From the New York Times Bestselling Author Penny ReidLaws of Physics parts 1 (MOTION) & 2 (SPACE) end with a cliffhanger.Part 1 (MOTION) will be released February 11, 2019Part 2 (SPACE) will be released March 11, 2019.Part 3 (TIME) will be released April 15, 2019
I have a real love/hate relationship with serials. (And series in general, but that’s a topic for another time.) That said, there was no way I was waiting to start this series until it was finished. My love for Penny Reid’s books is just too great to wait. The first two parts were the best kind of torture, so I was obviously waiting for the final installment. Time was everything I wanted it to be and more. It was 1000% worth the wait — and the cliffhangers. (Because let’s be honest, the wait wasn’t all that brutal… the cliffhangers, however, were.)
I adored Mona and Abram. Penny’s characters are always so unique and these two were no exception. A rock star and a physicist is a pretty unusual pairing and I’m not sure anyone but Penny could’ve pulled it off this way. They complemented each other perfectly and their story gave me all the feels. Of course, I’m not going to tell you why or risk ruining anything for you. Time — and the entire Laws of Physics series, for that matter — is Penny at her best. I fell for Mona and Abram hard early on and Time was the perfect conclusion to their story. It’s a total cheesy-grin while reading kind of book and I loved every minute of it.
If you were on the fence about jumping into this series because of the wait between installments, I get it. But, now it’s completed and you have no more excuses. Get to it. You won’t be sorry.

Sigh, I feel like I can finally breathe again. This series, and this book are all of the good adjectives you use to describe a book: awesome, great, mind-blowing, fun… I can go on and on. I ADORE this series, and Time wraps it all up so nicely.
Mona and Abram are such a perfect couple. Their ups and downs; their quirks and life experiences; just everything about the two of them simply makes me smile. I am now off to start the series again. Trust me this whole series is a keeper.
This third book in the Rockstar trilogy and 6th in the Hypothesis series concludes the genius/rockstar relationship story arc. Mona and Abram finally get their happy ever after.
In this book Mona and Abram are finally together but now dealing with the difficulties of a long distance relationship. Abram’s band is on tour and Mona is headed for Geneva to do research at CERN. Mona is also rehabbing her relationships with her brother and sister who have never really understood her and trying to come to grips with a traumatic event she experienced as a 15 year old college student.
I particularly enjoyed the anti-stereotype portrayal of Abram and the way Mona’s situation as a young, gorgeous, child of a celebrity makes it so difficult to be accepted and treated fairly as an academic. There’s a lot of great commentary on social norms and mores in this book.
Another favorite is the Easter eggs from Reid’s other series, including finally making a few connections I hadn’t made before.
I really enjoyed this series as I have the author’s other series. I am looking forward to the new series promo-ed at the end of this book.
This book starts out where “Laws of Physics: Space” left off. Mona visits her twin sister, Lisa, after Abram goes on tour. Six days of silence from him drives her crazy. Something traumatic from Mona’s past, of which she continues to deny its importance gets revealed to Lisa. The bulk of the story focuses on whether or not Mona and Abram can make things work between them. Both characters are likable. More intriguing than the characters is how Reid’s mind works, researching and planning out chapter names!
Wow! what can I say? I am floored by this love story. I am usually not one for slow burn romances, but I just could not get enough of these two. Abram, a sexy rockstar that knows what he wants in a partner and the cute, hella-smart and sexy Mona that is quite awkward, but will have you laughing out loud. This was the oddest pairing I have ever read about, yet, I was sold from beginning to end. Penny made it work and I loved every bit of it. It was an amazing journey and now I can fall asleep a happy reader!
This series wrecked me but in such a good way! Everything that Penny Reid writes just takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and leaves you begging for another story!
4.5 “I need more epilogue!” Stars
This is a very hard review to write because… first of all? That blurb is just confusing as eff. Second, this book was so great. SO GREAT. But then the epilogue was absolutely insufficient, IMHO.
So, Time… after Motion and Space, I was 1000% engaged and rooting for Mona and Abram. The long wait was absolutely worth it, as theirs was an amazingly epic love story. So much happens in this trilogy. SO MUCH!
Not surprisingly, Abram cements his position as the bestest musician book boyfriend in the history of romance. He was the best. THE BEST! He was just dreamy and perfect in every way imaginable.
Mona had a lot of issues to overcome, and I loved how she finally was able to come out of her shell and begin to deal with all of that. Her character growth was outstanding, and all coming from Abram gently but firmly egging her on.
Time was the completion of this story that had me gripped from the very start. Although the main couple is young, it does not read as NA so don’t let that be a deterrent when you consider reading it.
I absolutely adored everything in this amazing story. Everything. But then, with all the buildup, I was expecting one mother of an epilogue with loads of forward-viewing and some picket fences… or aluminum ones… and thus I was left in a kind of unfinished book buzz… it was weird. So weird!
In a nutshell, Time, as is this whole trilogy is fantastic and everyone should give it a try because I’m pretty sure everyone will love it and enjoy it as much as I did. Just, you know, don’t go crazy with the epilogxpectations.

‘Time’, the third part of this trilogy. Following ‘Motion’ and ‘Space’. It is clear why Penny Reid is one of my favorite authors (although I don’t read everything she writes). The story of Abram and Mona is lovely and well thought-out.
The first part of the story was about Mona and Abram meeting and falling in love, with her impersonating her twin sister Lisa. The second part was about them meeting again in Aspen after more than 2 years, admitting they are in love. And this one is about them fulfilling their respective commitments in different parts of the world, trying to find time to meet up and make it work.
Although I really enjoyed these stories, I wished it had been one book. The wait time between the parts is not long, but for me it made the story more difficult to fuse together. There was the love story between Abram and Mona (lovely), but also the trauma she went through at 15 and her background of neglectful parents. This third part was wonderful, but had I read it directly after part 2 it would have been more powerful for me. My opinion of course.
We never meet Mona’s parents by the way. They are just part of Mona’s past it seems, never in the life of their children at all. I am curious as to who the leads will be in the next trilogy called ‘Fundamentals of Biology’. Some secondary characters in this book (Lisa, Leo…) might get their HEA? One little peeve: Kaitlyn and Martin Sandeke are mentioned in part 2 (‘Space’) but we never hear from them again (did they have a boy or girl? Are they married now?). Maybe they will pop up again in the next trilogy, you never know with Penny Reid 🙂
Time is book three is the Laws of Physics series. The series must be read in order so you need to read Motion and Space before reading Time. This one is a good read. We continue with Mona and Abram. These two a great. They have up and downs but they are truly in love. Abram is swoon worthy and I really liked when Mona talked all science like. These two make a cute couple and this was a sweet read.
Time. Time was not enough. Not nearly enough time with these amazing characters. It is one of those stories where you get to the end and you just want more, more, more. I saw the time left counting down as I read and I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to Mona and Abram. I didn’t get nearly enough time with them even though we had three separate books. I still want more. I loved these two so freakin much and I never wanted their story to end.
Now I am assuming if you are reading this you have read the first two books. Because these are not standalone stories and even though the first one has the most killer cliffhanger ever, all three books are out now so you don’t even have to wait to find out what happens. So go, read the first two books, then read this one. They are all amazing!
Mona and Abram as so freaking awesome together. You know they had that start that could never lead to anything because of the situation and things were not as they seemed, but then when they finally reconnected and actually figured everything out you knew they were it. From the first moments in that first book you see the connection between them. And this story? This final chapter of theirs? Oh, my heart. Yes, they have only known each other for 2 weeks over a few years, but you can see the love they have. Even if Mona is uncertain, or Abram worries the distance and time will be too much, they obviously deeply love each other. Care about each other so much. Want each other to be happy and healthy and have everything. I never wanted to leave them.
Mona, in this chapter, finally has people pushing her to work through some things that happened to her. Things that she has always downplayed as nothing happened even though it affects her to this day. Even though it makes her question things and not react the way she wants in certain situations. She is so incredibly smart and kind and wonderful, but can be very stubborn when it comes to letting people help her and admitting things she sees as weakness. She doesn’t want to talk about what happens, wants to try and push it aside and have it magically go away, but that doesn’t work. And those parts of this story? Those moments when the people who care about her want her to talk to someone and figure things out in a way so that she can have a happy, healthy relationship with those she loves? They were amazing. Because I know exactly how that is. I know how you push those thoughts aside, try not to think about them, don’t vocalize what happens because then maybe it didn’t even though it is affecting your life. I was her for a very long time. It took me years and meeting someone kind and wonderful who helped push me to the path of getting help and figuring out how to deal with my trauma and to even admit that there was something that was affecting me. To admit that someone hurt me and that was affecting any relationship I tried to have. It is hard to sit down and evaluate, to deal with what happened. And, like Mona, it doesn’t have to be some huge traumatic event. It can be something small, something not as bad as others have had, but it if affects you it affects you. It is not nothing no matter how much you try and convince yourself. And it can be very difficult to acknowledge that. So for Mona to be working through that, having people who care about her try and help however they can, it was wonderful to read. Because not everyone has that. My heart ached for her and I loved watching her work through all this and figure out how to be with Abram. They definitely don’t have the easiest first year of being together simply because of distance. It is hard to be apart and in different time zones and only get a few moments here and there. They were amazing. Magical. I loved them both so much.
Abram is such a wonderful person. He is so sweet and kind and caring and only wants Mona to be happy. He is so lonely without her. He misses her so so much when they are not together and longs for that time when they will be. When they are together things are so easy for the most part. So simple to sit and chat for hours. To just be together. And he wants to keep anything from harming her. I loved the discussions they had about how certain things could affect Mona’s career and everything she has worked for. How Abram supports her 100% in everything she wants to do. How he tries his hardest to think about how his actions may affect her so that they hopefully won’t affect her negatively. Because he hates seeing her hurt. The beginning of this story was a bit…Mona’s sister was making me really angry and I couldn’t quite put my finger on why exactly until Abram called it out and stood up for Mona. Before he told the sister what she was doing and how it was not cool. That was one of my favorite moments. Not that Mona needed him to stand up for her, needed him to fight for her, but he will. He will be there for her no matter what.
These two were destined to be together and their ride was a bumpy one. I loved that this third book was about them getting to know each other and date long distance. Them working out how this will work with both of them super busy with their careers. Because even though it is difficult, it works out in the end. These two are everything. They wrap me up in all the feels when they are together and happy. I wanted more. I wanted so much more. I want to read about their everyday life once they are in the same place at the same time forever. I want to read them forever. I guess that just means I need to re-read this wonderful series because I am not ready to say goodbye to Mona and Abram.

The third and final instalment in the Laws of Physics Series is here and wow what a brilliant way to end. Once you start this book you will be hooked so make sure you have some uninterrupted time as heaven help whoever interrupts you.
Abram and Mona are finally together but are dealing with a long distance relationship with Mona being in Geneva doing her research and Abram touring with his band.
I loved how Abram loved Mona, he misses her when he is away from her. Mona is becoming stronger thanks to the love and support from Abram.
In true Penny fashion she delivered her trademark wit, swooning and all around feel good feelings. This is why I love her writing, she never disappoints her readers.
It is safe to say that I became addicted to this series in book one, Motion, and stayed tht way through all three books. I waited anxiously for each installment and was completely devoted to Mona and Abram’s happiness, but only if that happiness was as a couple, thank goodness Penny Reid loves a good HEA!
Abram has to be one of my favorite book boyfriends ever, he’s everything you want a guy to be, intelligent, sexy, kind, thoughtful, a bit of an alpha but not jerk alpha; just totally and completely swoon worthy! But it’s not all just about Abram, though I can’t tell you enough how much I adore him, Mona is completely awesome, she is exactly all those things that Abram is and it’s hard not to fall head over heels into love with her.
Their story is one that you have to experience from beginning to end with out my interference. You need to go in a bit blind so that you can let their relationship build and slowly, so that you can let the beauty of everything that happens come over you like a wave. That said I don’t want to tell you too much. What you should know is that Penny does a wonderful job of bringing this couple together, and finishing up their HEA in a way that leaves you completely happy and satisfied. In fact I am really sad that their story has come to it’s end because I need more, but I am completely hopeful that we will get Mona’s sibling’s stories, I need them Penny, NEEEEED THEM!
This book, this series will leave you with all the feels, if you are a contemporary romance fan this needs to be a must read on your summer reading list and lucky you the series is now complete so you won’t have the agony of waiting to find out what happens next, I am kinda jealous of you right now. Do not wait to get this one, when you need a perfect summer romance this series needs to be your go to!
~ HAPPY READING ~
So Drew Runous (from Beauty and the Mustache) is my favorite of Penny’s heroes, but Abram is a CLOSE CLOSE second! And not surprisingly, both men write poetry. Abram’s is just in song lyrics.
I loved that Mona and Abram were together during this entire book. They never broke up and nor had to come back to each other again. They were just together. I loved how it was about them discovering each other.
I loved how Penny dealt with Mona’s past and how positively she wrote about therapy. I myself have dealt with many of the thoughts and issues that Mona dealt with and this book was incredibly validating.
I loved everything that had to do with Mona and Lisa’s relationship. I have a sister and the way they worked things out echoed my own relationship with my sister and was once again, validating. I also have a brother who treated me poorly when we were young as had to do the same thing Leo did for Mona. It was all wonderful.
The whole series was just FANTASTIC! I LOVED the epilogue. I love seeing the ladies from Knitting In The City and seeing Mona interact with them.
There’s 2.5 sex scenes. They’re very detailed and explicit. And hot hot hot! There’s few uses of the f- word and other curse words, but not an overabundance of them.
Everything about Mona and Abram was PERFECTION.
Oh Time, why must you fly so quickly? How was this book such a freaking roller coaster? How can Penny play with my emotions so much in such a short period of time? I absolutely ADORE Mona and Abram, they’re one of the best fictional couples out there and no one can convince me otherwise. Fight me. Mona’s justifications for the way that the people around her, family included, treated and talked about and to her was so incredibly sad and heartbreaking. The ways that Abram saw through her exterior, and really really saw what was underneath, and encouraged her to cry, to feel those emotions, to be herself, to see her worth, got me in the feels every time. Everyone needs and deserves that kind of love and safe space. Getting a glimpse of characters from her other books always makes me smile. It feels like we’re old friends who have bumped into each other and are taking a minute to catch up. I am always blown away by Penny Reid and the depths of her books, and I usually learn a few things along the way. Thank you Penny for doing what you do, please don’t ever stop.
Time by Penny Reid is the third book in her three-part Laws of Physics series. The final part of the story of Mona and Abram and all the angst we have been salivating for!
Picking up a week after the end of Space we are witness to Mona’s emotional melt down – a first for her and all the fears she has after Abram left Aspen. The feels are just so much – I read this book perched on the edge of my seat snarling at any who dare interrupt. Mona and Abram are exquisite – two people I’d love to know. With faults and flaws and awesomeness and together they are everything.
You MUST read this series in order or there just isn’t any point. The build of the characters, their family, their friends, their relationship – Gah! LOVED IT! – was superbly-written and perfectly paced. The slow burn is a hard thing to manage without the reader (me) losing interest but I promise I was engaged through every page of this story. Enjoy!
Time is the third and final book in the Laws of Physics trilogy and my absolute favorite of the series.
I adore Mona in all her quirky amazingness. In TIME, Mona has to really find the path to heal herself. When the truth of her past is fully revealed I felt a powerful personal connection to the story and I think lots of women will also see themselves in Mona.
“It’s damaging for Mona DaVinci to sit quietly and let others dictate her—my—personal life. Then what good have I done? History—the good kind of history—is seldom made by those who keep their head down.”
Abram is SO patient and loving and caring!! I think everyone will want their own Abram to take home and keep!!
“My grin grew because she was smiling at me, her eyes dazed and warm and happy, and I lost myself a little in her gorgeous whiskey gaze. Truly, she was breathtaking.
I could get used to this, making Mona happy on accident, just by being myself.”
This trilogy as a whole is gorgeous and breathtaking with a wonderful epilogue that gives us little sneak peeks at some of our favorite Penny Reid characters like Abram’s sister Marie.
-5+ Stars-
TIME is one phenomenal roller coaster rise of sheer brilliance!
Every scene was out all most out film. So, explosively spelling I was knocked speechless. Just so enamored of what imaginative work of I art I just read!
This! This is what I’ve been waiting for since I started and fell head over feet in love with Abram and Mona. That’s not to say that Penny Reid made it easy on them- oh no. The rollercoaster of missed moments continues in epic fashion.
But it was all about the love here. The good days. The hard days. The lonely days. The communication. The connection. Sharing hopes and dreams and thoughts and fears. Working though all the time they missed. Balancing schedules that drew them in opposite directions. Different parts of the globe. Learning to navigate a relationship. Mending fences. Making plans for the future.
I LOVED how Abram stood up for Mona. How he put her first even with his beyond hectic schedule. Hoe he taught her to see her worth though his eyes. And how Mona returned the favor when he needed her most. She saw the man with the tender heart, the man behind the lyrics. And that ending- swoon city. Time is the perfect conclusion to this wonderfully original series and exactly what these two needed and deserved.
4 stars. Time is the conclusion to the Laws of Physics trilogy and Mona and Abram’s story. I was happy with the way Ms. Reid wrapped up their story. After Space, Mona and Abram have been honest with each other and both want a future together. But they aren’t sure how to get there, with Abram’s band going on tour and Mona’s working in Geneva for a while. They have a lot to deal with in busy schedules, handling the fact they are both famous and press, and trying to stay connected while building a new relationship. But the two of them are determined. They have already been through a lot, are in love and are willing to do anything to make their relationship work and support each other.
I liked this book. It was sweet, but also angsty at times. I really loved both Mona and Abram. They loved each other so much. I enjoyed that they were both determined to stay together and there was no pushing away or om/ow drama. I enjoyed the story, the writing and the way it all concluded. I do think it was a little slower moving and lacking the intensity of book 2 (which was my favorite in the series). Much of the book was one tone, without a big climax. I also would have liked a further ahead epilogue. But, overall, this was a good book and an easy read.
I enjoyed this book and the other books in the trilogy. I was happy to see Mona and Abram get the HEA they deserved. I look forward to more from Ms. Reid in the future!
What a fantastic conclusion! So many great things happen between Mona and Abram that I didn’t want the book to end. That slow burn, the build up….nailed it! These two are a delight, a delight I say!
