This was a great book. Lots of twists and turns. Great characters. Kept me guessing right to the end. I love a book with a surprise ending!
Jaymee gave birth to a daughter at age seventeen. Now, seven years later, she lives in a ratty trailer and works double shifts waitressing at a diner, putting every spare cent aside towards the day she can afford a family lawyerto help her get her daughter back. Jaymee lives in a small city in Mississippi, but early in the book she connects with …
This book is well written. The characters are memorable and real. The storyline pulled me in from the first page. I wanted the good guys to win and the bad guys to lose.
This entire series is awesome! Great character development, awesome plots, all around fantastic writing!!
It kept you wondering who. You feel you know but then your theory moves to someone else.
The characters are great. The twists of details kept you involved. My choice of murderer was way off! Had me fooled!
I hated to put this book down and hated that it was ending, then I had to buy the 2 and 3rd installation. It grabs you by the heart strings and doesn’t let go. I can’t imagine living the life this girl lived. You have to read the trilogy to understand.
Great read!
caught between 4 stars and 5…..but closee to 5 srars character development was good; grew to admire and like primary
Enjoyed the history portion also !
Love the characters and the plot. Ms. Green is an excellent writer. I really enjoy the history she incorporates in her books.
I liked the book except for the language. Not sure why all modern authors have to throw that in. After 98% completion, the language got even worse. I won’t read this author again.
I feel that this book was a huge disappointment. I was hoping that it would be one that I could not put down. However, it just went on and on – I thought it would never come to an ending. Also, there were too many characters to keep up with.
Excellent read. The author has a wonderful ability to create interesting characters and build the storyline page by page.
I liked this book very much. The villains in this book could have used a bit more development to their characters
I’ve read this whole series and loved each book!
I loved how this book kept you guessing and engaged all the way to the end!
Well written, I really enjoyed it.
Disliked the “heroine” bunches, sorry about that. Lots of folks are dealt miserable hands in life but manage to keep a “stiff upper lip” and not be so whiny and tearful. The dreadful “pastors” should have been horsewhipped. I guess it’s kind of Southern, the setting is anyway, but it didn’t make me think of major writers in this vein.
This mystery keeps you guessing throughout the book. It is a page turner that has you wanting answers chapter after chapter. The deeper you get into the book, the more answers you want.
