I’ve been called wild. Dirty. Untamed. I moved to the woods to get away from the bullsh*t of the city. People there don’t understand a man like me. I work hard, and my hands are as calloused as my heart. And nothing’s gonna change that. Then I meet Harper. A storm brought her to my doorstep, and soon enough I take her in my arms. And on the floor. And on the table. And in the great outdoors. But … And in the great outdoors.
But this girl keeps running.
She says she has a problem that a wild man like me can’t fix.
But she’s wrong—I can be everything she needs.
I just have to prove that to her.
Dear Reader,
TIMBER features an untamed man who takes a virgin. Please don’t read if you’re not ready for hot sex that will make you reach for that vibrator hidden under your pillow. If the batteries are out, your own hand will do.
No shame, babycakes. Enjoy this steamy story! You deserve it.

I love books about remote location scene woods, cabins, bad weather, and bad boys this book meet all my expectations and more. Love it.
Dear God, please pick something else. I expected raunchy. The cover and title give that away. My mom has dirtier sex. And the dumb, yee gods the dumb, my eye muscles hurt from all the rolling they did. The wood puns never stop, and it’s meant to be sexy. I can just hear someone saying, “cause he’s a sexy lumberjack–get it.” But no, dude is a hipster playing at being a lumberjack. Chick is playing at being an adult and Lord help them raising those babies. As in please wrath of God them and let someone with sense raise the babies with the stupid names. She Gooped up those baby names, just like that peabrain in Hollywood. The stupid doesn’t stop at the MCs there is also a whole world of religious nuttery. Just get something else and send this back to the Pits of Hell from whence it came.
For Jaxon Lane moving to the mountains was suppose to be a way to escape the city and the judgmental eyes that seem to follow you everywhere you go. While living in the city Jaxon worked hard to build up his business from the ground up and he played the field even harder. But messing with the wrong girl landed him in hot water that was threatening his company. Now he’s stepped back to become a silent partner and lives off the grid with just his cabin, dog, and axe. He is convinced he’s happy with his life, if not a bit lonely. So when an innocent doe eyed woman shows up on his doorstep he doesn’t feel any guilt about the lustful feelings she invokes with him. It’s as if someone answered his prayers causing her to get stranded during a snowstorm with only his cabin around.
At the age of 21, Harper was sure she had her life figured out. She was to marry Luke, settle down and have his babies. Growing up in a strict religious household and community, Harper hasn’t experienced much of the world beyond the church. After her fiancé runs away a week before the wedding she’s determined to take a time out by herself and determine what she wants out of her life now. Running into a lumberjack who literally turns her into a puddle of mush seems to have answered any questions Harper has about her life direction.
One night, that’s all they were suppose to share, but things take a turn and have turned Harper and Jax’s world upside down in different ways. For Harper she starts to question her faith and the practices her father preaches about sinners. For Jax he’s never thought about a woman in the long-term, much less kids!
Who doesn’t love a good bad boy/lumberjack romance?
I will say after reading this Jax is the kind of bad boy you really want to hate, especially when you get a front row seat to just how arrogant and full of himself he can be. He is probably one of the few hero’s in a book that I just absolutely hated while reading the book and only slightly warmed up to by the end. Like I won’t say I hated him after finishing the book, I guess I just wanted him to grovel a bit more, especially after some of the comments he made towards Harper. He quite literally puts his foot in his mouth so many times and poor Harper…she just kept forgiving him and just going with the flow that Jax set for them without really thinking too much about what she wanted.
I finished this story June 11th, but I couldn’t write a review then. I know it has issues, but I’m having a hard time remembering what they are now… nope. Just remembered. A prof reader is needed. There is one chunk I remember needing help specifically but I have the memory of there being more.
Other than that, the girl got on my nerves a little. She kept going back home. The first time I get, but the last two times? No. Maybe, my leaving of the church has colored that part of the story a bit more than it should have, but you bring your life experiences with you. What else?
Loved the ending. Rolled my eyes at the baby names. And throughout the book I saw the set up for a series that I didn’t know already existed. I consider the discrip of the story to be a little misleading so it was a little disappointing when I didn’t come across the conflict that I was expecting.
At this point, you may be asking why I gave the story 4 out of 5 stars. For one, I can’t give it 3.5 stars, and the sex was nailed down, and the story’s premise is good, and it had a great ending.
This was a book I was unsure of at first but so so glad I got it. Great writing.
Didn’t care for this book
OMG! Let me start this review by saying I picked Timber up as kind of a joke. It was free at the moment it came to my attention and by some of the reviews I just couldn’t help myself, I had to see what it was like.
I was hoping to get a raunchy Alexa Riley meets Jordan Silver kind of story, which proves to you I do read this trope when I’m in a certain mood, but this whole thing was just… confusing.
Harper, who comes from what seems a very narrow-minded, rigid religious family, is the epitome of innocent, sheltered young girl who turns into porn-star-worthy sex adept from just one look at the H. So that happens. But she has deep(ish) beliefs and she struggles with leaving the life her family chose. And then she doesn’t. And then she does again. And then she definitely doesn’t again.
Jax’s character made absolutely ZERO effing sense. He was supposed to be this manwhore who slept with anything that walked, landing himself in trouble. So, instead of being a grown-up and start discriminating where he puts it, he decides to seclude himself as “the city life is not for him anymore” and starts deforesting a mountain with his ax for no apparent reason.
The rest is some raunchy sex, a guy that goes over the side of hot-and-cold and into multiple-personality-disorder, a girl who’s so “naïve” she makes a jellyfish look smart, and a ton of other crap that makes almost no sense at all. I laughed my ass off at the absurdity of it all. In all honesty? I’d say don’t bother with this one.
Don’t waste your money. Worst book ever! Very juvenile writing. The story could have been good. But honestly, the author should find another line of work. It was not the plot, or the content. It was poorly written & rushed. I’m a 59 year old woman who loves to read all genres, & have read hundreds of books if not into the thousands. I had to stop reading several times throughout because I was so annoyed. But my OCD wouldn’t allow me to just stop. Lol
A super easy to read in between books kinda book. Moves along quickly and a bit sexy (who doesn’t like those).
I really in joyed this book I want to read the rest of the series
some word choices were a bit silly.
Storyline is good. Just a little overboard (tacky) with the sex!
The book is too short. less then 100 pages for $2.99 and theirs 10 book to this series
Sad to think there are still cultures out there like this even though this was fiction.
What a fun read! This unusual happily ever after story was one to leave you questioning why your life seems so normal!
I was confused at first but in the end, it is a very good book.
Knowing several *PK’s” this book was realistic to me! Very well written .
This could have been a much better read had there been some transition text in major topic changes in the story, as they lost me twice. Also there are multiple grammar issues.
I liked it kept me reading
I read it all but I’m not going to recommend it other than a free read. The male character was made out to be too vulgar & somewhat sexist.
