Devney Perry never fails me with her endearing characters and the small town feels. She does angst and emotion in a way that just leaves me in a mix of awe and smiles.
LOVED tinsel…besides a great book title and beautiful cover the words inside are amazing. I love the Lark Cove series and this is one of my favorites.
Sofia appears to be a spoiled rich girl on the surface but Dakota sees different. I loved the path of discovery for Sofia and how she ultimately finds herself in this book. Her and Dakota are a steamy pair and it made me not want to put this book down.
The whole lark cove series is fun and I love love how you get to see characters from the other books. There is so much humor, angst, heat and just love in Tinsel. Sofia and Dakota each have their own demons and they each had their own struggles. The story is a definite journey and the a great ending to the series! You must one click the whole series and get read to be consumed!
Reading this book was like saying goodbye to your favorite friends!
Sofia the baby of the family has made many mistakes in her life while searching for acceptance in her family, the last one has her heading to Lark Cove to figure things out.
Dakota has also been searching to find the place of what he wants and the acceptance of his family.
10 days together running the bar giving into their attraction and learning more about theirselves but can it continue while they live in totally different places?
Since her first book Devney Perry has been a definite 1 click for me and always a page turner from the first page.
I loved watching/reading Sofia and Dakota’s love story but it’s also a story of finding your place in life that you can find your happiness inside!
Goodbye my Lark Cove friends until we meet again in rereads!
Another amazing Lark Cove book! I’m sad to see this series be over but it’s been such an amazing ride! I loved all of the Lark Cove books and Tinsel was no exception. This was a wonderful way to wrap up the series. Another fantastic job Devney.
I loved everything about this book. Even though Sofia was judged by so many people, I really felt for her. If you didn’t think you’d like her before this book, you’ll definitely change your mind. You really get to see her and I enjoyed it. Oh Dakota. I loved him! He may be my new favorite character in the Lark Cove series!
I would one hundred percent recommend you read this book. This was definitely a great way to wrap up the series.
5 Stars!
Lots of emotion, lots of heat plus an ending that was perfect and had me in happy tears
Book 4 of the Lark Cove series, while these books can be read as standalones, with the way characters and events carry over, for the best experience I’d recommend reading the series in order.
I admit to being a little apprehensive about this one since Sofia made herself pretty unlikeable in the first book, so she had a ways to come back to win me over. Add in the spoiled socialite lifestyle, and she’s not someone I have much in common with. I should have known better, though, as the author managed to make Sofia very relatable in spite of all that, and it only took a few pages before I felt for her and was cheering her on—pretty much like Dakota as a matter of fact. For two people coming from such very different worlds, they actually had a lot in common as they were both the odd one out in their families; it allowed them to understand and be supportive of each. I loved the growth Sofia showed over the course of the book (with some help from Dakota), while Dakota had things he needed to work out as well.
Of course we get to revisit all the great characters from the earlier books, and I loved the chance to catch up on the lives of those earlier couples. I also liked the chance to get to know Dakota’s uncle Xavier a little better. I will say there was a part in the middlish that dragged briefly for me, but that was probably just me getting impatient for the two of them to work things out and get to their hea, lol.
Lots of emotion, lots of heat, plus an ending that was perfect and had me in happy tears. 4.5 stars

Absolutely perfect! I devoured this story from start to finish. Dakota and Sofia are simply perfect.
Sofia is a socialite. A complete Princess. Living off her family name. With divorces under her belt and some rather negative publicity Sofia decides she needs to escape. She wants to get away from the limelight so decides to escape to Lark Cove to see her brother until things die down.
When we’ve previously met Sofia she came across as a rich spoilt brat and was not likeable at all. Yet I love it when an author manages to make the reader fall in love and see a totally different side to a character. Devney Perry smashed it with this one.
Dakota is wonderful. Sexy, brooding, mysterious. Dakota couldn’t be from a more different background to Sofia. He’s dealing with some big family issues.
When Dakota is left with Sofia to help at the bar just the two of them over New Year, Dakota thinks things will be terrible. And Sofia, having never worked a day in her life is not looking forward to it either. Yet it soon becomes apparent that there’s far more to all of the characters and their stories!
An absolutely superb read with the most amazing characters. I truly loved this story and the messages that came across from the storyline. A must read!!
Each of the Lark Cove books can be devoured as standalone’s BUT you get a real kinship if you enjoy the other books first.
She’s the petulant princess. The spoiled rich girl who runs free but watching Sophia change is spectacular. These mountains really do heal and open your eyes.
Devney writes love with perfection. Push and pull. Sophia and Dakota couldn’t be more different which is what makes them great.
We are woven into thier unique worlds, tossed on their waves before being drug to shore and revived. A intricate look at another couple in Lark Cove and I loved every second.
All the feels, the heat, the understanding and family. Growth and change are the key for both the lead characters.
Watching them solve the impossibility of making it work will draw you in deep as with all Ms. Perry’s books. I had that swoony goofy adoring grin through the entire read…once you start you will not be able to put it down.
Whew!!
What an amazing way to end a series.
I’ve been a fan of Devney’s from day 1.
Every time I think, “This is my favorite book of hers”, she writes another story that pulls me in and steals my heart until the end when she hands it back to me full of love for another couple and lust for another book boyfriend.
I loved this book, this couple, the town and all of the side characters.
I have to say, in Devney’s book, Tattered (Book 1 in the Lark Cove series of standalones), I wasn’t much of a Sofia fan.
She’s the younger sister of Tattered’s male main character, Logan Kendrick and she “did not play well with others” when it came to Thea, the female main character.
I had a “mean girls” image of her. She seemed shallow, selfish and spoiled.
One true sign of a talented writer is to take an unlikable character in a previous book and make the reader root for their HEA before they even finish the 2nd chapter.
Once we are able to get inside Sofia’s head, we can see she isn’t as superficial or spiteful as she seemed, she’s just naive and sheltered.
It’s hard to dislike someone when they’re not truly aware that they’re being cursory or egocentric.
She was patronized and overshadowed by older siblings when she was young and never really found her way.
Sofia needed an escape from New York and takes off for Logan’s house in Lark Cove.
With a gentle nudge/trial by fire approach from Thea asking Sofia to help out at the bar while they’re out of town, the story becomes a page-turner until the very end.
Of course, this is great because we all want that in a romance story, but also very bad because I hid in the laundry room, closet and the grocery store parking lot trying to fit in one more chapter before I had to go back to Wife-ing and Mom-ing.
One of the factors causing me to basically ignore my family all weekend was the sexy, alpha Native American bartender, Dakota.
Sigh.
He was everything I love in a guy.
Why? No, really people, WHY don’t more writers have Native American men as the heroes?
I think he is only the 3rd out of close to 2,000 romance books I’ve read since 2010.
I loved his heart and soul.
Sofia’s description of Dakota:
“Dakota was more than just a good guy.
He was top-shelf. His moral fiber ran so deep it was ingrained in his very being.
With him, there were no games. No tricks. No ulterior motives.
He was just pure and honest.”
I loved that he was up-front, honest and didn’t hide his true feelings.
I’d say he was one of my top favorite guys of Devney’s, but they’re all pretty awesome and with each release, they just keep elbowing the last book boyfriend off the pedestal until the next book comes along.
Tinsel is a story of self-discovery, prioritizing, acceptance, standing your ground and staying true to yourself while still trying to bend for others and so many other layers of the character development onion.
I love how the story unfolded.
It was a brief enemy to lovers story that morphed into a beautiful love story.
Dakota’s description of Sofia:
“She was an enigma. A puzzle.
She was a woman who had everything in the world at her fingertips and yet seemed so . . . miserable and lonely.
She seemed so lost.”
These two might have thought that the other was the right person, but at the wrong time when in fact they were the right person no matter what the time.
I’ll miss Lark Cove and have already commented that I wouldn’t be opposed to some of the children (non-related, of course) to grow up and fall in love so we can come back and visit the small town and our old friends.
Charlie REALLY needs her own book.
Just sayin’
Opposites attract in this emotional & angsty love story from Devney Perry!
All I can say is Devney Perry has blown me away yet again. I always say, “This book is my favorite of the series.” So….I’m saying it again. Sofia and Dakota are her most complex characters so far!
Sofia really is “an enigma.” This is what Dakota says, and he is absolutely correct. When I first met her, I wasn’t impressed, much like Dakota wasn’t. However, again like Dakota, it didn’t take me long to see that there was so much more to her than her beauty and superficiality. She appears to be a spoiled, rich princess who is used to getting her own way. Despite her wealth and advantages, she really is a lonely woman who just hasn’t found her purpose in life. When she goes to Montana to find some peace, her life will change. Dakota is a man unlike any man she has ever met. Her life will also take some direction with her family’s help and Dakota’s help.
Dakota couldn’t be more different than Sofia. He didn’t grow up with the advantages that Sofia did. He has worked hard to realize his dreams, and he has a goal in mind, unlike her. Of course, he is gorgeous, but he is also very intelligent, funny, when you get to know him, tenacious, and very loyal to those he loves.
These two are complete opposites, but their pull towards one another is undeniable. What starts out as something casual soon turns into something so much more. Perry always knows how to balance steam and emotion perfectly. Their romance made me swoon, but the differences and obstacles they face in their journey to HEA are very real. Because of that, the romance is told over several months with many bumps along the way. However, they really needed to realize who they were themselves before they could be a couple. I have never seen a character grow as much as Sofia did. She was not the same woman she was at the beginning of the book. I came to love and respect her so much.
One of the things I love about Perry’s books is that I get to see characters from previous books. It’s like catching up with old friends without compromising the story of the new characters. As always, her epilogues are EPIC!!!
Perry never ceases to amaze me. She has grabs ahold of my heartstrings and makes me fall in love with her storytelling and her characters, and this book is no different. It is an all-time favorite for me and a top read of 2019! As always, I will be waiting impatiently for her next novel.
Just like every other book in this fabulous series, I absolutely loved this book! The tension, the heart ache, the love! Everything about I found perfect. Ms Perry has out done herself with this series!
Sofia is Logan’s sister. When we met her in Tattered, she wasn’t at all nice to Thea. But with a bit of a reality check her life is becoming unstuck. We start to see the real Sofia, the amazing Sofia.
Dakota is trying to make something of his life. He is so so sweet! I just love him. He is up on my top book boyfriends list!
This book had me smiling, my eyes misted a few times, and I love to watch the growth within each character. I fell in love with every single one of them. I am sad that this is the last from the Lark Cove series but I can’t wait to see what else this author has in store for us.
I started this book and I never wanted it to end! I just love this authors stories and writing and characters. I just can’t get enough. She has a great storytelling ability and I never want her to stop writing. There was so much emotions going through me while reading. There was humor, the passion, the chemistry, the angst, the heartache, the love, and all that mixed together made for a phenomenal story. These are two characters who on paper are complete opposites but their connection was undeniable and I love following along with their journey. I highly recommend this book for any new to seasoned Devney Perry reader! It will just take your breath away!
Another amazing book by Devney! Tinsel is the 4th book in the Lark Cove Series. This story follows Sofia, Logan’s sister, and Dakota. They have chemistry from the moment they meet, but they are from very different backgrounds. Sofia is from a world of privilege and Dakota has struggled. Devney has definitely upped the angst with this one. We see both characters struggle with labels and expectations that others, and themselves, have placed on them. We see so much growth and discovery in this story, it really is beautiful. Devney has a way of writing stories that are emotional, unique, and sexy. This story was no different. I am going to miss these characters but can’t wait to see what Devney creates next!
“She was a woman who had everything in the world at her fingertips and yet seemed so…miserable and lonely. She seemed so lost. I didn’t pity her. But I was intrigued. I ached to get closer and solve the riddle.”
Sofia. When first meeting her, quite honestly I despised her. She seemed like an insufferable, spoiled brat and I hoped that she would just move to Paris, or someplace, and out of everyone’s lives. Then, I read the prologue at the end of Tragic, and I … well, I was wrong. I mean, Sofia was all those things, but she was also lost, passionless, and lonely. She has been living a life of privilege that has privileged her nothing of true value.
Hiding in Lark Cove, she is placed under the tutelage of Dakota, a hard worker that Thea believes can teach Sofia a thing or two. At first, all Dakota can see is the shimmer of privilege coating Sofia, but as time moves on he notices small things about her that have escaped even the eyes of people who love her. It’s in this time that Dakota gives her the thing she’s never had – someone to truly believe in HER. “She had more potential than she knew. She had more intelligence than most — in spades.”
This story was one that I felt in many layers. I first had to forgive myself for judging and wrongfully pinning Sofia as a person she was not. Then, I got to watch her blossom into … well, herself. During these time my heart is almost exploding with hope that she and Dakota will see that they are an absolute match, and not let the world pull them apart. In the midst of all this, I’m cheering for Sofia to find the life she deserves and to keep moving forward to become a better person who is living their passion.
As the end of a series, I am going to truly miss Lark Cove and everyone there. TRULY. This series, for me, started off a little unsteady, but has since captured my heart. I have to say that I believe Sofia has become my absolute favorite character from the series, and if ever Aubrey gets her chance to break free into a story, I’d be delighted! Having her finally make her way out of the shadows in this story made me ecstatic! The beginning of 2019 is laden with amazing releases and I’m SO excited for the year to come.
Be bold. Find your magic. Chase the impossible.
I absolutely love the cover of this book. I absolutely love this book. This is a book about Sofia and Dakota. They had some challenges happen where they needed one another. She is always let down when it comes to the men in her life. All she wants is a best friend that is there for her. Dakota did not want to go back home he wanted to stay in Montana. Their bond is amazing. I could not put this book down. I just love them. I highly recommend her books/series. You won’t regret it. Absolutely amazing.
This book was better than I anticipated. Admittedly Sofia was not a character I had much interest in. The article written about her was exactly as I saw her. But I was impressed with how she actually admitted to her downfalls in life and didn’t just accept them. She made moves to become a better person. She ran from the travesty her life had become and met a man who was already striving to be a man who didn’t live in his father’s shadow, which is what he would he would have been if he had stayed on the reservation. Though there arrangement is only intended to be temporary, it goes deeper than that. They become best friends as well as lovers.
Devney Perry you are my hero (happy sigh)
Dakota and Sofia’s story was amazing and beautiful to read. Watching Sofia grow into her own during the story was magical and Dakota seen the real her & wouldn’t fight her battles but always stood by her side. They always had something to overcome but there connection was so strong that in the end everything will work out as long as they have each other
Amazing! Like all of the Lark Cove books, I fall in love with each and every character. I’m still a little teary eyed like Sofia at the end of Tinsel. Both Sofia and Dakota broke me at several times in this story. Their experiences were so heartbreaking and you could tell they had a lot of emotional baggage from their past. What surprised me the most was how strongly I felt for Sofia’s dilemma. In the past few books she came across as shallow and selfish, but I found her to be totally redeemable in this story and truly cared for her happiness. I enjoyed the roller coaster of emotions I felt while these two grew closer and you can’t miss this one if you are following the Lark Cove series.
If you haven’t given Devney Perry’s books a try, what are you waiting for? They are so beautifully written and after each one I feel like I can’t wait for another one to escape with.
Enemies to lovers, steamy romance with all the feels!
5 brilliant stars!

An all-consuming, heart melting, sweep you off your feet romance. Tinsel by Devney Perry is absolutely phenomenal! The fourth and final book in the Lark Cove series, Tinsel can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the entire series in order. You will love the book that much more!
If you read any of the previous books then you went into this book like I did, strongly disliking Sofia Kendrick. Sofia has everything and anything she could possibly want. She is a princess and lives up to the name. Shallow and superficial, never really aspiring to do anything until her world gets turned on its axis. After her flaws are spread in a magazine for everyone to see, Sofia runs away to hide out in Lark Cove with her brother and sister-in-law, not knowing who she is or what she wants out of life.
She is the definition of the saying— money doesn’t buy you happiness.
I wasn’t sure there was a redeemable quality in Sofia but the more I read the more I felt for her. Little by little she won me over. I kept rooting for her to find happiness and live the life she was destined for.
Dakota Magee, swoon, isn’t just the hot bartender in Lark Cove, he is so much more. I think I fell in love with Dakota the moment I started the book. Dakota is everything you would want in a partner— he is strong, hardworking, sweet and caring. Struggling with his family and the life they want him to live, he is torn between finding his happiness and making his family proud. Growing up in a reservation, there were certain expectations from him, like finding a wife from the reservation and not an outsider like Sofia. The woman he is currently stuck babysitting. Dakota had already disappointed his family once, the moment he walked out of the reservation. Was he willing to give up his family to chase a romance that might not even work?
This book gave me all the feels! Dakota is probably my favorite hero in the Lark Cove series. He made this story come to life. Dakota and Sofia had so much going against them. This book is about two very different people fighting for a love they found in each other. A love that wasn’t defined by social status and different backgrounds. I rooted so hard for these two. I wanted to see them make a life together.and was so happy to see them find their happily ever after!
Devney Perry did not miss a beat with this book. I am so sad to leave these characters but I am looking forward to re-reads in the near future!
