Once in a while right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale.I saw that quote about fairy tales embroidered on a decorative pillow at a home decorating store. Honestly, it pissed me off. Retail propaganda aimed to promote sales when any single girl in the city could tell them they’d sell more if they’d offer Keep Your Pants On, Asshole instead. But it’s fine. I don’t have … instead.
But it’s fine. I don’t have room for decorative pillows anyway.
And I don’t have time for distractions.
Which is why I’m ignoring the distraction staring at me right now. The one who looks like he belongs on a billboard campaign. The one with the full lips and the cocky smile. The one refusing to look away even when I give him my best no way scowl.
The one headed in my direction. Right now.

The last chapter and the epilogue fit their relationship perfectly!!
Swoon Worthy
This quick novella hit me right in the feels. I love the chemistry from the beginning with Max and Lauren. Max is definitely book boyfriend material. Just the little thing she does for her goes such a long way in Lauren’s eyes and in mine as a reader. If you’re looking for a quick happily ever after read, with little angst, this is the perfect book for you.
Short and sweet, funny and so swoon worthy.
After her day starts out craptastically, Lauren meets up with the cute guy from the coffee shop. He makes her smile and tries to get her to go to dinner with him. She compromises, and says meet her at her book club. From there, she discovers how much in common they have and how she needs Max in her life.
Every JA fan should read this novella. If your new to this author, what a great little gift to wet your appetite!
This novella was originally published in the Love In Transit anthology, and I loved it then. I love it on its own as well.
Max and Lauren are just great characters. They are fun, flirty, funny, and have great chemistry. I had authentic laugh out loud moments, as well as sweet “awwwwww” moments.
This novella is written in Jana Aston style. Everything I’ve come to love and expect from her was here. Laughs, love, sex, happy. This would be a great place to start if you haven’t read her work before. I’m always excited when I see something from Ms Aston on my Kindle. I know it will be something that I love and will reread multiple times
Times Square was a short and sweet story that I needed to listen to today. It packed the humor that I needed to get through my day without the angst that I didn’t need! Jana picks the best narrators! Erin Mallon can narrate every book she will ever write and I will never tire of hearing her voice! Well done to both Jana and Erin!
Quick, dirty, flirty, funny HEA
I love it when the Iowa girl moves to NYC and goes from a disaster to success. And Lauren meeting Max is definitely success. He is simply fantastic! She is spunky, funny, smart, and totally awesome!
Times Square is a fun, sexy, flirty, easy read. The audiobook has great narration. It is a perfect quick listen to have lined up whenever I need a fun reread!
Aw, this one left me with a big ole smile on my face. I love the banter between Max and Lauren. What a fun couple! I totally dig Jana’s writing. She makes it so easy to connect with her characters.
I’ve read it 3 times already. That’s how much I loved it via audiobook format.
Max and Lauren have the coolest meetcute ever.
And their story is sexy and steamy. Told in true Jana Aston form, Times Square is the short read you didn’t know you wanted.
Lauren & Max — WOW — just WOW!
I read Times Square while it was included in an anthology called Love In Transit. I was so excited when it came out because I was a huge fan of Jana and a few of the other authors already. Plus it was in kindle unlimited for a bit and I had the membership still. Win, win.
First of all – Lauren’s internal dialogue is downright comic perfection! Gah the words she holds back – omg humorous is just not a strong enough word to describe them. Add to that the ones she does let loose – I can’t get enough.
I am so in love with Max. This author has a knack for creating perfect heroes. Sweet. Swoony. Sexy. Considerate. Dirty Talker extraordaire. A pro at working his heroines body. Fanning myself.
The banter – fantastic. Their chemistry – explosive. The way their paths cross and how perfect a fit they are for eachother- delicious in every way.
My favorite aspect – is the intentional non-fight. Romances traditionally have some conflict that tears the characters apart. Sometimes for a page or two. Sometimes it is long and dreadful. This author purposefully wrote their moment of conflict – and it’s resolution in quick succession. They didn’t part ways hurt and heartbroken. No – they talked then @#$%’d it out like grown ups! It’s was so refreshing. And off the charts HOT!
This was a great and fun novella to read. Lauren was funny and just the right amount of quirky and Max was great hero who just fit so well with Lauren. The chemistry was hot and so sexy. I laughed and loved right along with these two characters.
Lauren ends up in a wedding dress standing in Times Square to do a promotional thing for her job and has to take the subway home… in the wedding dress which is where she runs in to Max. The connection is instant and hot and in true Jana Aston style great bouts of laughter will follow these two to their HEA.
