Easy read but unique
I like this author and picked this book up. A time travel story with real life scientific resolution. You don’t have to like science or archeology to enjoy this read.
Interesting
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It took me along on the journey with the characters and kept me reading until late into the night. Many times I was surprised by an unexpected turn of events. Can’t go wrong with MC’s books.
This is a great read. One of my favorites. Much better than then The movie.
Fascinating premise of time travel. Makes it almost plausible. Remarkable description of historical times and settings in a far more realistic way than usually done. Story woven through history is excellent.
Wonderful escape fiction for fans of time travel.
Love all of Crichton’s work.
The science-fiction part of the book was clever and showed that Crichton had done his homework. The part set in medieval times was so farfetched as to be downright silly.
A bit of a twist on traditional time travel genre…historical element helped to fill-in the story…though the introduction….the beginning (set-up chapter)s were confusing. Author didn’t resolve some of the initial characters…left them ‘hanging’. Too much left unsaid…attempting to build suspense. Unfortunately, the author didn’t tie it …
Michael Crichton’s books are always so very well done. He has done enough research about his situations that his settings are quite authentic. His characters are well developed, and fitting to their roles. I enjoy visiting other times in history in my imagination, and this book does that well. By the way, the book is better than the movie.
IMHO, probably one of Michael Crichton’s best books, a great exploration of quantum mechanics, and then a great dive into the 14th century.
Loved it! Great read.
Unique science fiction coupled with anthology and time travel. Lost of fun to read and LEARN some medical history.
VERY interesting historical function. What would u do if u went back in time to the time of knights of England battling the French!?
After reading I was wishing for a sequel. Very enjoyable book.
Time travel
Very entertaining read.
Great book! I didn’t want to put it down! The author obviously researched different time periods to make it believable.
This is my favorite Crighton book. It’s very clever and different. It was way ahead of the time travel theme that became so popular following The Time Traveler’s Wife.
