A great book 2; we have new characters as well as getting to know characters we’ve heard of previously. The story continues seamlessly into the next chapter of “evil” witches and their “good” descendants. Dead witches are hard to get rid of especially when they have others helping them and they can grab whomever they wish, taking them to places where the hatred of magic means killing those that have it. We meet a witch who wouldn’t use her magic, her mother who was supposed be dead and a Druid who preferred working finances instead of getting mixed up in magic. By the way the witch is a stunner and the Druid is, well what can I say, muscular and good looking; they are immediately attracted to each other. Grab this book and learn all they have to go through i.e. kidnapped to different time, fighting for their lives, to avoid being destroyed by evil magic and how along the way they fall in love. I love this author’s writing, she draws you into the story and keeps you there with her fascinating imagination until before you know the day has turned into night and your determined to keep reading till the last page.
Having read the first one I just had to skate into this one. This author knows how to deliver what a reader craves from paranormal and romance. When a witch doesn’t want to face who she is that only leads to trouble. In Liliana’s case it also gets her another time zone too. For us readers that is kinda exciting but not nearly as much adventure as what she is in for. Of course the other part that enables the romance side of things is Sean whom also lands in that time zone. The things that go popping will have us on the edge and loving every bit of this story. The curiosity will be brought forth and fed too in this. This is one that you devour in no time once you start with all it contains from start to finish. Craving well fed!
This is another fantastic tale by Ann Gimpel. It starts off where the first book left off and I love that. Everything is so detailed from the present to the past I was totally immersed in the story. I wasn’t sure if I would like Lillian but she stepped up. I liked the way they decided the more power the better, without a big discussion. Sean and Lillian just fit together. My emotions were all over the place while I was reading. I volunteered to read an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.
This picks up shortly after book 1 ends. Liliana is getting ready to head to visit her daughter and soon to be son in law. First she needs to make a quick stop. Sean is Arlen’s second in command and gets attacked and makes his way free. Glory rides in to the rescue and things get interesting for sure.
I really loved how things are playing out. Rhea is one heck of bad guy, and she is super pissed. Can’t wait to see how things play out.
Sean and Lilianna’s story is so good. A witch and a Druid find happiness in each other while fighting her black magic grandmother.
Liliana has tried to lead a normal life, or as normal a life as possible as a Roskelly witch can. She has denied her Roskelly black magic heritage. She needs her mother’s help and during a spell gone wrong ends up in 1890s. Sean, a Druid, gets sucked in to a time portal & uses his own magic to usurp where the spell would put him out & he ends up in 1890s Glasgow at the same time as Liliana. His intent is to kill her until he sees her & realizes there’s something different about her as he doesn’t find the evil taint on her.
As her kinswomen crawl from their crypts intent on destroying anyone standing in their way, Liliana & Sean team up with a team of Druids, Katerina-Liliana’s daughter, and Gloria-Liliana’s mother to prevent them from moving forward with their evil plans.
This is a whirlwind romance that is filled with lots action. The characters are all well-developed, and the story is full of intrique, action, and some steamy sex. The story moves at a quick pace, but this is essential to the plot. I read this story in 2 sittings, and I’m definitely looking forward to book 3.
Wow, as the plot thickens, this magical and mysterious world continues to open up my imagination and keep me captivated. To me this was even better than the first story which is more than likely because of my romance meter but Times’s Curse also takes all the other aspects up another notch. Love this series so far and I am anxious to see (read) where the spell and now the curse will lead to next.
I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC copy.
If you like magic and mayhem you will love this series! It’s time to fight the Roskelly witches through Sean and Liliana’s story. This time they are angrier and more determined than ever to get Kat. The remaining Roskelly witches, all good much to the disgrace of their dead ancestors, join Alden group of druids to fight the evil Roskellys. Thrown back and forth in time, it is hard to pin point where and how they will strike next. But Liliana, along with her feisty and brave familiar, an owl, will stop at nothing to save her daughter and the man that she loves!
If you have read the first book in this series you would all
ready came across Liliana.
This one is about Liliana and Sean. There journey is one that you
won’t want to miss. Will they be able to fight the evil of Liliana grandmother
or will evil win to find out you are going to have to read this yourself.
Right from the start of this book I was absolutely hooked.
