An enemies-to-lovers rock star romance…
“You’re not being very nice right now.”“I think you like it when I’m not nice.”Nick Fletcher has the voice of a god and a tongue as sharp as a knife. His words can cut, and this time, his quick temper has earned him an intruder in his life and on his tour.Dalia Brenner looks like a grown-up Annie gone bad, but he wants nothing to do with her pin-up … like a grown-up Annie gone bad, but he wants nothing to do with her pin-up worthy curves and smart mouth. His method of dealing is to keep his head down, get through the tour, and then he’ll never have to see her again.
Dalia has no intention of having heart-to-hearts with Nick. They share a bus and sleep three feet apart every night, but that doesn’t mean she can’t ignore the scowly, grumpy lead singer.
Except she can’t seem to deny the annoying instinct to “fix” the pain and grief behind Nick’s sea glass eyes, even though she definitely knows better.
And Nick, well, he’s getting tired of denying Dalia…period.
Dalia has plans though, and none of them involve being a rock star’s girlfriend. Too bad Nick couldn’t disagree more.

This is definitely one of my favourite rock romance books ever. Julia is a new author for me and after reading this I have to read all I can find from her now and in the future.
Times Like These is the love story of Dahlia and Nick. Dahlia under protest takes her sister to a Blue is the Colour concert. Jasper the bassist appears to be under the influence so much that he eventually collapses and falls off the stage. Dahlia posts a video of the incident to Twitter calling the band out for wasting their fan’s time and money.
Next morning she finds a post on her account from Nick the lead singer of the band calling her a rude name. Her Twitter account blows and suddenly she is hounded by paparazzi and insulted by customers at work. To add insult to injury she is also fired by her boss who is a big BITC fan.
Jasper calls her and explains that he was sick and apologizes for the post from Nick. He invites her to meet them which results in angry words between her and Nick and a job touring with the band for the summer.
Julia writes a very believable description of life on the road for a rock band including what happens behind the scenes. We see the all the hard work that goes into touring as well as the relationships and drama between the musicians. We also see through Dalia’s eyes her wonder and excitement as she gets to visit new places.
The hate fest between Nick and Dahlia continues as they travel on the tour bus, but the banter and insults are really covering up the developing attraction between them which they are both denying. When their chemistry finally explodes everyone needs to take cover!
But the summer tour will soon be over then what will happen? Will Dahlia have to go back to real life and get a “proper” job or will her future be with Nick? I just couldn’t put this book down as I had to find out how it turned out between them and I had to quickly follow it up by reading Watch me Unravel the next one in the Blue is the Colour Series.
Times Like These is a enemies to lover’s rockstar romance. It was a fast paced, easy read. I liked the characters in this book. I found it unique the way the characters in the book came together. I hope there’s more to this series in the future.
OMG!! JULIA WOLF did it Again with TIMES LIKE THESE!!! From the Very Beginning of the Book, I Could Not Put It in Down and devour it in ONE Sitting!!
Dalia Benner and Nick Fletcher just about BLEW ME AWAY with their Stubbornness and Banter towards one another. It was Beautifully Written and such a Rollercoaster ride of Raw Emotions. Their journey was so perfectly real-life and Entertaining at the same time. Plus their chemistry is OFF the Hot and Heartwreching at the same time.
I CANNOT WAIT TO read more from the Rest of the Band Members in BLUE IS THE COLOR- David, Jasper and Ian.
Thank you Julia for a Entertainingly thrilling and addicting storytelling of Nick & Dalia!!
Nick and Dahlia were fun to read. From the moment they met there were sparks and not all of them good!
I loved how they took their time to fall in the sack together the build up was phenomenal.
I really like Julia’s books I enjoy them. I’ll be reading more of them.
Rockstar romances are one of my favorite books to read and I couldn’t put this one down! Nick and Dalia’s characters meshed very well together and made for an amazing story! I can’t wait to read more books from Blue is the Color series!
When I won this book during a contest on Facebook, I wasn’t sure who this author was. I am now a devoted fan, and I can’t wait to read the rest of her books. That being said, I found Times Like These, a wonderfully raw, gritty love story that started out on the wrong foot, but kept building until it burned right off the page. A definite five!
P.S. I can’t wait for the rest of the band’s stories!
Rockstar romance with lead singer Nick Fletcher and the non fan Dalia. After an awkward introduction you’re pulled into the slow burn love hate relationship from the beginning. You’ll be routing for them to work thru everything and in awe of the happily ever after that makes your heart smile. I received an ARC of this and volunteered to review it.
Loved Dalia and Nick’s story. Their banter is fun and flirty and they built a friendship before they fell into bed together which was a nice change. Loved the other band members and can’t wait to read about them!!
This was better than I even thought. I so enjoy an enemies romance and this was rightly so. So we meet Nick and Dahlia and they had sparks flying everywhere even when they swore that they hated each other and to a degree they did and after you find everything you can understand why they feel the way they feel. The good thing about these romances if why they hate each other, how they deal with it and when it is so much more. Did I agree with what Dahlia did, no I did not? Did she deserve to get fired, yes she did? However that my friends begins the start of a great love affair..but will what she discovers with Nick be worth fighting for? Well you need to grab a copy and find out all of the tid bits that I provided..I know I gave you just enough to wet your appetite..Enjoy!
Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..Voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions.
The great character and storyline development kept me totally engaged as I turned each and every page! I look forward to reading more from this author!
This Is a true enemies to lovers story.
When Nick, A cocky rock singer, who wants to save everyone, meets Dalia a bad ass, college student sparks fly. Not in a good way. Dalia gets a job working for Nick’s rock band while his band goes on tour.
As Dalia becomes friends with Nick’s band mates and other bands on the tour, her and Nick are far from friends. Until things turn hot and heavy
Just wow….simply amazing. I loved reading every single minute of this book. This was my first book by this author but it definitely won’t be my last. Dalia is an amazing character, she knows what she deserves and doesn’t settle for anything less and I admired that about her. I fell in love with Nick because the author did not write him as the “perfect guy”. He had flaws and he was quick to try and work on himself. This book was fantastic and let’s not forget all the hot, steamy sex scenes that left me in love with Nick even more, lol. Highly recommended.
I really enjoyed this book. It had a really good story line with it. Music band and their journey and a women who became part of the group in a very strange situation, but one that seemed to work. The author took us down the road of understanding what it must be like to be on the road and someone not being a part of it until they have been doing it for the past 10 years. I like the two sides of the story. It has funny parts and sad parts, but mostly a journey and one that will keep you reading..
Times Like These is a book that had me hooked from the start. Dalia is very protective of her sister, so when the performance of her favorite band is less than perfect, Dalia doesn’t leave it alone! One tweet starts a trail of events both Dalia and Nick did not see coming!
Nick in the lead singer of the band Blue is the Color and he doesn’t know how to be anything else. He’s the type of guy who takes care of everyone else, but won’t ask for what he needs. So when someone attacks a member of his band who doesn’t know the whole story, he gets very protective. Not having the greatest family situation growing up, his band is everything to him.
Dalia is always with her sister. They had a great childhood, but her parents didn’t really provide a stable income, so that’s always been hard on them! She’s busy finishing her degree, but who knows what will happen when she’s done? Never does she expect to be on a tour bus during the summer after the tweet she sent after that awful concert.
Times Like These isn’t your typical rock star romance. Yes, there’s plenty of partying and you here about bands drinking and doing drugs, but it’s not too much. They’re actually all pretty down to earth. I loved that there a bit wild, but know when it’s going to far. The band members are hilarious and I can’t wait for each othem to get their own stories!
The romance between Nick and Dalia was definitely a slow burn, but I loved it! The teasing, the attraction all just leading up to a moment they can’t resist. I loved them together, because they brought out the best in the other. Dalia learned that she could be seen as beautiful and a guy could be good to her (she doesn’t have the best track record) and Nick learns that it’s okay to ask for what you need. Having someone lookout for you isn’t a weakness.
On top of all the wonderful characters, it’s fun to see what happens behind the scenes on the tour. A lot of hard work, but a lot of fun! And the song lyrics we got to read in some of the chapters were amazing! I also listened to the play list the author put on Spotify and it fits the book perfectly!
And I can’t forget Mingo! That doggy definitely got a place in my heart, haha. All in all, this is such a fun rock star romance with amazing characters! I couldn’t put it down and was sad when it was over!
Times like these
A Rock Star romance with a little hate love relationship built in. Dalia and Nick find the fine line of love and hate. Thrust into the spotlight Dalia truly is not a fan, but she sure turn out to love.
Loved it don’t miss out on this read!
Nick is the lead singer of a rock band. Dalia makes an innocent tweet about his grumpiness and ends up losing her job. She ends up on the tour bus with Nick and the band. These two have chemistry they try to deny. This was a good read.
I’ve not read anything by Julia Wolf before, but I will be finding more, asap. I love a good Rockstar romance, even when (especially when? I can’t decide) the characters begin with something more like hate between them.
Nick is a great dark foil to Dalia’s light. She’s sweet, and likeable and he’s angry and kind of not likeable at all. Seeing them figure out that their initial perceptions of one another are wrong and finding that they actually like one another is a pretty enjoyable thing to read. I wanted more out of Nick in terms of apology, groveling, something along those lines because Dalia deserves that, but overall I really like this pair and the world they exist in.
Recommend if you need a good Rockstar, hate to love with a full cast of likeable (for the most part) characters and a good band tour as your setting!
After being forced to go to a concert with her sister, Dalia sees a first impression she doesn’t agree with. One tweet later her whole, life changes. A new job with a jerk of a rockstar. This band is a little older than your typical rockstar book. They aren’t hard core parties or druggies like the usually stigma. It was a fun read and I loved that she wasn’t some swoony fan.
Out of all of the books I have read by Julia Wolf this one has become my favorite. I absolutely adored the main characters in Times Like These. Nick is the broody rock star with a sweet/caring heart and Dalia is a fierce independent woman that brings him to his knees. I enjoyed their witty banter and also the interactions that they had with the secondary characters. Through these interactions I have become invested in the outcomes of these characters as well, so as you can imagine I can’t wait for book 2 to release.
Nick is a foul mouth rockstar who takes care of everyone but himself. Dalia is spunky college student a semester from graduation when her sister drags her to a “Blue is a Color”: concert where Nick is the lead singer… What should have been a great fun girls night out changes Dalia and Nick’s lives. Dalia ends up on summer tour with the band and the chemistry between them is over the charts, it is like a moth’s attraction to a flame, even when they know it will burn them.
