sex!) was actually necessary. And too much sex is better than not enough, at least in my opinion.

This is the first book in a new series from this author, and Haley and Cade’s story is relatable and with engaging characters. This is a beautifully written story which is emotional, steamy, heartbreaking, humorous, romantic, entertaining, and is raw, gritty, and with a few twists along the way, which all had me hooked and intrigued throughout. I look forward to reading more in this series, and recommend for all.
I thought To be your Girl was a good story with interesting characters and a plot had me devour the book in one sitting also left me wanting more . Really excited to read more by Rae Kennedy more so the second book in the To yours series . Over all this was one of those stories that I’m drawn too the characters while likable could be a bit frustrating with how they handle certain situation the last couple of chapters brought out my frustrations even more .But by the end of the story I feel even more in love with the characters and how they coupled well together . Can’t wait to read more by this author and to see how this couple is doing .

To be Your Girl by Rae Kennedy a five-star read you will want to call yours. This is the first in the To Be Yours series and I am excited for the next story, the main two characters Cade and Hailey were great, they had amazing chemistry and sizzle the thing that let me down was Adam, he didn’t feel like a main character, and at times didn’t even feel like a secondary character and there were some really great secondary characters. There is a great plot line in this story and the drama and ups and downs with the story will keep you hooked, for the most part this is a great story, I don’t want to give the game away but there are moments in this that will have you needing tissues.
