Author’s Warning: Though I have tried to handle it delicately, readers should know that my heroine, Emmeline, is the victim of sexual assault. If you have also been a victim, please read with care. I hope, as I always do when I write this kind of book, to provide a narrative which will bring hope and healing to the reader, not a re-occurrence of trauma.

This was another great read. It had wonderful characters. Their journey to healing was a well written, emotional story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Fun, entertaining read. Definitely a typical Kindred novel formula, but that’s usual. The story was actually sweet, though, in most places.
Extremely entertaining
This story is about a young woman ruined in her world and missing the son she gave up to her mother, for the sake of the child, who is prophesied to be able to heal another’s worlds crystal. But the warrior who comes is a man and Emmeline trust no man. The warrior, Skahr, didn’t know what to expect when sent on this quest, he didn’t think his heart would be involved.
This is an extremely entertaining self-contained story but is better if you read the book written before this one but not necessary to enjoy this one.
I recommend this book to read.
