Abram owned me! He grabbed a hold of my heart when this story was put into Motion and he made sure not to let go when he refused to leave any Space between himself and his love. When he and Mona finally found some Time, he decided to finally claim me. And I was oh so willing to be claimed!!
Abram was perfection! I must admit that as much as I’ve loved Mona, she irked me a bit in this book. Abram’s love was so all-consuming that her love felt like an add-on. It wasn’t as powerful or as moving as his. I’m sure I shouldn’t be comparing how they love, but it was impossible to resist. So while there was no doubt that Mona loves her some Abram, his love for her was a lot more obvious.
No one fucks with Mona. No. One.
“It’s living artistry, Mona.” Abram’s gaze turned cherishing, earnest. “Being with you is like living in a song.”
“I love you with every part of myself, you’ve invaded every corner, every secret place, and I only want – I’ve only ever wanted – your happiness.”
See what I’m saying? I couldn’t find not one quote from Mona to encapsulate the same feeling. Sorry, not sorry. But never fear, these two are in love and despite the many obstacles they face, such as time and space, they don’t let any of that stop them from being together. With Abram’s endless patience and understanding, I can only envision a rapturous future for them both.
I have book hangover. I don’t think I’ve ever read a series so fast and furious. Ms. Reid was heartless with her extreme cliffhanger endings. I am sleep deprived, nutritionally unbalanced, I’ve been living on ice cream and chips, can’t stop to cook ! and behind on my real life work. It was so worth it. Finally Moma and Abram got ….. omg seriously you think I’d tell you. HAHA. Read the series, it’s toe curling, heart wrenching, fun.
And thus I die
This is the emotional ending to Abram and Mona’s story, and to me it was the best read of the three installments.
I have been looking forward to this final read, though finding the Time to get to it was the issue. I am glad I made myself sit down this weekend and devour this book.
It was kind of of like Abram and Mona did a freaky friday switch kind of thing, where our lovely Mona came right out of her shell, and Abram was the more careful one. I was glad that Mona finally told Abram and others what happened when she was younger, and that she was taking charge of it.
Lucky for Leo, he changed his tune a lot in this book, and I actually kind of liked him in the end, and I never saw that happening.

Talk about book hangover…
OMG…
The feels, not only in this book alone, but the trilogy as a whole are immense!
And they ran the gamut: sweet, swoony, frustrating, irate, heartbreaking, heart melting, gut wrenching and mind boggling…and these are just a few and yet it was all worth it as everything finally evened out and balance (of a sort) was a achieved (And, yes, I did consider attempting a “Mona-ish” style explanation but that would have made my head explode) But no matter the ‘feel’ that had me in its grasp, this book was addicting and extremely difficult to put down.
Abram and Mona. They both drove me crazy, even when things started to go right between them, but I loved watching them evolve and start to become the people they were always meant to be. Are they absolutely who they are meant to be in the end? Yes and no, because as was stated in the book (and I am paraphrasing) ‘Change is the one constant, but things don’t truly change’ This is especially true for these two. They are changing, evolving, healing, but they are very much exactly who they have always been. As for their journey to their HEA. I loved how they ended up balancing each other out and becoming each others safe place to land and still finding ways to keep each other on their toes.
This one did my heart, and my head, in big time, but it was totally worth it! These characters were all well developed and unique and it was easy to get drawn into their world and not want to leave. As always, the time and effort and care the author takes with her words and how she uses them is extremely apparent and shows just how much she loved writing all aspects of this story. As for the supporting characters, Marie was my favorite of the bunch, but I definitely wouldn’t mind seeing Leo, Lisa and even Gabby getting their own HEA’s in the future…so, here’s to hoping! *crosses toes*

TIME is the third and final instalment in Penny Reid’s contemporary, adult LAWS OF PHYSICS romance trilogy focusing on twenty-one year old physics genius Mona Tang DaVinci, and twenty-five year old musician Abram Harris Fletcher. LAWS OF PHYSICS is the second trilogy in the author’s HYPOTHESIS series but can be read as a stand alone series without any difficulty. Abram was first introduced in the Elements of Chemistry series (a subset of the Hypothesis series).
NOTE: TIME should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events of book two SPACE. If you have not read MOTION or SPACE, there may be some spoilers in my review.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Mona and Abram) TIME focuses on the building relationship and struggle between twenty-one year old physics genius Mona Tang DaVinci, and twenty-five year old musician Abram Harris Fletcher. Abram’s band Redburn is about to go on tour forcing another separation between our leading couple when Mona accepts a research position at the CERN in Switzerland. Nights apart mean texting and emails are their preferred form of contact, contact that is interrupted by illness, surprise visits and broken hearts. As Abram battles his loneliness without he woman he loves, Mona must contend with the fall-out and forgiveness between her siblings and herself.
TIME: LAWS OF PHYSICS is a character driven story about a young woman struggling to discover who she is and what she wants. Emotionally battered and scarred, Mona DaVinci will come to terms with her past, her family, and the man with whom she has fallen in love. From secret and lies, forgiveness and understanding, to setting the stage for what is and what will be, the LAWS OF PHYSICS trilogy is an emotional, realistic and moving story of love and the heart.
Rock stars and rocket scientists? Hell yes! The trilogy is now complete!
A (brokenhearted) physicist.
A now infamous (who is LITERALLY EVERYWHERE!!) rockstar.
What happens next? Only TIME will tell.
The best rom-com because of the strong characters and witty personalities.
Time (Laws of Physics #3) by Penny Reid is a new adult, romantic comedy told in first person, dual POV. It is book 6 in the Hypothesis Series, and book 3, the conclusion, of the Laws of Physics serial trilogy. The story picks up right where the previous one ended.
Mona and Abram have finally worked everything out and are pursuing a relationship with each other but they haven’t had much time together. Abram is touring with his band and Mona is working on her research in Europe. They have made plans to meet for a day or two here and there whenever they both have a break in their busy schedules. Mona also has some past trauma to work through.
Can their budding relationship survive the long distance? Will Abram’s fame get in the way? How will the media react to Mona and Abram as a couple?
As a huge fan, I’ve read all of Penny Reid’s books, and Mona and Abram are one of my very favorite couples that she has written. I love them so much! Mona grew so much over the course of the series. It was wonderful to see her confidently come into her own. Abram was such a loving source of support. His encouragement helped Mona to seek out the help she needed in order to heal. This book is also full of easter eggs and it was so much fun to see mentions of so many characters from the Knitting in the City series and Dear Professor series included. Beautiful, emotional, witty, charming, romantic, and steamy – this was the perfect ending to the trilogy. I absolutely loved it!

Penny Reid will always be my favourite contemporary author no matter what because I feel in love with her writing and her way of telling us stories full of real feelings and so reliable characters, to the point that we actually believe in our minds that the Winston brothers exist in reality and all the characters from Knitting in the city could be some of our friends or family members.
With the final chapter of this new series Law of Physics:Time, I believe even more than ever that this author should be a must read and study her work in college or university and everyone should read at least one of her books.
Time has always the last word in everything we do because we need time for every little thing, for an idea to form, for a second of time to realize that we are falling in love, for a few days or weeks to accept that our life would be better and more fulfilling with the right person next to us, as well as time to wait for that person to be next to us at the right time for them also.
I loved the story of Mona and Abram, their banter, they feelings of happiness and heartbreak and wishful of a future together, their journey to get their well deserved happily ever after with all the sacrifice and time to wait for the right moment, everything in between and more, because once again, love will go through everything to find that peace in our characters life and heart.
Waiting impatient for more stories.
GAH!! Penny Reid’s Laws of Physics series has been absolutely amazing. Time was just the absolute cherry on this fabulous series. I have been addicted to Abram and Mona’s story from the beginning and seriously could not get enough of their banter, quirky and delightfully awkward sexiness (Yes it’s a thing and we love everything about this!) I loved how this story was full of swoons and amazing moments. I could not get enough of this FANTASTIC series!
When Abram and Mona are reunited after their declarations in the cabin they are determined to make it work, even though a long distance relationship is difficult. I love how dedicated and committed they were to one another. It was heartwarming to see Abram’s love for her and how much he cherished her. But, Mona was the star of the show for me as her honest and straightforward nature was just so genuine. I loved everything about Mona and Abram, their story and seriously can’t wait for more! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula
And thus, I die.
I am not going to lie, this book was SO different from I expected it to be. I fully intended to spend the majority of the book drowning in angst but this was totally not what happened!!
I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I was smiling and laughing throughout this story. Don’t get me wrong, there were plenty of moments that tugged at my heart and I even almost cried a few times, but I loved seeing Mona and Abram feeling more comfortable and relaxed with each other and in their relationship. The banter between them, combined with their candid honesty and openness was refreshing and honestly, adorable.
This is definitely my favorite book of the series, which makes sense because we get to see how everything comes together for them AND because some of my favorite Penny Reid characters make an appearance!!
4.5 stars really. I was hanging on the edge of my seat waiting for this final book to wrap up everything after how the last book ended. You can read my review of the first two books here: Motion and Space. This one began in a way that I was a little unsure if I would love it as much as the other two. You see, they were apart for a lot of it, even though they kind of/maybe were really together? Abram was on tour, and Mona had her work at the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland, as well as her other graduate work. But soon they were texting and face-timing, and then even getting to see each other, despite a few missed chances like because Abram got really sick one time.
When they did get together though, it was like sparks lighting a fire. The heat between them, the love between them, and eventually all the figuring out of how they really and truly fit together and what they wanted for themselves individually and as a couple. I loved how everything came together. I was so happy with how Abram’s family dealt with Mona’s early charade as her sister Lisa when she first met them, I mean I’d hate to lose my Harry Potter loving friends! So glad to have them back. And when Mona related to her family, as well as to Abram what had happened to her and how it influenced how she felt about things, felt it was her fault, that because of that she shouldn’t like some of the things Abram did with her, it touched a part of me that feels the same because of my own experiences.
It’s about damn TIME (hah puns)! After two books and two years for our couple, Mona and Abram finally have time together. This wasn’t the typical collision of hero and heroine where there is struggle and strife to keep themselves together. There’s an instant connection back together at the beginning that sets the tone for the final chapter of the trilogy. Filled with love and light, this duo are truly in love with one another but are bogged down by their own worries before they can fully encompass themselves with each other. Mona is stuck on her past and Abram is stuck on how to help her through it. We’ve seen Mona’s family and friends in the past try to encourage her to speak to a professional about the “trauma” she experienced but Mona seems to have some guilt over it. It’s not that she deserved or isn’t strong enough to handle it; it’s that Mona doesn’t trust herself to handle it let alone anyone else.
Abram is the *perfect* boyfriend for Mona. Strong, caring, and understanding. Whether Mona is surprising him or revealing a truth he is undeniably 100% there for her. He understands her “quirks” and knows just how her brain works. Sometimes Mona can be succinct and direct and other times she needs a good cry in his arms (don’t we all?). I love that despite his intense emotions towards Mona, Abram remains steadfast. Revealing her past, Abram is upset that it happened to her (understandably so) but he doesn’t bully her to get help or tell her HOW she has to overcome it. Instead he encourages her with the options she has for acceptance and repair. And when she takes it a step further to tell him how she feels when they are intimate, whoooo boy does Abram have the BEST reaction. He is DOWN for whatever Mona wants to do.
I love that the final book was about Mona and Abram finally being together. No more pining, no more lies, no more distance. Just two people finally enjoying one another’s company and falling more and more in love. It’s the happiest ending to a book I’ve read in while (not that I ever read non-HEA cause gross! Lol). But it didn’t have this climax where the readers would fear they may not stick it out. There are small hills that they both had to overcome but it only built them up stronger. So so happy with this ending!!
Shel: You know what is the best thing ever? The best thing ever is when you’ve been waiting for the final book in a series to be published and when it is, you’re on spring break with all the time in the world to read it. This rarely happens but it happened to me with Time and it was the best day I’ve had in a long time. Court: I could not put it down, either! I will admit I was very nervous about what this book would contain but I sucked it up for once and got on with it!
Shel: If you’ve read this series, you’ve got to be like me and just so EAGER to see how things are going to work out with Mona and Abram. There were so many things I hoped to would happen, hoped to know more about, and I’m happy to say all of my hopes and expectations were exceeded. Mona and Abram were just as quirky, funny, sexy, and swoony as I wanted them to be. Their romance was just so gahhh wonderful. Their reactions to things were mature and measured and passionate and sweet. Their conflicts were easily overcome and their happily ever after was just right for them–though I would not complain if I got more of them at some point in the future…like a lot more of them *smiles/begs*. Court: Agreed. These are some of the most well written characters we’ve had in a long time. I love Mona. I love how she works for what she wants in her field…she’s a genius for goodness sakes…but at the same time I loved how much she grew as a character over this series too.
Shel: I not only loved everything about this final book, I loved the entire series. The ideas of intelligence, what it means to be a family, truth and honesty, love and romance, the discrepancy of how men and women are treated in the world and in their professions, the focus on consent, assault, and therapy–I could go on and on and on–all of these were woven into this final book and in a way that never felt like it was too much or too preachy or too anything (other than too short because I want more of these guys). And how much fun was it to see some of our favorite characters from other Penny Reid novels? SO MUCH FUN. Court: I know, right! Penny Reid is the genius in how she keeps giving us more original stories and original characters are aren’t just slapped on the page. We appreciate that more than anything as a reader (not jaded at all, am I?) and her love of writing and of these characters shined through this series.
Shel: In the last year or so I’ve become so enamored with all that Penny Reid writes and Time continues my complete adoration and solidifies something we all know–Penny Reid is a definite 1-click writer for me.Court: And…we hope you do the same!
Time is the conclusion to the tumultuous relationship of Mona and Abram, and I couldn’t wait to dive it. With Penny’s signature quirk and wit, this emotional, touching, sexy and endearing story did not dissapoint. I loved this trilogy with a pair that although complete opposites, are still made for each other. Despite time and distance this pair have an enduring love story. I adored all the characters, who are complex and appealing, and the epilogue was the perfect ending to Mona and Abram’s story.

4.5 Stars
As I fan of this trilogy this is the book I’ve been waiting for! This blew my expectations I had going in. It delivered on all the feels I wanted when it came to this book. Mona and Abram grabbed my heart and never let go. There was plenty of happy sighing when it comes to these two. I’ve been anticipating this book, but also a little sad to see this trilogy come to an end. I highly recommend this trilogy and do read it in order. You’ll fall in love with the characters pretty fast. One of my favorite things is watching Mona blossom from book one through the last. How much Abram helps her find herself and be okay being her. It’s not all sunshine and roses because they are tested, but the destination is so worth it!
TIme is Book 3 in the Laws of Physics series, and if you haven’t read the first 2 please stop reading to avoid spoilers!!
From the very moment that Mona & Abram met in Motion I have been addicted to these characters, their story, and the series in general. Something about these two just tugged on my heartstrings, and I feel like I’ve been rooting for them harder than I have any fictional couple in a while. And now that the final book is here, I couldn’t contain my excitement to see how it would all play out and was crossing everything I could that they would get their happily ever after.
“I love you with every part of myself, you’ve invaded every corner, every secret place, and I only want—I’ve only ever wanted—your happiness. If you want me to stay, then with you is always where I want to be.”
After finally professing their feelings in Space right before Abram left to go on tour, Mona & Abram are left in a state of limbo. With no way to reach each other, doubt starts creeping in immediately and everyone (I’m including us readers in this one!) is on edge. Luckily their initial separation is short-lived, but it’s about to be extended indefinitely and this brand new couple is about to have their relationship tested from the very beginning.
One of my favorite things about this book and the characters, in general, is that they stayed true to themselves. Penny Reid could have taken the easy way out and had one of them give up on their dreams the moment they admitted their feelings to each other and guaranteed a happy ending. But she did them justice and not only let them live the lives they had been building for the past two books, but she let them soar. They fell in love with the people they were inside – the nerdy physicist and adorably shy rock star – and it wouldn’t have been right to have either give up who they were.
While I think Abram & Mona were given the ending they desperately deserved, I didn’t love this book as much as the first two. Not to say I didn’t love it, because I definitely did, I just wanted a little bit more. I think the fact that the first two books were both written over such short spans of time, and this one finally gave them more than mere days to tell their story. I absolutely loved their ending and wouldn’t change a thing about it, but I was hoping for a little extra on the journey there. I really hope to see these characters again in the future, and am holding out hope that Lisa gets her own story as well!!
You can always count on Penny Reid to write a smart book. I truly enjoy whatever she writes. She never drags on a problem more than necessary adding unnecessary angst to a situation. Her characters don’t have a problem thinking about a problem and reaching a logical conclusion. She writes level headed realistic characters. Characters that you would aspire to be, and no two characters were as levelheaded as Abram and Mona.
Sometimes a bit too level headed.
Often times level headedness makes for boring characters. But not for me. Somehow Penny made all of it work. Since Abram and Mona didn’t drag on their problems, the cliffhanger with which we were left with from book 2 was resolved fairly quickly. The characters met again, and thus began their foray into a relationship. I liked how neither of them rushed into things, and how Abram- of all people- was the voice of reason.
While the Law of Physics series may not be as fast paced as Elements of Chemistry series, that was the beauty of it. I hope that the people who read these books will stick to the end because it is all worth it.
5 stars.

My Review:
I adored this series as well as the precious and cleverly matched couple of Mona and Abram; they were fascinatingly complex, multi-layered, and beautifully textured by the divinely talented Penny Reid. Suffering heinous cliffhangers and a near-fatal dose of angst, finally, (yes finally!) the TIME was right, the planets aligned, and hopefully, soonish, the tension in my neck and shoulders will abate as Abram and Mona have finally fallen into sync with an exceptionally cunning, fun, and smirk-worthy ending.
