Law of Physics Book 3: Time by Penny Reid
3.5*
Mona and Abram’s story continues in this final installment of this series. They continued to be the utterly delightful and endearing characters that they have been throughout and it’s been an overall enjoyable journey to take with them. While *we* get to spend time with Mona and Abram, they spend most of their time apart in this book as they navigate the world of long-distance relationships with many other commitments. I enjoyed this book and loved the slow-burn. However, I felt as though something was missing for me and I can’t place my finger on exactly what it was. Nonetheless, it was a conclusion that suited the characters and, missing elements aside, it’s a series I’ll be returning to down the track.
*I voluntarily read an early copy of this book.

Time has definitely been one of my most anticipated books for April. I was completely jealous of all the iBook readers since they got the chance to read it earlier, but it was absolutely worth the wait.
With Time, everything was wrapped up in a nice little bow. Abram and Mona’s story in this one constantly left me on the edge of my seat. After the way Space ended, we were all elated that they were finally together, but with obligations and several months without a consistent schedule, they weather through making time for one another. Even if it’s just 24 hours!
I loveeeeeeeed that we get every little vulnerability of being in a long distance relationship. Everything they were going through with their thoughts and emotions was completely real and relatable. I did nearly 2 years of long distance with my now husband and I understood all of it.
Abram was absolutely EVERYTHING in the conclusion! I simply couldn’t get enough of him and just fell deeply in love with him. If you were iffy about him before, be ready to just be swooning all over him.
And Mona, besides love, she had a bit of a personal journey to endure and that was to finally face her past and working through what happened to her at such a young age. She had so many things to come to terms with and I was all for her growth in this final book.
Their love is just soooo deep and profound, and you can feel every ounce of it! I’m a huge fan of Penny’s work, she has her own brand of romance that’s sooooo easy to pick out. I’m so happy that she gave us Abram and Mona’s story, it’s one that everyone needs to read. It’s soooo real and relatable , it’s not a cookie cutter kind of story.
Thank you, Penny, for giving us a story that we need to read. They break the mold, they talk about real issues and it’s something that everyone can relate to. Thank you for giving us your words, I’m forever a fan.
I’m so sad to say farewell to this series, but I’m hopeful that we’ll see Abram and Mona again.

And thus it has ended….. and it was perfection!
Time is the third and final installment in Penny Reid’s latest serialized novel, Laws of Physics (the other two books being Motion and Space) and yes we do get a very happy ending (that’s not a spoiler that would be a given!) but most of all I get a wonderful, complicated, fantastic love journey between two marvelous, flawed but beautiful individuals. Time isn’t a straightforward love story, its also a relationship guideline of how two people separated by distance and limited by time can find ways to always constantly gravitate and move towards each other because they just have to be within each others orbit. Mona and Abram work for their relationship, they constantly commit to each other and trust each other despite their very different worlds. I love how Time shows the reader how much work is really involve in loving someone and how hard it is but ultimately how marvelous the pay off is in the end. Time is poignant, bittersweet, it is sexy and sensual and romantic but its also insightful, compassionate, thoughtful and even full of empathy. Mona and Abram will definitely be one of my favorite characters from hereon.
What a fantastic conclusion to this story! I adored every word in these books.
“I’m going to fight the world for you.”
Mona and Abram totally captured my heart. Mona, for all her brilliant genius, finds personal relationships a minefield to navigate and she’s filled with doubt over Abram. While he totally yearns for her. Their lifestyles are completely opposite but they are so right for one another. Abram has such a depth of understanding for Mona that squeezes my heart, and I fell in love with the way he was determined to overcome any obstacle to be with her.
A brilliant, well-told series and definitely a Top Read for this year!
It’s finally here. The moment I’ve been waiting for.
Abram and Mona’s conclusion.
Time was everything I hoped for and more. If you recall, at the end of Space, Mona and Abram had essentially made up but were soon separated due to previous commitments. Abram moved on to being a rock star and going on tour, and Mona continued being a genius physicist planning to study abroad.
They reconnect and much of Time includes time spent apart (you see what I did there?). The dialogue, conversations between the two, the inner deepest thoughts; all were beautifully written and exposed.
Was Abram a little too perfect, and Mona a little too quirky genius-y at times? Perhaps, but does that really matter? Not to Queen B, it doesn’t.
5 “My Heart Is Yours” stars!
Mona DaVinci is a brilliant, world famous scientist who is used to being in control. She analyzes and plans everything, except falling for a sexy musician who makes her feel alive. The problem is they are on different paths leading two separate lives with conflicting schedules. She’s a genius physicist and he’s a talented rock star. While she’s doing research, he’s touring. As the frontman of the band Redburn, Abram has a responsibility to his band, his record label, and his fans. He’s asked Mona to trust that they will figure things out and make it work.
Mona is trying to be patient and practical about Abram, but her emotions have never been this twisted up before. She came back from Aspen feeling broken and a mess. She couldn’t figure when she became this lovesick girl she didn’t recognize. Her heavy intense feelings were consuming her as she longs for this man that both calmed and excited her. When she was with Abram it was so easy and effortless. She could be herself. She wanted normalcy and consistency in her life, but she ached for his touch. She was mesmerized by his external beauty and addicted to his kind heart. Could he be “the one?”
Time is book three in the Laws of Physics series, and the highly anticipated conclusion to Abram & Mona’s love story. This book was just everything! I adore Abram and his beautiful heart, and I loved all the emotion we get with this book. It was perfection, and this man is now my favorite Penny Reid book boyfriend. He’s just swoon worthy on another level. I devoured and enjoyed every moment of this book and this series! Just amazing and will definitely be in my top reads for 2019.
In book 3 we see Mona opening up to her twin, her brother and Abram about a previous altercation with a TA at 15. Although I am sure her lack of parental love and understanding contributed to her dislike of touch as well.
Watching Mona become more emotionally intelligent from her interactions with Abram is very heartwarming.
Abram, is like the proverbial unicorn. He’s a young man with deep feelings and the ability to avoid temptation from gorgeous women whilst on tour with his rock band…
I enjoyed the catch up with our favourite knitting in the city gals. Abram’s family are lovely.
I was confused as to who Broderick was in the epilogue and how he fitted into the band. Is Abram definitely finished with touring?
I loved this book and this series. This author always has a wonderful way with words. I definitely recommend this book, this series, and this author.
Humor, heat and plenty of emotion, the perfect conclusion
Book 3 in the Laws of Physics series, I’ve been waiting anxiously for this story since the ending of Space left me an emotional mess. Note you really want to read this series in order as the first two books both end in cliffhangers. While you don’t need to have read anything else, you get bonus points for also reading Laws of Chemistry (as we first meet Abram there) and the Knitting in the City books due to character crossovers.
Part of the reason I love this series so much is due to how strongly I relate to Mona—okay, not so much the genius part, lol, but a lot of the rest. Smart, and nerdy and vulnerable, I love the growth we see in Mona over the course of the series, and I really feel she comes into her own in this book as she starts to deal with some of her issues. We get to see vulnerability from Abram as well, and he also makes it clear just how much he really is into Mona. I loved how caring he was, and how much effort he was willing to put in to make things work between them.
While the majority of the book is centered on Mona and Abram, there are a few secondary characters around. For KitC fans, Abram’s sister Marie makes a couple of appearances, and several other characters from the series get appearances and/or mentions as well, enough to have me laughing and contemplating an immediate KitC series reread. There are also Mona’s siblings: I haven’t been much of a Lisa fan, and just when I thought I might have to revise my opinion because of how caring she was towards Mona at the beginning of this book, she completely blows it (I was cheering when she gets told off by Abram, lol) and brother Leo, who I had liked in book 2, lost a lot of points as well. They did both mostly manage to redeem themselves, though.
Humor, heat and plenty of emotion, plus an ending I adored, made this the perfect conclusion to a perfect series that’s going on my list of favorites for the year (the author tried to break my heart again with a sneak peak of Beard with Me, but that’s literally another story *grins*). 5+ stars

5 brave stars!
Penny Reid is known for her smart romances. They are full of depth and intellect, and make you think about life, love, and people in a new way. She pushes us to consider things that are different, difficult, important and real. No two books are the same and she has an unlimited imagination as she gives us her unique characters and one-of-a-kind romances. Time, the third book in the Law of Physics Trilogy , is one of these books. It is the much anticipated finale to Mona and Abram’s love story, and I loved everything about it!
“Being with your is like living in a song”
Mona and Abram have come together during a crazy time. Life is busy and they have commitments that pull them apart. Their love is new but fierce, and they have much to overcome before time is on their side.
Time gave me everything I wanted and more. The rock-star storyline isn’t uncommon in itself but Reid’s unique take on the trope makes it captivating. And it’s her original characters that make this a remarkable read. Mona and Abram’s lives can’t be more different but it is what’s inside that makes them perfect for each other. They continue to be genuine, goodhearted people. They learn to trust and they grow as they take chances. Mona’s journey of self-discovery and healing is empowering. I loved her honesty, straight forwardness, and bravery. There is a lot she has to work through to truly understand herself, and Abram is there through it all.
Abram is amazing!!! OMG, he is better than ever! I loved watching him show Mona just how special she is. He understands her and loves every single part of her. He has her best interest in mind and she always comes first. Nothing can change his mind.
“I love you with every part of myself, you’ve invaded every corner, every secret place, and I only want—I’ve only ever wanted—your happiness. If you want me to stay, then with you is always where I want to be.”
*dreamy sigh*
Time finally gives us the sexy time we’ve been dying for, and the wait was well worth it. It is scorching, consuming, overwhelming, and so far from just physical need. It is intense on an emotional level as they accept each other wholeheartedly.
I was wholly and completely enamored. I’m talking fucking stars-for-eyes, cartoon-heart-beating-out-of-my-chest euphoric, convinced that this, being with her like this, so close, just us, exposed and vulnerable to and with each other was my heaven on earth.
Their relationship is functional and real, and I felt their connection. They just get each other. They go all in and they don’t back down. They love fiercely and completely, and though the drama is not over the top, the challenges are realistic and full of feels as they fight for a future together.
“So this time, don’t leave.
This time, tell me you’ll stay.
This time, don’t let life steal you away.”
Overall, I couldn’t have asked for more from Time. It’s smart, romantic, sweet, and sexy, and the perfect ending to a beautiful love story.
The Laws of Physics trilogy has been my favorite read of 2019 so far!! I just completely adored every single word. Seriously, you all NEED to be reading it, especially if you love slow-burn romances with intense feelings and complex characters. And now that the entire series is complete you can devour it all from start to finish!
I absolutely adored this series! Funny and full of feels, I fell hard right along with Mona and Abram. The build-up of attraction and sexual tension is only eclipsed by the depth of feeling these two have for each other. I love the characters’ honesty and courage in dealing with their issues. Soulful and smart. Penny Reid at her best!
